Questions & Answers for Tarte 4 Day Stay Lash Stain

Question
long-lasting?
I see that this eyelash stain will not fade, flake, or wash off. However, if I wear this along with eyeshadow and/or eyeliner that I do want to remove at night, will the eyelash stain come off if I use cold cream to remove my other eye makeup? I'd be following the cold cream with a sudsing cleanser and water.

Yes, if you use some sort of make up removing product it will come off but maybe only partially and leave you with a raccoon eye. This mascara is awesome but I suggest (because this is how I use it) putting it on daily and taking it off nightly.

Yes. It's very easy to remove. I have no problem removing it and I usually use a lotion based remover.

I've found that normal eye makeup removal routines won't completely remove this mascara (unless you really want to). Unfortunately, in my experience it doesn't last too much more than a day anyway. It's not a true stain - it is a coating of some sort, but it's a resilient one - so like I said, normal eye makeup removal won't take it all off ... but I think it will take some.

Cold Creams often remove waterproof eye makeup, so this is likely to remove this item as well. You may want to try using a q-tip with a makeup remover to target the makeup you wish to remove, or you can take everything off and start fresh if desired.

Either wait until the product wears off, or use an oil or silicone-based makeup remover. This is not an easy product to remove, so do NOT scrub it off. Let the remover soak in a bit, then gently wipe it off.

Question
Will it be available in brown?
I have green eyes, very dark hair, brows, and eyelashes, but very fair skin. I can't wear mascaras that are too dark, they are too harsh (also VERY aging!). Why do you not offer better mascara colors for fair women?

I would think that this formulation, which is light in texture and not heavily pigmented, would be fine for a fair person. It doesn't scream "made up" at all and I don't think brown would be necessary if that's what you're concerned about. However, overall I was disappointed with this product's staying power and it didn't lengthen or volumize at all, so if you're looking for those features, I'd choose something else.

Several lines carry brown or plum mascaras that would be great for your coloring.
Try the Benefit Bad Gal in plum or brown
Bare Essentials Flawless Definition in espresso
Dior Show in chestnut (more of a warm brown)
Lancome Defincils Precious Cells in brown or their Hypnose in brown.
Have fun!

This is very subtle. The black isn't too dark, it just makes you look like you naturally have nice lashes. I haven't met anyone who this doesn't look completely natural on, from friends with the fairest skin and blondest hair to my grandmother with dark hair and fair skin and my mom with ash blond hair and tan skin. I love it too and I have tan skin and dark hair.

This is a natural product that seems to be better used for purposes I listed below. Tarte you need some help in marketing your products. If gals think this is a replacement for traditional mascara and or try to keep it on for days they will not buy it.

There are great mascara products on the market (drug store brands) for $5 to $8 bucks. If you want the traditonal mascara with all of the the drawbacks, and there are many, go with the highly rated drugstore products and save money.

I do not even see why Tarte or other high end brands would waste time or money marketing a replacement for the traditional mascara products as the stuff in the drugstore is the best out there and used by the make up artists.

I see this as an alternative to traditional mascara products. It is natural, and much better for your eyes, not toxic, easy to remove, gives a nice soft look while defining your eye lashes and making it look like you have a more naturally looking eye lash (no need to buy that eye lash growing expensive product)

Tarte, here are some marketing pros that you should use to sell this product as it is great five star for me, and I want more colors and would cry if this is discontinued due to low ratings.

This product seems more designed for those who:
1). Want a natural based green product better for your body and health

Traditional mascara products have lots of toxic chemicals ladies and you do get it in your eyes, which leads to alot of irritation and "red eye", absorbing bad chemicals in your body, and eye infections

2). Have issue with traditional mascara on the market

4). Have issues with mascara flecking off to the undereye area

4). Do not want that tugging on the eye lashes with eyemake up remover that is needed to take off most mascara products and all of the irritation associated with removing the strong stuff

This produt comes off very easily my very gentle eye makeup remover and I can use a very gentle eye make up remover instead of the tough stuff

5). Do not want that full thick fake look, and want a more natural softer look or what they call the no make up or minimal make up look to enhance your natural beauty

This is the first product that has ever worked for me and I am now in my mid 40's and have tried everything and every technique on the market only to have irritated eyes and black flecks on my under eyes and tugging on my lashes to get the stuff off

I should also mention that I with their clay based TM, I don't think you need a primer esp if you have oily skin

I should also mention I love the shadows. Some of the shadows (Dior) on the market are TOXIC. These are lovely and "green" and more healthy.

I also do not think you need a primer under the shadows as they are made to absorb oil hence remove another produt from your make up kit and save money

Protect your body and eyes.

TARTE get your marketing right and you will sell your products.
