Classic Kabuki Brush #50

Classic Kabuki Brush #50

What it is:This brush offers full coverage with a wide range of makeup, like mineral makeup, loose powder, bronzer, and blush. What it does:The densely packed goat-hair bristles pick up more product to provide moderate to full coverage. It has no handle, making it easy to hold in the palm of your hand and create contours on the face. When used to buff in a circular motion, this multi-taking brush leaves behind an airbrushed finish on every last feature.

I'm not 100% sure if you can, but I wouldn't recommend to. It's mostly used to help blend in your foundation and concealer or even loose powder.

I would avoid liquid products with this brush, as the bristles are so densely packed, you risk ruining the brush otherwise. Stick to mineral or loose powders. Mineral powers such as Bare Minerals actually have a "liquid" finish once applied - so you can try that!

No, you need a foundation brush to apply liquid foundation. The kabuki brushes are for powders.

If you like light powder coverage that goes on with an airbrushed feel then this would be a good option. If you need more than light powder coverage a powder puff might work better.

I wouldn't recommend it for pressed powder. I would say this brush is best for mineral-based makeup such as Bare Minerals, or loose powders.

Sure. I use it for blush, but it'd also work for pressed powder. Good shape, very soft, good coverage.

I've only used it for loose powder and I think it does a pretty good job of picking up the powder and evenly distributing it on your face. I got it about a week ago and so far I still love it!

The bristles are very soft and feel very nice against your skin. I haven't noticed any extreme shedding. Maybe a single hair here or there every other week or when you are cleaning it, but nothing to worry about if you are gentle.

I haven't used MAC brushes. But this brush is very soft, but not too soft to push the foundation nicely on the skin. It has not shed at all.

The brush is made of high quality goat hairs. The above answerer obviously doesn't know what "natural fiber" means. Goat hairs are natural. A synthetic fiber would be taklon.

Question
does this brush come in a small case or tube?
I am looking for a small brush to put in my purse when I'm on the go and this seems perfect, but I don't want to just throw it in my purse or have to put it in a ziplock bag (LOL). I would like to know if it comes in anything that I can carry it around in.

This little brush does not come in a container or case. If you threw it in your makeup bag or purse it would probably get messed up. Sephora does have a few other powder brushes that roll up into a case but no Kabuki brushes (yet).

answer 2
It does come in a small protective plastic tube (although the tube doesn't have ends on it). It is a fairly tight fit, and I do keep my brush in there to keep it from self destructing in my make-up bag or basket, but I don't know how well it would stand up to purse wear. It depends on if it would be free floating or kept in a small pocket. If it was kept in a pocket, I would think it would be ok.

about an inch diameter in the handle & the handle is about an inch long, the bristles are probably close to 2 inches long & 1/5" diameter. I did not measure, just guessed.
