I think the fair or luminous would be great for you. It has some coverage but if you are looking for more full coverage I would try the healthy definition foundation from Smashbox in F0.
I don't think you would get a tan look from these though. The color takes just seconds to blend into your skin.

No. This is not a fake tanning product, the color won't "show up". Its a tinted moisturizer, which means it offers light to medium coverage. It works like a creamier and sheerer foundation.

If you are looking for full coverage then this product would not be for you as it is a sheer formula. Dior, Clinique, Lancome, CK and LORAC to mention a few make excellent foundations. Try your luck there instead!

When looking for a foundations color match I always test. Most women test on their arms, but you should always test on your face. Ask for help when going in a Sephora store and they will be more then happy to assist you. Because I dont know your extact match without seeing you I advise you experiment. Color should show up quickly. Then add a light bronzer, nothing dark or orange based. Try Warmth from Bare Minerals. Perfect for all skin tones! Hope that helps!

I think the fair shade would be best for you as it works for very light and light skin tones. The color shows right away when you apply it.

I don't think this will be the product you are looking for. This is more like a lightweight foundation, not a tanning lotion.

To find the right color you'll have to go into the store and try on a few to make sure. The coverage is good enough to cover up without looking heavy. Does give a nice tan glow.

Color for fair skin?
Anyone else have very fair skin? I am very pale-- I often have trouble finding makeup that is not too dark/ too orangey. Is anyone else in the same situation, and which color of this do you use? Thanks!

I agree that Luminous would be a great match for your skin. I am also very fair and it's tough to find natural looking light tones, but this was perfect. It's cooler toned than the fair shade, and would be less noticeable.

Luminous was the color I picked for my fair skin, it is a bit more glowy than the light shade. I think the luminous would be for you if you want really sheer coverage and a bit of a glow, and light if you want a more natural finish.

Hi - I am quite pale with freckles. To put into perspective, when I buy foundation I usually buy either the lightest (if it only comes in a handful of shades) or the second lightest (if it comes in many shades). I am using the shade called Light for this product and it's perfect on me. I think this product runs a bit lighter than you would think.

Yes this blends well into skin tone. The only reason I know I am wearing it is because I can feel the tingly citrus in it and then my face looks 100% flawless!

I feel this product serves dually as a foundation and cover-up. I still use a moisturizer before because I have dry skin but this is all I use; no other concealer, foundation or powder necessary. I guess it really depends on what kind of coverage one needs.

I also have very sensitive skin, but I found this was perfect. It's much lighter feeling than foundation, and my skin did not tingle or burn one bit with this. In fact, it even helped calm the redness in my skin. My skin is oily and acne-prone, and it has not made me break out (knock on wood), it actually seems to help control the oil.

I have blotchy red spots on my skin and this covers it well and evens my skin tone. It gives me a beautiful matte finish especially with a little powder dusted over it.

The product is very sheer, so there is very little pigment to mask a lot of uneven skin tone. It does the edge off, but in no way covers like a foundation.
Works really well under Bare Minerals though--gives an extra boost and makes a noticeable difference when used that way.

I have the Luminous shade, and it brightens my skin and slightly covers imperfections. I don't recommend this product if you are hoping for a flawless finish that foundation provides. I use it to quickly add moisture, sun-protection, and a little coverage — and get out the door!

Question
How glittery is luminous?
I'm on the fence between luminous and light. I want to look healthy and glowing, but not overly shimmery or pearlescent. I don't want to look like I'm wearing makeup.

There is no shimmer in it really. I use Luminous on my fair skin and it evens out my skin tone, makes it look healthy but there is no added glitter or shimmer.

Question
Significant difference between Luminous and Fair? Best bet?
I love this product, but is there a significant difference between the two shades of Luminous and Fair? I'm fairly pale with dark golden hair, and found that both shades seemed to blend well into my skin tone. Which is the better bet?

Luminious is the best bet. It's a neutral shade that works on any skin tone. There is a hint of beige undertone, but not enough that it would over powder your current skin tone. It's such a sheer wash of color and the luminious shade will brighten your skin tone.

I can't really say which shade is better for you, because it really comes down to which shade looks best. However, I do have a suggestion on picking between shades. You will need a little free time and a trusting-honest friend. Cover one half of your face in one shade and the other half in the other. Grab a mirror and go out side (or to a really, really well lit room)-- because bright light really helps you see the best features of and flaws of your make-up. Have your friend help you decide which shade looks the best. Sorry I couldn't answer your question about the difference between the shade, but the more important question is which shade suits you best!
