Its sort of like a tubing mascara, but you won't see a bunch of little tubes all over the sink when you wash it off, and you won't get those irritating little tubes in you eyes either. It also looks much more natural than Blink tubing mascara.

There is absolutely no clumping, as long as you apply modestly. This mascara is my favourite, I've been using it for three years. The wand is very thin. I highly recommend it.

I've never had it clump. The formula is wet enough that you can get a really good coat before it dries, and the brush combs through the lashes really well.

I have not experienced any clumping. The tiny wand is surprisingly wonderful at separating and reaching each lash. If I could say anything negative about it, it would be that I've had very occasional flaking, probably because I put too much on.

Yes it lasts through tears, I wore it to my sons high school graduation and it wore beautifully, and boy did I cry!!! It comes off really well on a warm wash cloth but I just jump in the shower wash my face and then I just gently rub my closed eyes with a wet finger and off it comes, not in smudges almost like little tubes off each lash. No pulling or tugging required.

Perfect for weddings or anytime a little tear might fall. I wear it in the gym and no smear. And I have many a tear filled night out (good and bad) w/ friends and this mascara really lasts. Simply the best mascara ever!

I wore it all day in a pool so reapeated dunking :) and during work outs with no smears. My lashes are pretty long but I've always found that if you apply to the front and back of your top lashes it coats and lengthens to the max. Apply to your front first, then the back of the outer part of your eye only then a second coat to the entire front portion of the top.

I can attest that it holds up to sweat and tears without a smudge. In my experience, it doesn't move until you remove it!
As for lengthening - my lashes look longer after application but I've always wondered if that was an artifact of darkening what is already there. I know I was surprised to see how long my lashes were after use.

Yes! This mascara survived the emotional meltdowns during my pregnancy with no problem. I have never had it smear or run. It lengthens and defines. I wish I would have discovered it for my wedding!

For me, it lengthens. But it works even better if I use the primer mascara first. As for the tears...on me the mascara truly does not smear no matter what. Even when I wash it off it just kinda forms into these little balls and come right off. I must say I had a bad experience not too long ago where I was doing more than your typical amount of crying, and it did come off, but didn't smear and leave black marks on my face.

Definitely will withstand without looking like a panda afterwards. I bawled twice, took a nap, biked and frequently touched my eyes (allergies) and it still looked like it did when I applied it that morning. I give it a wedding approval :D.

This mascara can get hardening, but if you apply it the right way, it will not clump. Do not apply too many "fast" coats. What I mean by this is don't simply run the brush through your lashes quickly. Let the brush slowly glide through your lashes from root to tip, adding more coats as you desire like so. That is how you get the best results with this mascara, with no clumps. :) Hope this helps!

It doesn't create much volume, just defines and lengthens a little. It creates a natural look in my opinion, but I havn't tried more than a single coat. It has a pretty thin brush- not like the big thick ones that usually go with volumizing mascaras. I havn't had any trouble with flaking or smudging either.

The wear is pretty soft because it gives a more natural coat, and the brush applicator is very dense so it also helps to prevent clumping or over applying. You really don't have to put much on, however if you want a little more drama, and volume but the same durability, i would recommend High Impact Curling Mascara.

This Mascara will not clump. You don't have to put a lot on, for this a little goes a long way. And Your lashes will harden after about 12-16 hours. But It does come off easily and when you take it off it makes your lashes really soft.

The only time I've had trouble with clumping was when I had put it on in the morning and then tried to apply more coats later in the day. I usually just wear one or two coats and it looks great and my lashes don't get hard or clump.

My lashes are still flexible and it goes on very easily and doesn't clump. It is easy to do more than one coat if you want to.

i have not had it harden up or get clumpy...yet! i have just been wearing it for about a month and love it! my lashed do not feel crispy, but are not soft & natural either. if you're looking for soft & natural try clinique naturally glossy, if you want crispy try clinique lash doubling. i use all 3 depending on my day.

No it doesn't. Your eyelashes are still very flexible while wearing this mascara.

As far as application, the Long-Wearing has a short brush which I happen to prefer. As the name indicates it is long wearing, I had some smudging under the eye with the other. Both are reasonably priced good products.

I like the high definition so much better than the long wearing Lash Power. High def gives better definition of lashes, lashes look longer, has a fuller brush, goes on smoother, is easy to reapply later if needed, and for me doesn't flake or smudge. Also high def is easy to take off when you're ready where as Lash Power is very hard to take off.

It does not at all compare to Clinique High Definition mascara. I much prefer the High Def, but was looking for something waterproof. This did not make my lashes look as full as the High Definition mascara does.

To me Clinique high definitions gives buildable volume to give thick lashes. Lash power is for times when you want no fuss definition to lashes to give an enhanced lash if you want to avoid smudging from humidity, exercise, water etc. Lash power will not give you the volume and length of high definition.

For me this item doesn't give me raccoon eyes..Stays on nicely all day...Washes off easy

not as great for volume and length but you cant beat the way it wears. it even held up to 3 martial arts classes without budging

I have used both ( actually ALL Clinique products) and think this may be the best. It IS long lasting and as I said in my rating -so easy to apply to every single lash because of the smaller brush. LOVE IT. Hope this helps.

I haven't used the high definition formula. Most likely because I needed the type that was closest to waterproof.

I rate this over high definition because it does not smudge.

I've used a L'Oreal primer underneath Lash Power. I've also used a regular Tarte mascara underneath Lash Power. There is a sign at the Sephora store next to Lash Power saying it's not supposed to be used with a Clinique mascara primer, but I've always wondered why.

This mascara is great for staying on without smudging and or flaking and it never clumps. I just decided on my own to start first with a coat of regular primer or another mascara that is more volumizing before coating a top layer of Lash Power.

I have very, very sensitive eyes that water easily; I have contact lenses; and I have allergies. This mascara does not irritate my eyes, which is a minor miracle.

No need for primer. The tubing effect lengthens lashes more noticeably than other mascara.

I would not recommend using a primer with this product. The mascara essentially already has a primer in it, which is why it can last so long. :) I hope this helps!

Not really. One of the benefits of Lash Power is that it's a tubing mascara. It uses polymers instead of waxy stuff, so it doesn't leave smudges under your eyes. If you put on a primer before the mascara, you'll be preveting the mascara from adhering to your lashes like it should.

I used Blinc exclusively for years and liked it but wasn't in love with it. I needed a mascara that didn't run but I felt that Blinc clumped. I decided to try something new and found this mascara and I LOVE it. No clumping and no running. I would suggest giving it a shot.

I don't have an answer for you because Blinc was a nightmare for me and there definitely were no tubes! lol

I was never a fan of the tubes because some of them would come off my lashes during the day when I touched my eyes or eyelids and I never found the application to be easy or fool-proof. I find the Clinique mascara doesn't come off as easily when dry, just comes off easily with warm water and very gentle pressure. You might find it less volumizing because it's not creating the same kind of "tube" around the lashes, but I'm so happy with the formula because it's a simple mascara, easy to use, easy to take off, and smooth to apply. I wish the amount was larger for the price you pay (you might want to compare the price to volume of product first between the two brands). Also, the brush is quite small and narrow...I like it but it is different from other mascaras and the tube mascaras. It does get at the smaller lashes easily though.

I've used both... and while it's been a few years since I used Blinc (not sure why I stopped), this is definitely just as good, if not better. I'm loving this (and the price).
