Questions & Answers for Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil Free

Question
It dries my skin too much! Is this normal reaction?
I've been using this 3-kit-starter for three days. My skin type is 3.
It dries my skin too much and I can't concentrate anything else but my skin. I feel its contraction!! On top of that, it started to peel off yesterday. So I couldn't put any make up on today.
Is this normal reaction to get adjusted or should I stop using this?

It takes about 3-4 weeks of continuous use for your skin to get used to it and stop peeling. Once you make it past the meeling stage though it will be so worth it! My skin was so itchy and peeling and red at first but that has gone away now and my skin is much better!

I think you should stop using it. If you're skin feels tight, it's far too drying so try to stay away from the Benzyol Peroxide (I'm not sure if I spelled that right).

Benzoyl Peroxide makes the skin extra sensitive to sun exposure and more prone to burning. Be careful to apply a topical SPF if you must use while outside.

Nope. It's not discontinued. I went to sephora to get one and I don't think they carry it. I went to the Macy's Clinique counter and they had a couple left. Try and check there. But they are still out there! :]

Since its impossible to find the acne solutions moisturizer because it is on backorder, a sales associate told me to use an exisitng moisturizer that you have and for your breakouts purchase the emergency spot treatment apart of the acne soultions line! Hope this helps

Question
Can I substitute this lotion with the Redness Solutions Daily Relief Cream?
I've bought the Redness Solutions Daily Relief Cream already but i'm thinking about purchasing the acne solution cleanser and toner. I noticed that the acne solutions clearing moisturizer also reduces redness...would it be the same if I just used the redness solutions daily relief cream instead of the clearing moisturizer?

No, the redness solution moisturizer does not work instead of the acne clearning Moisturizer. I find I dont need to use all 3 steps of the acne solutions line but the Clearing Moisturizer is the most important step! I often need a second moisturizer because the acne solutions one isn't enough. That's where the redness solution moisturizer comes in.
