Use the funnel to pour from your bottle into the atomizer. Keeps from spilling.

you have to spray it in the funnel ( get it close) and not just above it. it doesnt go everywhere

Simply pop the top off and put the funnel in. Then spray or pour the perfume in and it drains in. Very simple and easy.

The top unscrews and it comes with a tiny funnel, so you just spray the desired perfume into the funnel to fill up the reserve, it's really easy once you see it.

What else can you put in it?
I was thinking about getting the Evian spray for my face since summer is coming up and I live in South Texas (HOT!!!!). I kind of thought that $10 for a bottle of water to spray on your face was a little ridiculous. Would filling one of these up with water work for spraying on your face for a quick makeup revival? Thanks!

You can refill this with water, however when it sprays out, it will not come out as a light mist like the evian water sprays. As this was made primarily for fragrances.

Take the spritzer top off (silver part pops right out) and hold it directly up to where your perfume sprays out (with or without the funnel). Then spray the perfume into the vial and/or funnel and it will fill up the atomizer. Most perfumes don't have twist off tops so the only way I know to fill it is to spray it full. Hope this helps!

Does this atomizer really hold 0.5 oz (15 ml)?
I went into my local Sephora store to buy this slim pink atomizer, but the label said it only holds 3 ml, not 15 ml like the online description says. Did anyone order this online and find that it truly holds 15 ml (0.5 oz)?

Yes, the in store packaging is incorrect. I hope Sephora changes that as that is quite mis-leading. It is indeed 15 ml and the ht is 4.5". The 3 ml is the smaller atomizer and the ht of that I think is 2.5"- 3".

I'm pretty certain that it will be difficult to get rid of any trace of the fragrances you put inside. The scents will blend if you fill and refill it with different things. I recommend that you stick within a certain range of scents (for example, citruses only). Get another atomizer if you like to wear musks or orientals too.
