I have VERY oily skin, and I use this almost daily on my skin, and have not broken out any worse than the norm...and TRUST ME, a lot of products that say oil-free have still made me break out...so this is DEF. a WINNER!

While this item does give a natural glow to the skin which some oily skins may not enjoy, it is oil free, waterproof and stays in place well throughout the day while providing good coverage.
If you prefer a matte finish, try their Powder FX Mineral Powder Foundation or set the Skin Tint FX with their Matte FX Oil Absorbing Powder.

I am lucky to have only had a few blemishes in my entire life. This product caused me to develop a few small pimples later in the day and throughout the following night. I stopped using it immediately. If you have acne prone skin, I would avoid this product.

Question
can you explain the letters in front of the color choices for the tinted moisterizer Cover FX?
The colors for Skin Tint FX Moisterizer are listed as light and deep but what do the letters in front of each mean? C,E and M. I would take the deep color but I don't know which one to buy until I know what those mean. Thanks

Based on my trial and error with this product I can only say that the "C" Tint is for fair (lighter) skin, "E" tint is for olive tone skin (hint of green/yellow color in skin). The M is for those with medium to darker tones. As for LIGHT ad DEEP, think of it as a hair color: If you are a blond usually there are variations, so for fairer skin you would use C Light for very light skin, and Deep if you want a slightly richer deeper look on your fair skin (like a bronzed look). Same goes for the E and M tones. But I always recommend to try both Light and Deep at the store (preferably one on each cheek). This way you know which look you like best. In my case I sampled the E Light for my olive complexion, and although it looked great, I preferred the E Deep. Hopefully this answer's your question.

E light is darker than C light, but lighter than M light. So from darkest to lightest: M, E, C.

Question
What color os for me?
I got the skintint fx moisturizing treatment and tint in shade E light. I really like it, I have olive skin, kind of tan, and this shade I think worked for me but I was wondering which shade would be one lighter for my skin tone? The sephora in San Luis obispo does not carry this brand, so I did not ask them. thanks!

Went through a couple of these before I found the right one. My mother purchased the first one which was the C Deep - too dark. Then someone sent me this product in for light skin - too light though. Ultimately I found the one for olive complexion and that was just right. However if you are trying to blend and go a shade lighter than the olive, the one to buy is the C Light, but with your olive complexion the best you can do is blend the two, b/c the C light is too light for our complexions. Hope this helps.

Question
Difference between C Light and E Light tones
Hi, I have the E Light version of this product. I like everything about it, except that the color almost seems a little bit too dark. How does the C Light color compare? Can I get a sample of the C Light? Thanks for your help. Gayle

Tinted moisturizers tend to be darker than a regular foundation. I'm fair to medium and the lightest color was plenty dark for me. Hope this helps.

In my opinion, "M" seems to be the darkest, then "E," and then "C" would be the lightest.

Below is a description of each shade class:

Class C – primarily pink undertones
Class E – pink & yellow undertones
Class M – yellow & olive undertones

If you have no pink tones, then try M Light. If you have a balance of yellow & pink tones, try E light.

CoverFX also has included a helpful “Foundation Shade Finder” on the brand page that gives a more detailed description of each shade, paired with pictures to help determine which will best match you. Please copy and paste the URL below for more information:

Hope that helps!
