You don't. Okay, it might say you can, and I did, and it immediately dried out my face, I wouldn't reccomend it. My face felt sticky and gross after I tried it. Even though I lather the soap with my hands and never apply it diirectly to my body, I still wouldn't want to put the same thing on my face. Don't get me wrong, if it ends up working for you- awesome. I use the Korres White Tea cleanser. It is a little more expensive, but is so gentle on your face, gets all the makeup off (even the small amount of eyemakeup I use) and lasts forever. They always say if there is one area of beauty products to invest in it is skincare ( :

Splash some water on your face, rub the bar between your wet hands till you form a lather which is pretty quick. Then massage your face with your lathered hands.

Usually I wash my hands very, very well. Then I wet my hands and face with cool water and use just my bare hands to work up a lather with the bar. But don't stick the bar directly into the water or it'll start getting soggy and useless. Keep the bar mostly dry and just moisten it with your wet hands, it's enough water. Using a gentle circular motion I start at my forehead and concentrate on my blemish prone zones. I've gotten it into my eyes as well and it doesn't burn as much as others have, on a scale of 1-10 I'd say it's a 3. After a full minute I rinse as usual and follow up with Clinique's Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion to clean up my skin and even up my skin tone. After that I moistureize with Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, it's wonderful and a little goes a long way! Hope this helps a bit!

For this, I start with washing my chest area and twirl it around in my hands to apply to the suds to my face and massage it all over my face. I wouldn't use a wash cloth or sponge because I don't think it gets to the areas as well. Hope this helps!

I use a Sephora scrublet to really rub this in,but I apply it directly to more oily areas like my nose. :)

I just lather it on my hands and apply to my face. I don't use a washcloth because it irritates my skin. Every other day to every third day, I use an exfoliating cleanser to get rid of any dry patches.

Im not done with mine yet but I have used about half of the bar in about 3-4 months so it lasts quite a while.

Almost a year! Seriously, the bar is a much better value. You just need to make sure you keep it clean and in it's box (it comes with a soap dish).

I received the soap on March 5th & began using that night. I do use it 2x's daily, and a few times in shower. (only handful or so in shower, so far). I make sure to only take out of container when using. Lid's on all other time. I don't keep it in shower. If you use it like me..I still have majority of the bar. A little goes a long way. It'll last you. It's March 29th now. I'd say I have another month and a half, easily.

Bar soap is a large size and soap dish keeps water out in the shower. Been one month so far and still looks fairly new. Will probably last 3 months.

I bought this in October, use it twice a day on my face and everyday when i shower. there is still a lot of the bar left, probably to last me for another 2 or 3 months. all it take is very little of the product to make it lather a lot and work.

In my opinion, this soap isn't enough by itself to treat moderate or severe acne. It is incredibly gentle, however, and will get your skin fresh and clean without creating the sort of irritation or over-dryness that can cause skin to over-produce oil. I use this soap as a basic, gentle cleanser and I feel like it allows my other acne treatments to do their job, since they are being applied to clean, calm skin. I think it's definitely worth incorporating into an entire acne treatment regimen, but it isn't a treatment by itself.

Absolutely! I think the bar works better than the foaming cleanser on my face. Give it a shot!

It worked for me as I had acne on my cheeks. I use it in the morning and before bed time eventually my acne cleared but occasionally get a pimple her or there from time to time.

I would recommend this for severe acne ONLY if you are using an acne treatment or cream as well. This would not be strong enough on it's own to clear severe acne. This has been my experience with this product, but of course it will be different for everyone. I use Philosophy Help Me after this product to treat my acne at night. It has worked for me. Yes. My skin is oily and I have had the regular clinique cleanser in the past and liked it - until I tried this and LOVED it. Keeps oil at bay for about 12 hours, whereas the regular cleanser only lasted 6 - 8 before I started having oil problems again.

Cliniques Acne Bar really helped my oily skin, and blackheads. I have used the liquid formula for oily skin from Clinique which helps my oily skin a lot but this bar is better and much longer. Great product at a great price.

Yes it does. I've always felt that my skin was always oily but once I started using this in the late summer of 09 my skin is hardly ever oily anymore. So it does have a mattifying effect after continued use, but it's not drying.

It barely clears soft milia (whiteheads), I doubt if it would be effective on black heads(hardened sebum)

It does help prevent blackheads but to get rid of existing ones you are gonna need a deep exfoliator or a trip to the dermatologist.

From my experience, clearing up acne is a process of creating healthier skin. The best treatments I have used (I've tried many) have taken longer to be fully effective, because they work at the root of the cause. I have found that using this product (with the others) has helped clear my skin in as little as a week. But my skin is fully cleared in a couple months. That's just my experience though.

There is no travel size, but get out your sharpest and widest knife. Cut an inch off and toss it in a plastic bag. Travel size made easy!

I have seen the little mini soap bars at Dillard's and Macy's. They sell them in sets of 3 mini bars. However, this soap already comes in its own plastic case like the regular one and you can take it with you easily without having to downsize the packaging.

I actually only use this for my back and chest, don't use it on my face at all but it works wonders for my back and chest. It is gentle as well or at least more so than the acne foaming face wash. I decided to go to a dermotologist for my acne on the face and he said to quit using it but I immediately started breaking out on my back. I just recently decided to start using it again as I work out regulary and sweat a lot too and I'm seeing improvements again. But I DO NOT like this for my face...
