If the eye makeup remover is oil-based or can remove waterproof makeup, the remover will wipe off the stain. A regular makeup remover won't make it budge.

It can be hard to remove the lash stain from your skin. Either you need to wipe it off quickly, before it dries, or use a touch of eye makeup remover on a qtip to remove it.

No. It is not really a stain. It is more like a strong waterproof mascara. You can remove it from your skin easily. In fact, the mascara comes off with soap and water.

I had gotten some of it on my skin and had to basically scratch it off! I used the product properly and still got it on my skin. I did as directed to remove it with the eye makeup remover, and it still wouldn't come off! It then only lasted one day. It flaked off into my eyes and had bright red puffy eyes all the following day! This product was a good idea in theory but actually a horrible product.

In the event the mascara gets on your skin during application, you can remove it with make up remover applied with a cotton swab. It is not a dye that will stain your skin.

this performed absolutely no different from any other mascara. it smudged, it came off. the package says that using oil-based eye makeup removers will take it off, but i highly doubt that it could stand up to non-oil based, either. it wasn't at all what i expected. i returned it.

I believe make-up remover will take most of this off. If you use a remover product, it will need to be re-applied every day. You're better off with a waterproof product because at least that will give you volumizing, lengthening, etc.

What happens when you use makeup remover?
I'll still be using make-up remover at night to get rid of the rest of my eye makeup. I wonder what happens when I do that - does it still stay put or do I remove part or all of it? Very excited about this product!

Dear tarte product users,

An oil-based remover will remove this stain. Other non oil-based removers also will lessen the intensity of the stain. We recommend avoiding makeup remover of any time around lash and eye area for optimal results of this product.

This product is really more of a strong waterproof mascara, but less irritating. I don't imagine that it would respond any better to an eyelash curler than any other mascara. I use it because it does not turn my eyeballs red, like so many other mascaras, and I remove it nightly.

Curl your lashes prior to using this item; we don't suggest using a lash curler after applying this or any other mascara, as the mascara might stick to the curler, which could cause lashes to come out.

Dear Tarte Product Users,

Yes! You can use our 4 Day Stay with or without mascara. To use with mascara apply 1-2 coats immediately following lash stain application.

If you would like to apply mascara 2-3 days post lash stain application use Rejuvelash De-clumping Lash Exhilarator to emulsify lash stain and then immediately follow with 1-2 coats of mascara.

Can I use an eyelash curler days 2-4?
Most recommendations are to use curler before any product is on lashes. Will breakage be caused by using a curler with the stain still in place?

It's likey that you could get breakage or just have mashed looking lashes if you attempt to use an eyelash curler after applying the product. I wouldn't do it but I also don't like leaving makeup on overnight. Hope this helps?

Question
Vitiligo, white eyelashes. Dye or mascara?
The reviews for this don't look promising, but some people seem to think this is a mascara. Is it a dye, or does it coat lashes like a mascara? My eyelashes are as white as snow, and some black dyes just turn them blue. Would it be advisable to try for full coverage of my strange looking eyelashes? Can I wear regular mascara over it? Does it only have a short shelf life like mascara? Is the texture dry or liquidy/creamy? Does Sephora offer any other dye-type lash colour? Thanks for your help.

I'm not a doctor or a chemist so I really don't know about what's best for you, but I love this product. It wear off on the ends some, but it really does last for days. You can just touch up the ends...and clean around the lashes until you're ready to remove it with eye makeup remover (I like Nars). If I were you I'd give it a try, you might be disappointed but you might love it. Good luck.
