I've had no problems with peeling or redness after using this product, and I have sensitive skin! It does have a distinctly sulfur smell so I try to use it at night. I'm not sure that anyone smells it after it's on, but don't want to take a chance!

I have combination skin, and even on my dry areas - this product did not dry me out. Give it a shot! You could continue to use your moisturizer with it to doubly make sure.

I have had no peeling occur but I do use a RetinA treatment and salicylic face wash. Both are a "chemical" exfoliants. I used this night and day. I do live in Hawaii so my humidity keeps my skin moist and I do not stay in air conditioning for too long. So, you may want to limit how often you use it.

I have combination oily/normal skin. I do recommend using some sort of moisterizer before applying it; not because it's drying, but because it's a powder and it will reveal flakey skin. After about an hour of wear, it almost fuses with your skin's natural oils. It's definitely not drying, and I haven't had any pealing caused by this product.

RN here - allergy to SULFUR is not the same think as an allergy to SULFA based drug classes. SULFA DRUG allergies are to the sulfonamide class of drugs - there is a sulfur molecule in the formula, but I can find not literate link to any cross sensitivity.
SULFUR is a natural element and is found in many areas - including the human body.
Check with your MD or pharmacist just to be safe.

From an MD: If you are allergic to SULFUR, you cannot use this, because sulfur is the main ingredient in Blemish Therapy. If you are allergic to SULFA medications, see my answer to THAT question (phrased like this, from Anonymous (Proctorville, OH): "This has sulfur in it. I am allergic to sulfa drugs. Will I be allergic to this also?"

SULFUR is a chemical that smells like rotten eggs. Difficult to find in the real world, muchless be allergic to it.
SULFA is one of the original antibiotics, still found in some medications to treat bladder infections. If in doubt, ask your doc or nurse practioner.
This product DOES have 3% SULFA. Hives on top of zits is not pretty!

Works with all complexions?
I see that a lot of reviewers have light or olive skin tones. I know it says translucent, but will it look 'ashy' on my brown skin? Or does it blend/disappear? I wear BE foundation in warm tan if that helps.

I am pretty light skinned and I use this sort of as a really really light concealer on top of my redness/blemishes so it might be a little too white on your more tanner skin. I don't thinks this product can be called translucent.. it definitely is more white than translucent.

I don't think it's translucent. You can try it? It blends for me, but I have very fair skin. I like it because it covers and dissipates redness over blemishes. I really like it, and would recommend it even if you only use it at night (in the privacy of your own home...haha).

I wear BE in Warm Tan and this DOES NOT blend well on brown skin. the deeper your complexion, the 'ashier' it appears. I wondered why BE didn't make this product with at least a tan tint for people of color. I currently use it under my BE foundation, but that sounds like a good idea to mix it instead I'll give that a try too.

I blend blemish therapy in with my bare minerals foundation and apply to my whole face, so I think this would allow all skin tones to use this product and have a perfect match. By itself, this powder is very light, so it would have to be mixed with mineral foundation for darker skin tones.

The blemish therapy did seem to conceal the bigger pores surrounding my T-zone area. Also, the bigger excitement for me personally was the fact that it zapped up the oil throughout the day, better than any pressed powder I've used! I just applied it over my makeup right on my T-Zone and was shine free for most of the day! Hope this helps :)

I would use a primer instead of a belmish therapy to get rid of the appearnce of your pores around your nose. You just need to research on it. I use a couple of primer with my BE foundation because of my giant pores around my cheeks and my nose. It works ... Here is my super secret: I use BE primer and too face poreless. Here's the trick, you have to wait for it to dry. A lot of people do not think it is wet but you need to wait a few minutes for the primer to form on your face to allow it to float. Good luck!

I haven't found that this works very well for blackheads and such. It's great for heavy acne and cystic acne. Try a primer on/around your nose (like the Bare Minerals PrimeTime). That's more likely what you're really looking for.

I use it both ways, depending on where it's being applied, but usually I do use this over the moisturizer so it's sure to stay put. Sometimes, when I need more help w/ this product, I'll just lightly moisturize around the heavily belmished areas & then apply this pretty heavily at night.

Since it is a powder formula, I put it on after my moisturizer. My reasoning is that if I used it before the powder would just get smeared around. I put on my prescription acne medicine first (which is a gel), then moisturizer, then I use this for spot treatment on any active blemishes or areas that are prone to real frequent breakouts (like just beside my nose), and then apply powder over it if I need it.

I use it Over moisturizer and Under makeup. If worn before moisturizer, I feel I'm just rubbing away the Blemish Therapy as I blend the moisturizer. Do moisturizer, let your skin absorb it so your face is not moist anymore. Then do Blemish Therapy, then your makeup routine. As much as possible, if you use a non-BE foundation, don't let that clog up your blemishes even more!

blemish therapy is aimed more towards blemishes. It does help take alittle of the redness out of a blemish but I don't think it works too well to cover. I highly recommend BE bisque to cover...I believe they changed the name to multi tasking concealor or something like that. Or if you want a kit that contains both BE blemish therapy & bisque, get the BE heal & conceal kit. It's around $25 & comes with brushes in a nice case. If you like it, you can then get the larger sizes & refill this smaller kit.

Yes, it's a bit of a concealer - not only does it reduce redness physically, but it is nude-toned. For my skin, though, it is too light to wear during the day (as a spot treatment) without adding at least a little bit of foundation to match my skin tone. Overnight, though, that's not a problem! I use it on problem areas at night and it definitely helps reduce swelling and redness. Since the ingredients are all-natural in BE products, it doesn't clog your skin or anything. I use RareMinerals on my entire face each night and I've never had a problem.

I always use this at bedtime, (wash, dry, and dot on blemish treatment) that is my routine. Sometimes your skin will get a little drier on the treated spots, but I just combat that with a good dose of moisture in the morning pre-makeup. Also remember that if your face wash is too harsh it adds to the drying effect of your skin.

If you are talking about the Skin Revival Treatment (I've used this over 1yr) v. Blemish Therapy (I've used this about 2 weeks), this is my understanding:

Skin Revival Treatment
- increases cell turnover
- since old cells are sloughed off, younger cells show, which creates the appearance of
- smaller pores
- increased radiance
- fewer fine lines, age spots, etc.

Blemish Therapy
- absorbs oil
- fights current acne, while preventing new breakouts
- with my limited use, this has not helped with minimizing the appearance of old acne spots/scars (I'm not sure if with prolonged use if the product would help this)

From my experience, these products are not really meant to "cover up" acne, they are more skincare products; the Skin Revival Treatment is tinted, so it does allow some coverage, but is meant for nighttime use. For concealing acne, I enjoy using the bareMinerals Matte Foundations or Bisques.

I hope this helps... I'm not 100% sure what you are looking for. For acne, I'd choose the Blemish Therapy; for everything else, I'd choose the Skin Revival Treatment.
