I don't find this very sticky at all. Great for having a pop of color and hydrating the lips.

I find this gloss only sticky when initially applied. Once it blends with the temperature of your lips, I find that it smoothens out. I don't usually apply it in front the mirror either, but I know that the color hint is so subtle (but effective) that it won't really smear and blend well :) I think it needs to be a little sticky in order to stay on well.

I also definitely second the vaseline comparison!

I've used this gloss since 2005 and it's the best will never change (but I still try new things), not to much, not to little and yes what ever color you do choice will appear on your lips only thing it does cost a pretty penny

I don't find this gloss to be sticky at all. I've tried many, many brands and this one seems to be the least sticky of all of them. Plus, the gloss really does add a little extra color to your lips, unlike many glosses that claim to do that and just look clear once you apply it.

I absolutely LOVE Black Honey. It's the first color I tried. But, now that I love it so much, I am more inclined to try out others too. Typically, I wear pinks and peachy tones, as I'm light-medium skin tone. Black Honey is deeper than my usual and it's great.

A salesperson suggested Currant when the store was out of my trusted Raspberry. And I love it so much, I have never gone back to Raspberry--the Currant is perfect on me. It's a darker pink then the raspberry and I find it's less bright and therefore more versatile. I can wear it all year long and from work to evenings out.

The Black Honey shade looks different on everyone. That's really one you just have to try out. I've never met a person who didn't like the Black Honey shade. Give it a try!

Black honey is like a sheer dark berry color. I have fair skin, but it's not too dark because its sheer color. Try it, its def a color anyone can pull off.

My coloring is the same as yours and I'd highly recommend raspberry.

i'd say the black honey would be too dark. you should check out the buxom lips be Bare Escentuals. They have many great shear shades that are perfect for fair skin tones and they are wonderful, long-lasting glosses with benefits.

Apricot is a pretty natural color, and its not too glossy.

I have fair skin with a hint of olive/yellow undertones with brown hair and brown eyes... I love the Black Honey color even though I also normally like natural colored glosses. It is a fun color, which is different than every thing else I have, and yet still looks like a more natural color. Think your lip color, with a sheer berry color. You can also add more or less of the gloss to customize the shade.

There are about 14 different shades of this product ranging from clear to Black Honey. I would think the Root Beer shade could work for you as it is in the same shade as your coloring. Can you go to a store to test out the samples?

Currant would most likely be your best option!

I would recommend the Black Honey - it looks great on me (very light skin, brown hair, brown eyes) as well as my medium-skinned roommate with black hair and brown eyes.

I'm allergic to Red Dye #40 as well and haven't had any problems with Clinique. In general only low-end makeup has Red Dye #40 in it, at least in my experience.

I have similar coloring to you--very fair with pink undertones, plenty of freckles, and green eyes (brown hair). I personally love the shade "Currant" (number 9). It looks dark in the tube but goes on a nice sheer deep pink with a little hint of berry color. My lip color but better. Also makes my teeth look whiter! Raspberry is also a great color on me--a much brighter pink. Very youthful and summery. All in all, you really can't go wrong with any of the shades--they all provide a hint of color and subtle sheen, but nothing overwhelming.

The black honey gloss from Clinique works on all skin tones. I have fair skin, freckles, and blonde hair and it looks great on me!

Try the black honey, it goes on dark, so blend well and it will look nice on pale pinkish skintones.

I think apricot or grapefruit would be good for you!

Black honey looks good on everyone. I have red hair, and fair skin, with naturally pink lips that really don't need much, but I love makeup so I wear a lot of lipstick. This stuff looks good by itself, or layered over other colors or lipliner. Try it out :)

Raspberry would probably be great for you. I have similar coloring, and I love the Raspberry. It's not too bright; it gives a really natural look on most people. I also like the Black Honey. It looks really dark in the tube, but once you get it on it's not THAT dark. I'm very fair-skinned, especially in the winter but I can still wear that color and not look washed out.

None of the Superbalms are flavored. I love them though, because they add that nice hint of color without being too overdone, and they aren't sticky like a lot of lip glosses are.

My coloring is very similar to yours (light skin, blue-ish eyes, brunette hair) and I love this in Apricot. It's very similar to a coral color (I love coral shades too) and it's great for everyday wear. The texture is great too and the color payoff is surprisingly good-- don't even look at the color on the computer, in person it is WAY different (definitely not as sheer OR light pink). It's really pretty, I think it would look great on you!

I think the Raspberry one would look best on you. It is a nice color pink. Not to intense like it looks in the photo. You also have to remember that it is a sheer color so they all come out lighter than they appear. They have no flavor.

not sure about the mango giner one. I like the black honey. Looks really dark but goes on a little lighter. It is my go to.
