Here is what the pump version of the primer says:

-Smooth on a layer of primer onto clean skin or after you apply your daily moisturizer.
-Concentrate on areas that are deeply lined and/or rough in texture.
-Photo Finish is great to use under the eye, it helps concealer glide on and stay put, it also prevents foundation from ever looking dry and patchy.
-Follow with your favorite foundation.
-Apply to clean or moisturized skin prior to foundation for complexion perfection.
-Apply evenly over clean, moisturized skin and let set for one minute, then apply foundation as usual.

I have dry skin, so I use this over my moisturizer. But I think some girls use it in place of their moisturizer. It all depends on your skin type!

Question
I'm confused do I use primer or not
I'm 52 have an oily t zone, have tried tarte primer, I felt like I was slicking a greasy coat on my skin, my face looked oily after a few hours. What does a primer really do? Is it a helpful step, tried smashbox years ago also felt like I was applying a layer of silicone, make-up just looked like it was sliding off.

I think the present is too thick. I've really liked Perfekt. It's like a primer/foundation. You might like it too. I have light skin, and so luminous works for my skin tone.

Question
I'm wondering if I should use this oil free light primer or if i can use the regular photo finish primer as it comes highly recommended by many.
I have acne prone skin with oily t-zone but dry in other areas. I also have textural acne scarring and have heard that these products would help to fill in some of the uneven texture. Which product would you recommend, one of the smashbox or do you know of another that would help me? Thank you, Stephanie p.s. I have fairly light colored skin, tan's easily (don't know if that helps) Thanks

I think this primer would work great for you. I have oily skin and this primer to go works great on my skin under and powder or bronzer.
