I have a bottle of both and the ingredients are exactly the same so it appears only the bottles look different. I am not sure why they are marketing it as an improved formula.

Not all sulfates are bad or harsh on your hair! Does some research and become more educated on sulfates! The sulfates in this shampoo are NOT the kind that should be avoided.

Question
Does this work well for red hair color?
My natural hair color is red, but I am at the age where coloring has become necessary! As any redhead knows, it's the color that's hardest to keep. Is this shampoo effective for red-colored hair (does it really guard against fading and work to keep the color)? Help please - thanks!

Yes, I've heard red is a very difficult color to maintain - I'm not certain about the integrity of this product for your color yet b/c I have not used it long enough. My hair is dark with blond highlights and I'm testing it to see if it prevents my blond from turning. So far, I like the texture and lather but not certain I like my finished product (hairstyle) after using.

Question
Good for sensitive or acne prone scalp?
I have coarse, dry hair but most shampoos make me break out with scalp and hairline acne. The ingredient list doesn't have anything that I believe is acnegenic, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know?

YES! I have the same issue with a lot of conditioners. I tend to break out in cystic body acne/scalp acne when I use conditioners with a lot of parabens in them. Pantene is by far the WORST I have ever used. It gives me horrible cystic acne. However, I have very dry, damaged hair and this Technician line of products not only DOESN'T make me break out, but my hair is moisturized and bouncy again! It has literally saved my hair, I seriously considered shaving it all off and starting again a few times before trying this!!!!

I recommend; Phytolactum + Intelligent Shampoo by Phyto. On of my close girlfriends has the same problem, and she's never been happier after using this. It's her lifesaver, she claims. I hope I helped!

Question
products for bleached hair
I received the glossing creme as a sample and loved it, and am considering trying more Fekkai products, but I have always found buying shampoos/conditioners frustrating because I never know which properties I want/need. I have dark brown hair that I want to cut very short and bleach blonde, but should I try the technician shampoo or the protein rx shampoo? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I would suggest the Technician shampoo - it's moisturizing and gentle so it will help keep your color while at the same time work to make it healthier. If you have any doubts, I would ask a Sephora rep to make you a few samples to take home and try yourself before spending the money! I did this before when trying to decide which shampoo/conditioner combination to buy and I ended up loving the one I thought I would (the technician shampoo/conditioner!)

I don't know that I would say it repairs hair from an iron - too early to tell but from what I've noticied so far - I would say no. I used my normal spray before ironing (after washing my hair with the Fekkai); noticied I def. still needed the spray as my hair was still 'fuzzy' and I did have a hard time getting a good finished look. My rating for the product would be relative to its claim only b/c I def. needed add'l products to make my hair look decent.

I get my hair done very-very-very blonde and straighten it, so I know a lot about breakage and damaged hair. I would recommend this brand for your damaged hair, because....honestly....it's not that great. I recommend the Phyto 9 Daily Ultra Nourishing Botanical Cream for Ultra Dry Hair. Put it one the ends of your hair whenever. It really helped mine. I also recommend the Phytokarite Ultra Nourishing Mask- Ultra Dry Hair. While in the shower, remove the excess water from your hair, and apply to the ends and let sit in your hair for 5-10 minutes. The steam really helps in penetrate, and it made a HUGE difference in the strength and resilency of my hair. It's a little pricey, but it's totally worth it, and the product last for a ridiculously long time.

Question
Relaxers
I am of African American descent and currently using Glossing Sheer Shine Mist. I also have thin/soft hair, a relaxer and currently only using a cellophane, as I had bad experiences w/ highlights. Is the Technician Shampoo for Dry, Damaged, Color-treated hair a good product for me? My hair is not damaged, but I apply heat whenever needed via a curling iron.

It should work well for you, but you may want to get the hair mask as well to use once or twice a week. It isn't as moisturizing as the shampoos that I've tried that were specifically designed for African American hair, so it may not be quite up to the task alone, depending on how fussy your hair can get.

Question
which shampoo/conditioner would help w/my frizzy hair?
I have naturally kinky/curly hair, (non ethnic), it was recently relaxed (used Rusk), I know this is usually very damaging but believe me, the only way I can deal w/my curly hair, my question is, which shampoo will tame my frizz but not make my curls go completely limp? I love my curls but not the frizz. There are so many moisturizing/damage control products out there, it makes my head spin, please help!

Try L'Anza Healing Colour Care shampoo and condition - very moisturing, Sulfate free so it won't cause breakage and damage. You can also get L'Anza "trauma treatment" which is a leave in smoother that will absolutely take away any frizz.
