i don't know what everyone else is talking about, mind sheds just as much as any other brush, which drives me nuts. I still haven't found a good shed proof brush. actually i'm not sure that it sheds, so much as the bristles break and i get little bristle pieces to pick off my makeup. i don't use a strong cleanser either, and i only clean it occasionally because i don't want to wear them out even more

I clean it with MAC brush cleaner, very good n clean perfectly.

Sephora brush cleaner or a mild shampoo like baby shampoo. Make sure you hang up it with the bristles down or lay it on its side until dry.

The way I clean this brush is: I take two sheets of paper towel and I pour a brush cleanser solution on it. Depending on how DIRTY the brush is, just eyeball it. Then in a winshield wiper motion, I swipe the brush back and forth into the solution. I also make circular motions with the brush to really get all the color out, as well as making sure it's disinfected. Hope this helps.

I washed it right after I got it and it is a bit hard just a gentle shapoo and make sure to get all the soap out and place it bristles down a let out to dry don't play with it while it's drying!!!!!!!!

Check out Panacea81 on Youtube as she has a tutorial on how to clean brushes. They HAVE to be laid flat on a towel with the bristle part extending off the towel for instance.

Use professional strength isopropyl alcohol ( 90% or higher) and spray the brush. Wipe it down and let it dry.

YES! I LOVE this brush! If you don't have this already then go out and buy one or two of them. I was hesitant to spend the buck on it but I went out the next day and bought the matching powder pouf brush!. I now have one kabuki brush, three powder pouf brushes, and the flatbuki. I will probably buy another kabuki too since it seems a little fuller than the powder brush. However, I would not recommend the Too Faced 5 piece brush set. I am returning that one.

I found this brush to be very reasonable in price and much better than some I paid much more for, it is really thick and plush so dusts powders or blends liquid bases without flatening or being ineffective. Best of all, it doesn't shed so you wont' spend the rest of the evening picking stray brush hairs off your face in summer (a pet peeve of mine with many brushes!) Its seriously the last Kabuki you will ever need to buy

i admit, there are brushes that are really expensive but it really doesn't do the job. so i invested on this brush, I've done a little research before i bought this brush, yup its really worth it.. make sure you wash them every week with brush cleanser or baby shampoo.. proper storing and cleaning will make your brushes last longer.

I'm on a very limited budget so I have to make my money count. I compared all of the brushes and decided this was the softest and the best value for my money. A girl that I work with, has a $100 brush that she ordered from Japan. I could not tell the difference in quality. And hers was not retractable.

I use my BE with the kabuki brush and I think it works very well.

I think this brush would be a good solution to your problem. You can barely even feel the bristles on your face, that's how soft it is. You should give it a try!

Yes, this brush is really full and will give the coverage you are looking for. Sometimes I don't retract the brush all the way and use it like that because it makes the bristles a little more dense when I need for coverage in certain areas. Works great!

I personally wouldn't use a kabuki brush to apply my loose/pressed powder. It just doesn't give that great coverage. If you need better/full coverage, go for a stippling brush or a poweder brush designated to get into tight areas on the face. Hope this helps.

honestly, this brush is NOT good for using with bare minerals...I bought this brush because I wanted synthetic bristles and loved the soft feel...I have to use way more product to get the same coverage, and it seems that this brush wastes product because it will remove powder from your face as you try to apply more. May work better with a pressed powder, but not bare minerals...will just waste your powder! The best brush I have found for bare minerals is a sephora flat blush/bronzer buff brush...feels so soft and gives great coverage and absolutely doesn't waste any product, but is not synthetic bristles...but feels just as soft as this brush!!! Try it! (it's $38 bucks though!)

I use Bare Escentuals and I don't like that this brush picks up the powder in a big clump, even if you tap it off. The natural bristles I got worked better, but I needed this for travel.

I would probably use a different brush for powder application. But that's just me. I really only use kabuki's to blend or apply MAC's skinfinish natural mineralize powder. Kabuki's, for me, just don't cover that well as other brushes do for powders. Hope this helps

It would work great with MAC loose powder; it applies pressed and loose powder really well -- and MAC powder, of course, is great.

this brush is great for ANY kind of powder. Just falls apart easily.

I'd say your best bet with this brush would be a brush cleansing spray, either the Sephora brand (stocked by the tools/brushes) or another of the cosmetic brands they carry. With less dense brushes or those without metal compartments, I'd recommend gentle baby shampoo...but I've had great results cleaning mine with the Sephora brand antibacterial brush cleaning spritz!

Using soap and water will be fine. If you can, dry upside-down overnight.

I find brush cleaners don't do as thorough a job so don't waste money on them. Use a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner instead--a no name one will do a fine job.

Well I was thinking that to but right when I touched the sephora brush it shedded now I have had the too faced for about 3 hrs and it has shed nder 10 times but mostly before I washed it (only one since). But I think the sephora will shed many more times I wasn't even rough handling it when it sheded the too faced does not shed on the face which is most important to me.

Go for the blush-bronzer...I use this brush for my bronzer or my translucent powder, and it's wonderful for all-over, but I think you'll get better results if you're going for stand-out color on your cheeks. It gives a really even look, but it might make your blush look dull because it'll be even with your bronzer.

get the too faced brush

I'd take this one. I have a TON of different bronze/blush brushes and this is now my favorite.

You will love the Too Faced Kabuki. I use it for bronzer, powder foundation and loose powder. The pink case is fun too!

This product can be used for both powder and bronzer. When I use it for a powder, I fluff the brush so that it collects for powder. When I use it for bronzer, I don't fluff the brush and kind of dab it into the bronzer; this collects lesser product. This works for me, hope it works for you!

I would definately recommend it for blush or bronzers! If you don't like it, you can return it.

You might want to skip this one, and try the Too Faced Flatbuki instead. This would apply too much bronzer.

I have this brush and I think it's great for products that are not of loose powder only because the bristles are tight. i say it works great with my blush. love it so much!

I've used this brush with my YSL bronzer and my Guerlain Terracotta blush (highly pigmented). If you tap off any excess powder before applying, this brush should work great. I also lightly apply my powders and layer on more if needed. For a compact travel brush, this hold a lot of product.
