What it is:A dry cleanser that revives, refreshes, and recharges hair and scalp without water. What it does:Ojon(R) Rub-Out(TM) Dry Cleanser instantly "erases" impurities, toxins, excess oil, and product build-up. It increases hair volume at the root while treating the hair and scalp. Ideal between washings, as a hair pick-me-up, when you're in a rush, or when you overuse a styling product. The Dry Cleanser leaves hair cleansed, light, luminous, and healthy -looking.What else you need to know:Fortified with wildcrafted Ojon(R) oil, an ancient native secret to naturally beautiful hair from Central America's Tawira tribe, known as "the people of beautiful hair.(TM)" Supported by clinical studies to instantly hydrate, strengthen, and restore dry or damaged hair, Rub-Out(TM) Dry Cleanser is appropriate for all hair types and is eco-friendly.Due to the unique and rich concentration of Amazonian White Clay and Soap Bark Extract in our breakthrough dry cleansing product Rub Out, it is important to shake the product vigorously prior to use. Yes, it is an aerosol type can. It won't spill if that is what you are concerned about. But the spray is not a "wet" spray like hair spray, it is like a powder spray like my asthma inhaler. I hope you can understand what I mean by that. It is not a typical "aerosol" spray. You may want to contact the mfg. for more info if you are concerned about taking the product into other countries and its chemical properties, because that I cannot advise you about. I hope I helped you out with my answer. :)

This is an aerosol. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE- you cannot speed up the shipping process because this product cannot travel by air. I made the mistake of paying for 2 day shipping and it was sent to me by UPS Ground. Luckily after speaking to someone at Sephora I was reimbursed for the difference in shipping price.

Yes it is aerosol and it is a very sensitive can. I don't recommend for travelling as the air pressure on the plane will make the gas leak and make it not usable. I would recommend the dry powder from Oscar Biondi for travelling.

I've been using the same bottle for the past few months and while I've not counted how many times I've used it, I suggest that a little goes a long way and if you use it when you need it, maybe once a week, you'll be more than satisfied.

hmm. i think it depends how much you use. some people use the stuff very sparingly, others use a heavy hand. it also depends if you use it on the underside of your hair (flip your head over to spray). just spraying on top, basically, you could get about a dozen uses out of it. maybe up to 15 uses.i think. if you use it underneath too, then probably more like 8 uses. beware the scent though. It completely covers any other scent you may use.

I wish I could be of more help, but I'm still using my first bottle. So far, I have used it at least 10 times, so I'm pretty satisfied. I really like this product. I hope that helped you out. When I finish the bottle, I'll be able to give you a better idea of how many uses I got out of it. I use it sparingly and still get a good result, by the way.

Hmm that's kinda hard to say. I tend to be a little heavy handed with products. I have medium length brown hair (about 3 inches past my shoulders) and I probably used this product twice a week and would guess it lasted about 3 months? Hope that's some help. BTW I would suggest using T3 over Ojon's dry cleanser.

depends on the length of your hair. I have fairly long hair and I seem to get about 5-6 uses. It is pretty costly to use for long hair but if you don't use everyday it's nice to keep on hand. Hope this helps.

You'll get a good number of uses if you don't abuse it, but not nearly as many as a powder. If you used it twice a week, I'd say it'd last for about 3 months. It's really going to depend on your hair/scalp.

Depends on how much you use...but usually im good for about a month and a half...

It depends on if you use it everyday, if you use it ALL over your hair, or just on the roots like I do.

It is pretty long lasting as long as the nozzel doesnt clog.

Surprisingly a lot. I use it about 3 times a week and it last a few months. You don't need much as the RUBBING is what absorbs all the oil.

I have only used it twice but I assume plenty of uses. I think a little goes a long way so it should last me a long time, especially because I don't use it on a daily basis.

I think it might. It is alcohol-based, and alcohol is drying. I guess it's a trade-off... washing & blow drying hair will also dry it out. I'm sure this product would be ok for you to use occasionally, however. These dry shampoos are meant for when you're in a pinch and can't get to a shower or don't have time to shower.

