medium because if you spray more than 3 squirts, you will smell like a walking perfume bottle, i learned from an experience. but if you use one or 2 squirts, your good to go.

If you spray too much on, at first it can be very overpowering. But otherwise, the fragrance settles nicely and is very soft and girly.

Very light, I spritz it on it about 4 pulse points, and add the lotion. It is not at all overpowering like most perfumes. Love it.

This is sort of a 'medium' perfume. You don't want to apply too much, but if you apply too little, it won't last for long.

Question
DId I get the wrong bottle? Same or different scent?
Hi - I was just in today and absolutely loved Daisy ....in the clear bottle and white flowers. But, an older lady, obviously new to the fragrances, when asked told me to get the bottle and ensured me it was the right scent....when I got home and opened the bottle up...it was a silver bottle with gold flowers. I'm so upset...to me it smells more musky than what I had smelled in the store. Am I crazy? Is the silver bottle the same scent as the clear with white flowers? Please help. THanks. Jenn

That'd be a more concentrated version I believe. (: But Sephora's return policy is amazing. Head back to the store and exchange it,explaining your situation. (:

That sounds like the EDP or "intense" versions which do smell slightly different than the EDT (clear bottle with gold).

Yikes! You accidentally bought "Eau de Parfum," which does, in fact, have musk in it. Try taking it back to the store. You aren't crazy, I promise

It's the same fragrance as Daisy in its normal clear bottle. Marc Jacobs released a limited edition Daisy bottle that is silver with gold flowers, which is what you got. Keep the bottle once you're finished your perfume, since it's a collectible :)

Just FYI, Marc Jacobs frequently does this with the Daisy bottles. This year the LE bottle has blue flowers, but MJ has also released Daisy bottles with green flowers, and of course the silver bottle.

the only other bottle i've seen sell in daisy is the Eau de parfum...it comes in a black bottle and is supposed to be stronger and longer lasting than the clear bottle eau de toillette in the clear bottle. i believe the one she sold you is slightly more expensive and as a higher concentration of oil; thus maybe giving the musky scent.

Hi Jenn: I didn't know there were two different bottle types/scents. If the people at Sephora picked it out for you and it is not what you wanted, I would bring it back. When I got mine, I saw where it was ahead of time and the sales person went right over to the display to get it for me. Good luck!

Try Bliss Eau De Toilette and Banana Republic's Wildbloom. I receive samples on a regular basis and I'm very picky about my fragrances. Of all the new fragrances I have sampled over the past 2 years (and there have been tons!) these are the only 3 that have spoken to me. (MJ Daisy, Bliss and Wildbloom)

I really only enjoy Daisy but I was recently at a small shop in Nantucket and happen to come across Tocca's perfume line. Its amazing! Its about $10 cheaper than Daisy and the scent lasts alot longer. "Stella" and "Florence" are the closest scents resembling Daisy and they smelled so beautiful. That would be my best advice :)

I think it depends on what you want. If like the light floral scent but can do without that musky vanilla part, Twirl by Kate Spade may be a good alternative - it has the same fruity top notes but the base notes of amber and luminous musk are very, very subtle, so it still feel fresh and light. I also liked DKNY's Be Delicious Fresh Blossom - a very fruity scent, and it lasts a long time. I spritzed one spritz on my arm at about 5:45, and it's 9:45 and it still smells quite strongly on my pulse point. Twirl doesn't last that long.

Daisy has a lot of size option, however there are similar perfumes in the Marc Jacobs perfume collection. For example the original daisy is called "Daisy Eau De Toilette." Then there is a similar bottle that is black and gold called "Daisy Eau De Parfum" which is a different scent then the original. There is also "Daisy Eau So Fresh" which is another scent and different style packaging. Then there are a few different Lola perfumes and one version of Dot.

There are two Daisy fragrances. Daisy (the original) has white flowers. The other Daisy is "Eau So Fresh" and has white, yellow and pink flowers. I like both. Daisy is a little more floral with hints of strawberry. Eau So Fresh is a little more fruity. Both are light and feminine.

Question
Fruity or floral?
When I smelled this in a store, the strawberry notes overwhelmed me and I disliked this perfume. However, when I smelled this in a magazine, it was more of a pleasant floral. Which notes would you say dominate this perfume? Would you consider it a fruity or a floral fragrance?

I'm calling it floral. To me fruity denotes a certain sweet quality that this doesn't have. If anything, perhaps the fruit offsets the floral just enough that it takes the edge off the floral.

Question
For those of you who smelled this in a magazine first and then got it, did it smell as good in person?
Ok, well I have a thing where I smell perfumes in magazines and I love the smell but I go to try it in person and it smells nothing like the sample/insert did, often in a bad way. So, for those of you who smelled this in a magazine first and liked it, did it live up to your expectations in person? I sorta don't want to go to the mall this time of year just to smell a perfume so I was thinking of just buying it on here instead if it's good.

I recently purchased this fragrance after smelling it in a magazine. I kept the fragrance card for a few weeks so I could make up my mind about ordering this online. Like you, I had no time to go to the mall. I ordered it through Sephora and was extremely satisfied. The fragrance smelled just like the card, maybe better. This is the second time I have purchased fragrance this way and I haven't been disappointed yet.

Only to the extent they are both floral. But Pleasures is unbearably sweet, and almost fruity. Daisy is just wonderful, my favorite, like a stroll through a garden....oh so intoxicating but very gentle. My husband hates perfumes, finds them too strong, and he said "Mmm", what's that one? The only Pleasures I like is Pleasures Delight, it's very unusual, calming and relaxing like a nicely scented candle.
