I don't like getting my finger dirty so i bought a retractable lip brush from Sephora. You could use your finger too.

Your finger works fine, though I think that a brush would give a really polished look.

I use a lip brush when I want fuller coverage and my finger when I don't. Texture is so creamy, it glides on either way.

It depends on what you are using it for. If you want the more glossy look - use the brush. If you want a nice subtle matte look, use your fingers.

Question
laura mercier lip color?
I received a sample of "Mulberry Lip stain" with my last purchase.
It Is the perfect red! I am not great with pots and wondered if it came in a "bullet".

I haven't seen it this way. Only the pot you put on with your finger or possibly a little brush. Although I don't care for this application generally, using your finger seems to PRESS it into your lips though whereas a brush makes it sit on top. Hope that makes sense.

I know what you mean, it can be a pain to aply. But truthfully, you get better coverage and I think it may last longer when applied with a lip brush. Sephora make a great rectractable one. The color is so great.....it's worth it! So my answer is "no" I do not think it comes in lipstick form.

It only comes in a big pot at my Sephoras. It *is* messy (on the fingers) to apply, but I don't find that it is difficult to get it in place on my lips, as it is not a "slippery" or greasy product. One just needs to take their time applying, and then carefully wash or wipe their finger!

I have Mulberry, and the colour is absolutely gorgeous on -- very natural, yet intense.

No it doesn't Kind of weird, right? Because it's not really a lip stain, per se.... You have to apply w/ a brush (preferably a retractable one) or your fingers.

I'm unsure of the exact name, but Laura Mercier has a newer product that I sampled and loved. Its in bullet form and more of a sheer gloss with a lot of shine and good color. I think it's $22. Look on Sephora website for the exact product.

it does not come in a "bullet".

for the person who answered previously-->

TIP
when used correctly, this is a perfect lip stain. you dab a bit onto your pinky until there is enough to make a fingerprint. press into your lips, starting at the center. add more product to pinky as needed. apply one coat for light color & more coats for dramatic color. finish w/ lip liner. NEVER use a lip brush & NEVER rub across your lips like you would with a lip balm.

I don't think these stains come in a bullet. Your best bet is to go to a store, either Sephora or a dept store, that carries the complete Laura Mercier line. I use several of her other products but hated this so-called lip "stain".

Question
Does the Mocha have a hint of pink ?
Hi!
A-lot of times I can wear sheer browns, but I don't know if that's because of my skin tone -fair/light, blue eyes...
I'm just wondering if anyone with my skin tone has tried the Mocha, and if there is a pink undertone~

Thank you!
warmly,
Debbee

It sounds like I have similar coloring. Fair & freckles with blue eyes and auburn hair. I love this color. It is more of a coppery brown as opposed to a pink tone.

I tried the mocha color on in the store. It has a slight pink undertone, but I wouldn't recommend for people with such light skin. Maybe if you're a little on the darker side, but still fair, it would work. You never know!

I also have fair skin, but greenish eyes. I like the shy pink because it was not too pink, rather a more neutral browninsh pink. It's a good tone for lighter skin. I add a clear gloss over mine.

Mocha didn't work very well for my fair skin tone (hazel eyes), but oddly enough Mulberry works great for me.

I am a fair skin tone and the mocha looks lovely. You can add a gloss over the stain to tone it down for daytime. Tap on with your finger, it's easy to control the amount of product to give the amount of pigment you desire. Go for it!

hint of pink... I have the one is scarlet and it the container is does look like it has a lot of pink in it. i am not sure if this will help you though. fromt the looks of the color swatch is does resemble a pinky undertone. it will most likey be a chocolate brown on. with the scarlet... it is not pink at all on.

Samples are a great way to try new products & we include three free samples with every Sephora.com order. The sample selection is listed on our website and changes frequently, so check back often to see what we're offering. At this time we are unable to send custom samples from our warehouse. Another great way to try new products is to visit your local Sephora store. At the store, a Cast Member can make a tester for you of any products that we carry. They can also answer questions for you and make recommendations for other products. To find a store near you, check out our store locator. Thanks!

This lip stain will not fit in a custom compact well because of the height of the lip stain. The lip stain comes in a pot and is a .21 oz. We hope that helps!