Question
leaves residue?
I have light blonde hair, and when I use this product I can actually see it on my hair! It leaves a white residue and makes my hair look dull. I'm sure people with dark hair would see this even more? I must be doing something wrong. Any advice?

I have very dark hair (most would describe as 'black') and it does that to me sometimes too...I just have to rub it in more and sometimes I go over it with a brush. Also, make sure you're not using too much and follow the directions on the bottle (as far as holding it away from your hair). Hope that helps :)

i see it on my dark hair sometimes too - it's just if it gets too close to your hair i think - i just wait until it dries a bit, like about a minute, then rub it into my scalp - the powdery stuff i think is what actually pulls the oil out of your hair so if you try to rub it in while still kinda wet it wont have the same effect.

Try holding the can farther away from your hair. You may be spraying it too close and that is what is causing the build up. Hope this helps!

I have returned 3 cans of this product to Sephora and they are aware of the issue. They will exchange the product for you for a new can. Ojon is also aware of the issue although I am unsure of what they are doing about since the product itself is amazing!

Question
Any unclogging advice?
I've purchased this product twice and use it about 1 to 2 times per week. Around the 4th or 5th use, I cannot get it to spray! I've removed the nozzle, soaked and ran it under hot water and still no change. It seems it's the actual tube that is clogged. I even used a needle to break down some of the clog in the the tube (I know, not a good idea and I don't want to have to do that again). That helped a teeny bit, but not much.
Has any one had any luck unclogging this thing or keeping it from getting clogged in the first place? I love the product but it's starting to seem like a waste of money if I can only get so few uses out of it before the can goes ka-put.

Once it's clogged it's done. The best way is to prevent it. I bought small can and after 2-3 sprays it clogged forever. I really like the product but I didn't want to waste money on it. After taking advice about shaking to my heart now I shake the can a for a 30 seconds or so, then spray one section at the time, and shake well between those sections. basically I shake it all the time if I'm not spraying. When I'm done I do little shake again and it works! No clog at all and can is almost done.

Due to the unique and rich concentration of Amazonian White Clay and Soap Bark Extract in our breakthrough dry cleansing product Rub Out, it is important to shake the product vigorously prior to use.

IMPORTANT: It can take up to 1 full minute of shaking the product to ensure the solid & liquid contents of the can have thoroughly mixed together. Not shaking the can enough could result in clogging.

I have had the same problem! Sadly, I just gave up and bought another product from Sephora. It's T3's colored dry shampoo. I LOVE IT! I really did like this product too until it became clogged. So far with the T3 shampoo, no clogging! Sorry for not answering your question directly, but I've tried everything to unclog it cause I loved the product and smell so much. I don't think there is anything you can do but try a different product =/

Just divide your hair into sections and spray near the scalp. Then wait till it's dry & brush through your hair. Your hair will remain straight and it will feel and smell clean & fresh. The product is an orangey yellow color.....but it doesn't show up on your hair.........it blends into the hair somehow.

It shouldn't affect the straightness. I've got naturally curly hair that I [appliance] straighten and it doesn't make it curl up. I hold it back several inches from my head when I spray it and it doesn't add any moisture or make my hair wet feeling or anything when I use it...

Question
Dry Shampoo Users: Which Do You Like Best?
I've tried the travel-size versions of Oscar Blandi (nice scent but can be messy to use) and Ojan (worked but can constantly clogs up).

Before I purchase a full-size dry shampoo, I'd like your opinions.

Which dry shampoos have you tried? What were their pros and cons? Which one would you purchase again?

Thanks for your input!

I have enjoyed Ojon and Tigi so far. I've not yet experienced clogs with either. While I love the incense like smell of Ojon, I like that the Tigi is softer smelling, contains 2 oz. more and is less expensive. I get more volume & stiffness from the Ojon.
