I apply this after washing my face, but before putting any makeup on. It's good for all areas of the face.

If your mother inlaw has sensitive skin, I would stay away from Lancome all together, however Clinique is great for sensitive skin.

It's very possbile that the one you are using is expired... I've never heard of anything like that. However... Lancome's formulas that contain a SPF tend be to a little oily, maybe you would prefer the original Renergie (Although it would be smart to wear a seperate skin protector, since it doesnt contain any sun protection)
Or- maybe you're having a mild allergic reaction and your skin is rejecting the formula. Either way, it doesnt sound like this cream is for you

This is a moisturizer, and seeing as it contains sunscreen, I recommend you use a night cream for pm instead. Lancome makes an excellent night cream.

I think this is more of an am moisturizer seeing as it contains sunscreen, and it can be used alone or under makeup. You might want to use an night cream for pm.

I'm 26 and I used it, but felt that it was too heavy and greasy for my skin, causing it to break out a bit. I think this cream will be more appropriate for my skin when I'm bordering my 40's.

I am 41 with wrinkles setting in good now. Frown lines just starting to really appear now. Wrinkles in between brows, forehead. I think this product claims to lift. Another sign I have just started to see this past year, sagging jowls around the jaw line. THAT is why I was interested in using this product ... I would say the product smooths more than lifts.

This product contains an SPF, so you want to use it in the morning after washing, and before sun exposure. You'll only need enough to cover (not drown) your whole face.

This actually IS a moisturizer. It moisturizes and helps with the effects of aging. This is Lancome's latest version of the Renergie Line, and it's very popular. It's everything you need in one step :)

And here's a tip: if you put on your moisturizer (any moisturizer) and THEN do your dishes, the steam will help your skin absorb the cream, so you get more of a full affect!
