No, I do not rinse my face afterwards but it will leave your face feeling very sticky. But make sure to apply a moisturizing and that takes care of it. I guess if your skin is sensative, then rinse.

It says in the directions that you rinse it off to neutralize it. I always rinse it off but I would bet there are people that leave it on w/o rinsing. Not sure what the outcome would be.

The directions say to rinse it off. I always leave it on longer than it says. I put it on my skin when I go into the bathroom and then rinse once I am in the shower, so it is a good 5 minutes or more.

-Gently apply to the face, neck, décolleté, and top of hands and leave on for approximately 60 seconds or up to 3 minutes.
-Rinse thoroughly with water to neutralize peel and pat dry.

Yes, it can help to fade acne marks, depending on the rest of your skin care regimen. Fading post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (ie, old acne scares) requires two main focuses: exfoliation and protection.

Using a product like the PTR unwrinkle peel pads will help to speed the skin cells' turn over, thus increasing how fast new skin comes to the surface. That will help them fade by natural renewal, BUT darkness (or pinkness) is worsened by unprotected sun exposure. Whenever you are using an 'anti-aging' or 'fading' system that includes acids, SPF is not only recommended, it's necessary. Primarily because these ingredients can make skin sun sensitive and exposure to UV causes the skin cells that are responsible for pigmentation (melanocytes) to over-react... and there is no fading dark marks when their color is continuously being renewed.

So, yes, use these to fight dark marks. But make SURE to use an spf every day and to reapply!

YES!! I have acne scaring and hyperpigmentation and this product has DRAMATICALLY reduced both. I used to have to pile the makeup on and use tons of concealer just to get my skin to look even and "normal". Ive been using this for about two weeks now and have actually been going out the house sans makeup!! Be patient and follow the directions and you will not be disappointed!

PTR says that they will fade acne scars over time, but I seriously doubt it. I have enlarged pores from sun damage and have been using them for several months and I don't really see a reduction in my pore size. If you have the money, get the Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Alpha-Beta Peel Pads. They are the best I've found (expensive, though) for fading scars and reducing wrinkles.

I have seen my old red acne scars lighten up with the peel pads. I have a couple of sun spots that have popped up in recent years (I'm 40) and they also seem to be fading. Excellent product for bringing back glowing skin and evening skintone, plus reducing fine lines.

absolutely you can use this in conjunction with your serum. i use it with my peter thomas roth serum. this is more of a wash, because you wipe your face with it, leave it for 30-90 seconds, and then rinse off.

Yes, you can use these with a serum. I use these at night (and sometimes in the morning), then apply my serum and moisturizer. Just be SURE to neutralize the pads after 3 minutes by splashing it off with water! Then when your skin dries, apply your serum. I think you will find that along with your Shiseido serum, your skin will be smoother and your pore size will be diminished.

i do..i use it all over my eye area THOUGH it says to avoid it. I dont have sensitive skin ..so it does not sting at all. To me it is a great product for your crows feet. But again if you wash you skin and turns just a bit red, do not use there.

I use the pads in the morning. I clean my face with a Pond's cleaning cloth, let my face dry then apply the Un_Wrinkle pad. I leave on for 5 minutes (gradually worked up to 5 mins), then rinse with water in sink or shower. No additional cleaning steps afterward because the un-wrinkle is an exfoliator, so you're left with clean fresh skin. I apply a serum then super sunblock spf 60 (Shiseido face, so light and non-oily) and then makeup.

Depends on your skin type. For me, I have extremely, severely, OILY skin. Bad genes I guess... I also have really clogged pores, blackheads everywhere, whiteheads and post-cystic acne scars. I can actually leave the solution on my face without rinsing it off and I have not had any problems. But my skin is not sensitive at all, so it doesn't bother me. However, if you have normal, normal-dry, dry, or sensitive skin, you should only leave it on for 1 to 2 minutes and work your way up to 3 minutes, and then rinse off. If you don't rinse, you risk having a sensitivity reaction like a sunburn or worse.
Now for those of use who have tough and oily skin and have left the product on, I have two theories about this. 1) I think the product neutralizes once it dries and has absorbed. So it's okay to not rinse it. or 2) You need to rinse it to wash away all the dissolved junk. Remember that enzymes are eating away all the cellular buildup, which contains the sebum and some of the clogs in your pores, so if you don't rinse it away there's a chance that the stuff could just block your pores again by being left to sit on your skin.
After coming up with my 2n'd theory, I decided that I am going to rinse it off from now on just like the directions say to. However, because of my skin type (SEVERELY OILY and NON-SENSITIVE), I can leave the product on for 5 - 10 minutes or longer.

