VERY shimmery. I used it for a night out and was in dim lighting and friends actually noted how shimmery they looked (and not in a good way). It turned my legs orange and streaky.

Hi,

It looked more glisteny on me than overly shimmery but I rubbed any possible excess off with a towel as suggested by a sales person. If there was any shimmer as reported by one of the other reviewers, maybe the towel took it away. I'm really pleased with it.

Hope this helps.

It is a shimmer but not overly. I cannot recommend it though, because it is difficult to use. I have only used it on my arms and chest do to the the fact it does not stay in the container. I thought it rolled up like a deodorant, it doesn't. It smells good and it repels water, nice color, hard to control to use, if the container was revised it would be great.

I would not recommend this on your face. It turned my legs very orange, extremely glittery and streaky, so I can't imagine that would be good for the face.

It does rub off on anything - fabric, car seats, shoes, sheets, etc. I crossed my legs when I was wearing it and I had a bald spot on both sides of my legs where they were in contact with a big dark orange ring around it. I don't recommend this product.

answer 5
Hi,

I've tried trial runs twice so far and haven't had any staining and it hasn't rubbed off. However, the consultant suggested that I use a towel when dry and rub it over my legs, so maybe that picked up anything that would have rubbed off. Since the towel was dark, I really didn't see any discoloration on the towel. I haven't tried it with a light color either, so I can't comment on light colors, but I did try with a print, and haven't seen anything rub off. I have to say that it sure makes my pale legs look naturally healthy.

Hope this helps.

From my experience, it stains very easily until it drys. The worst part is that when the stick dislodges from the cylinder, it falls out and then stains anything it comes in contact with.

I've used it on my arms before and as long as I rub it in really well, it looks nice. I have not tried it on my chest, though. I usually just dust some bronzer there with a big fluffy brush because I'm not sure if this stuff would cause breakouts.

Tinyt reviewed:
"For darker complexions.

Quick Take: opaque coverage
I initially bought Michael Kors Leg Shine To Go which obviously was not made for black girls b/c it didn't show up on my skin. This bronzing stick definately showed up and gave me a nice glow. You get to decide how light or dark you want to apply it. It also had no annoying scent like the Michael Kors one did."

I ordered the Michael Kors in classic. I really wanted to like it. But honestly, it didn't show up at all. It was colorless, which didn't bother me that much since I was buying it as a leg shine, but it also was not shiny. It was neither shimmery or shiny. It was like rubbing on a clear deoderant stick. Then I went to the store and saw the Tarte one. I tried it, and it is fantastic. Very easy to apply. It is not really a leg shine, it's a shimmer/contour. It is a dark bronze that can be lightened by blending. I def recommend tarte.

The Kors leg stick has a strong smell that stays so you can't use it and your favorite perfume together. Also, the Tarte seems to give a better color, the Kors is very sheer.

i ordered MK leg shine first - it was worthless - just clear grease - it had no color and would not dry - it transfered onto clothing - the tarte does not transfer - i returned the MK and keep stock on hand of glam gam-the tarte oil is fabulous also

Question
Can I use this on CHEEKS?
I wanna know if I can use this on CHEEKS also? I was thinking of using this on other areas like: chest, decolletage, lower back?

I mentioned using this on the cheeks, because I noticed that the regular Tarte CHEEK stick is $30 for 1 oz. However, this Tarte LEG brozing stick is also the same price ($30) but it holds 2X the amount at 2 oz! So essentially I would be getting WAY more uses with this...even if I used everywhere from head to toe?!

You can definitely use this bronzing stick on the cheeks as well! You're not just limited to your body, use it anywhere where you want a flash of a bronzy look to the skin. It would be super pretty during the summer months too, for a bronzed goddess look.

I just swipe it on parts I would like to be a little more lively and blend it with my hands. I kind of looks like a giant deodorant, where you push the product up through the bottom. It's not messy at all, just give your hands a good washing after applying and wait just a second to get dressed! Good luck sister!

It makes me less self conscious about my legs. Again I have to encourage everyone to use a moisturizer before you apply so that you have no problems blending. Wash your hands after. Very natural color. Makes legs look healthy and tone."

The scent reminds me of Michael Kors perfume. The scent isn't over-the-top but it's nice. I used the product on my tanned legs and pale feet. It did not tranfer on my clothes or my shoes. The product lasted all day and did not even tranfer onto my sheets. I don't see why you couldn't use this on your chest or anywhere else.
