Hi there!

Yes, of course; this product does contain DHA (the carrot derrivative to make the colour look golden on skin). The smell is very faint, but it is there. It's highly effective and you need to apply it only once, as the application ration is about one application to three days.

Hope this helps!

This one container will last me (on average) all season long, probably into next fall. Did you know, you can mix it with your moisturizer (half strength) to maintain the glow, once you've achieved that perfect shade? I wouldn't try mixing it with any specialty body lotions sych as anti-aging or ones that have heavy chemical components; scented ones are fine.

1 application lasts approximately 4-5 days, depending on how much you shower of course. I haven't used all of the product yet but I would say there are approximately 10-12 applications per tub.

Please see my review.

I asked this in the store and apparently the cream is tinted so you can see where it's been applied.

I have been told the cream is better for dry skin and the gel for oilier skin.

My skin is on the drier side. I have used both the gel and the cream and prefer the cream. My skin feels tight when I use the gel.

How often should I apply the Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Lotion??

IMO the color fades in approx 4-5 days (showering every 2nd day). Of course it also depends how often you are in the water, ie: swimming, showering.

I like the color to be fairly dark so I re-apply every 3-4 days and I have very light skin.

Tip: If you want your tan to last do not exfoliate every time you shower. Only exfoliate in the shower just before you re-apply the product.

Question
VS St. Tropez?
I have used this brand before and know I liked how believable the color comes out, but always felt like it didn't quite make me dark enough. How do those of you who have used St. Tropez feel about it vs that line? I am fair, if that helps. Thank you!

I'm fair-skinned as well. I used to use Clarins and now I've switched to St. Tropez gel and lotion and couldn't be happier. The clarins is a nice moisturizer but the color builds so gradually, it requires several days worth of applications. That tends to eat your product up very quickly. With St. Tropez you will get a BLAST of color with the very first application! You'll love it.

I am fair and stick mostly with clarins. You have more control to build but with Tropez it can get way Brown and patchy on our skin.

Question
Does this tanner last?
I will be wearing a strapless gown to my son's wedding and I have strap marks I need to get rid of. I was just wondering if this will last and will it do the job? I am African American and medium-light complected with a tan. Is there something better I should try?