I do not rinse and have seen no ill-effects. The peel appears to neutralize on it's own after it has thoroughly absorbed and dried. If your skin is not easily irritated, you don't need to rinse this product.

I'm in my twenties and starting to notice the = lines between my eyes and light wrinkles around my eyes and deeper ones on my forehead. I have dealt with severe acne in my early teens and think because of all the harsh chemicals I have used, they have premature aged my skin slightly. Would anyone recommend these over the retinol fusion p.m. for wrinkles?

Honestly, you should use both. This product will help keep you exfoliated and plumped, but the retinol works by stimulating collagen and will help keep wrinkles at bay and 'lessen' the ones you have. Sunscreen, retinol, AHA's and antioxidants are the keys that work together for aging.

i started to notice my skin damage at 25 from living in south florida. I would use these pads most defintely.I had oily skin then and this would have done two things...one clear up my skin and two stop the skin damage. I ;leave it on overnight when i have a blemish or two and they go away.

I actually use BOTH of these products! I use the peel pads first (don't forget to neutralize the pads after 3 minutes by splashing with water - you must do that!). After my skin dries, I apply the PTR serum, then my moisturizer. These pads are actually designed to be used in conjunction with the serum.

I use a different retinol product at night than PTR retinol fusion (I use Miracle Worker pads), but I have had no problems with irritation. The retinol works on a deeper skin level to re-build collagen, while the Un-Wrinkle pads have acids to smooth surface of skin by speeding up exfoliation. I think the two strategies complement each other to fight wrinkles in two ways. I would recommend starting off by adding the Un-Wrinkle Pads every other am at the shortest amount of time (30-60 seconds) to be sure you don't get any irritation or flaking. Eventually, you could use the Un-Wrinkle Pads in the am and the PTR Retinol Fusion in the pm.

This will absolutely help with redness, hyperpigmentation, scars, or any discoloration. This genious product instantly refines skin and evenly tones skin. Ive battled acne and have the discolorations and scars to prove it... However, PTR pads are a staple i would never go without. Im still pretty new to them but so far they have just made my skin so much more even, brighter, balanced, and soft. I absolutely love them. You cannot go wrong here!

Your retin a was probably a bit too high concentrate (perhaps you should try .25... as for use with hydroquinine, yes you can and it would help things along better if you did. I would continue retin a every other day, light application to prevent wrinkles and help other products penetrate better. Use a sunscreen cause that sun in Hawaii is killer!

Obviously, you don't have sensitive skin if you used Retin A. These could probably be used with your fading product, but in my experience they are not as effective as Retin A. I would try the Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Alpha Beta Peel Pads, as they are stronger than the PTR. I have used both and got the best results with the Gross pads - I just can't afford them.

I've used these pads at the same time as Hydroquinone and it didn't bother me, but my skin isn't very sensitive. I'm not sure of the percentage hydroquinone, but it is from a dermatologist's office. I get sunspots under just one eye and only on occasion, so I don't use hydroquinone every day, just once or twice per year when I see the spots appear.

I'm not a doctor, however, I do have over 12 years of Health and Beauty Aids Retail experience. I don't think there is any over the counter product that will make much of a dent for reversing sun damaged skin. Check with your dermatologist about products to help reduce the appearance of scars. It depends on what type of scar, its age, location...etc. Perhaps he, or she can perform a procedure for the sun damage. I would get a second opinion on it though. Chemical peels are expensive, painful and like root canals...no guarantees.

I have used ALL of them and I've found that the highest percentage is the Dr. Dennis Gross Extra-Strength Alpha-Beta Peel Pads. They work better than the Peter Thomas Roth ones - I also like Gross' 2nd step that neutralizes without having to wash it off like the PTR ones. The Gross pads are amazing, but they are expensive! The PTR is the next best thing, but not nearly as good as Dr. Gross'.
