The coconut scent is VERY prominent - my favorite in the line of scents. It reminds me of suntan oils on a tropical beach.

Yes it smells like "real" coconut not the fake synthetic smell that most are used to.

To me it smells like sunblock/tanning lotion. Not bad, not like a bunch of chemicals or anything, but not like sticking your nose into a fresh coconut either.

I've only used this product on my hands but I would say probably yes. It's quite rich and creamy and it does have a shine. Since your face is more sensitive I would guess so. But, this is only my guess. Hope that helps.

I would not apply it to my face in the summer or Spring maybe in the winter when it is really dry out.

This isn't made for your face, I think it would be far to heavy.

I wouldn't really suggest using this on your face. Any scented lotions are more for the body than your face. It wont hurt you so if it's a last resort it'll be fine, but I wouldn't use this on your face on a regular basis

I don't have an answer if it is safe for nut allergies. But a lot of products do have nuts or traces of nuts in them. Because the facilities they use sometimes will distribute products that use nuts. So via cross containimination the nut oils seeps into other products. In beauty products all types of nuts are used constantly. Macadamian Nut oil is very emollient and great for the skin and hair. I use that oil by it's self but some companies will add these oils into their products. I would go straight to Lavanila's website for that type of question so their won't be any 3rd party mistakes.

It does nut say nut free on the packaging I would not take the chance. Also they make a coconut type of butter so that alone would scare me away if I had a serve nut allergy.

Just as a basic guide, I would steer clear of coconut products for nut allergies. Try a fruit based scent instead! But always check the ingredients, because a lot of lotions include nuts products anyway.

Nut allergies can be very serious, so I would recomment that you speak directly to a Sephora representative or contact the company before giving this to a person with nut allergies. A product doesn't necessarily have to contain nuts to cause an allergic reaction - it could happen if it is processed on equipment or in facility that processes nuts.

I like the lavender/vanilla smell. It has a cleaner smell than the others and isn't super perfumie. I'm fairly sensitive to smells and this doesn't bother me.

The scent is very mild in the Pure Vanilla variety. It goes away after applied, and has not been irritating to my nose.

None of the scents is really strong or lasts really long--I think the Lavender Vanilla and plain vanilla are the most subtle. The Coconut Vanilla is beachy and the Grapefruit Vanilla is energizing. (My favorite is the Lavender so I might be biased :)

This line now offers products for babies that do not have the added fragrance.

I would choose the vanilla grapefruit scented body butter as the other scents are a little more rich.

The grapefruit is the only one I tried - the best way to describe it is VERY musky - I definitely wouldn't wear it for an everyday lotion. The scent does fade after about an hour, but it's still pretty strong. I'd be interested in trying the other scents, because the lotion itself is really moisturizing and nice!

I'm a big fan of the Lavender Vanilla. One way to try all the scents is to get the mini-roller set of perfumes. (They are great for travel, too). The Coconut Vanilla reminds me of the beach, the Grapefruit Vanilla I find the most energizing, the Lavender Vanilla is relaxing and what I use on a daily basis, and the plain Vanilla is a nice sweet scent. For even more fun you can mix them!
