4/20/09 If you would like to list your allergens I'll check the label of my jar. (There are about 60 ingredients and some names are 2-3 words.) There's no parfum, FD&C dyes, parabens, talc, SLS, ALS for instance.

4/20/09 The label has over 60 ingredients (2 and 3 word names) so if you would like to list what you're allergic to I could tell you if it has it listed on the label. It has no parabens, no SLS or ALS, no parfum, no FDC dyes, no talc......

Question
Is this helpful for excessive dryness under the eyes
I am having a very difficult time finding a product that will hydrate under my eyes. They don't look dry until I put on makeup and then everyone can see how scaly looking they are. They look like they need exfoiliating which I realize should not be done. I have been using 2 different eye creams from clinique but they do not work. Does anyone have any ideas of what will help.

OK, there's a few things you've mentioned in your question that sound all too familiar to me! You said your undereye area looks scaly...? And look like they need to be exfoliated? I'm thinking -and of course without seeing with my own two eyes could be VERY wrong - you may have milia underneath your eyes... Have you heard of these? They're not dangerous and will not affect your health, they're just terribly annoying, difficult to get rid of and look absolutely disgusting - like chicken skin! Anyway, look under your eyes and/or on lids for little tiny tiny hard white bumps under the skin. Kind of looks like a pimple but hurts to squeeze. (Note: Most of the pix I found by googling "Milia" looked nothing like the onesI had so for a long time I If you see them, again don't be alarmed. Call your dermatologist to see if he/she can help remove them, (be prepared to be patient!) Milia are mostly caused by using eye creams/moisturizers, etc that are too heavy (also creme eye shadows!!!) . These heavy creams/lotions prevent naturally shed skin cells from falling so they remain on the surface and ultimately congergrate into pores and form these awful looking bumps

A Sephora rep gave me a sample of the Peter Thomas Roth eye ($85) and I think you will prefer that to this. The PTR is very hydrating and creamy, and a much better consistency.

Question
why a jar not a tube
I've been told that it is always better to use eye cream in a tube since bacteria collects easily in a jar with so much area exposed to air and fingertips dipping. I would like to try this but am reluctant.

I agree with the previous answer......keep your hands clean and there is really no prob. But also with a cream such as this that is quite luxurious and thick a jar really is the most practical way to have this stored since a tube can get clogged and then lead to you getting more product than you need for an application. By having it in a jar you can control the amount you need, prolonging the life of that jar. And it really is a wonderful eye cream.

There is nothing wrong with a jar so long as you wash your hands before you go putting your finger it in said jar. The same also goes for touching your face and eye area, not really for bacteria purposes (I don't think), but for oil purposes.

I have never had a problem with jar face creams, masks, eye creams, etc, etc, etc..

That is also my main problem at age 30 and this cream has done the best job. It definitely lifts the eye area. Not a miracle but honestly the most results I'll see this side of an injection.

I would not recommend this on the eyelids, due to its thick consistency. Using it just under my eyes, it migrated into them, making them teary and bloodshot.
