Dior Dior Addict Lip Maximizer High Volume Lip Plumper

What it is:Dior's must-have accessory for luscious, full lips. What it does:Give your lips a kiss of instant volume and shine with this invigorating lip plumper. The rich blend of collagen and marine-based fillers smooth and moisturize the skin, leaving lips gorgeous and voluptuous. After just 15 days of use, your lips will be noticeably fuller and more defined. Smile big and enjoy the tingly, cooling effect of this formula, rather than the sometimes-painful sting associated with other lip plumpers. The soft vanilla-mint scent and sheer pink tint make this lip necessity gorgeous alone or as a volumizing base or topcoat. What else you need to know:Dior Addict Lip Maximizer was born from backstage beauty secrets, taking inspiration from makeup artists who used extreme measures like pepper powder to achieve the perfect runway pout. Now you can get the same glam results in an instant with this feel-good, delicious formula pepper-free, of course.

It does not have a specific type of taste. The shade goes on a sheer wash of light pink. It tingles for a few seconds while on the lips.

Does not change color of lips, enhances and brightens any lipstick color you may use underneath. Is not sticky.

It doesn't really change your lip color, but it does make your lip color more even and slightly brighter! It has a subtle vanilla mint taste. Hope this helps! I live in the desert and burts bees lip balm only does so much, not to mention it doesn't add shine. My lips have not been chapped at all since using this product and lips look healthy! Hope this helps :)

how does this product look on lips?
It looks natural. Like you have a natural clear gloss. Maybe even a little lighter because it's lighter tinted. It also causes blood to rush to the lips (with several minutes of wear) and makes them slightly redder.

i have medium skin with a litttle bit of olive in it. how does this taste and is it stickky?
No taste. No oil. No "thickness". Nothing. I don't notice it's there, except for the cooling, tingly effect.

its pretty expensive so i want to know if its worth it.

It's my favorite product on the market because it's flavorless, smooth, non sticky, non greasy and non traceable as well as refreshing. Reapply maybe to "refresh" the effect but I definitely think it's worth it. I only use Dior on lips because they have such carefully developed formulas.
Has a plumping effect (you can feel the tingle etc) and a smoothing effect as well. Go for it.

It has very little taste and is very sheer. It is definitely worth the cost, but I use it before bed and use Buxom Lips (Bunny color and less expensive) instead of lip gloss or chap stick.

It does not taste like anything really. It makes your lips look very nice but if you are trying to find something that has an intense sensation this is not a good product to choose. The tingle-factor is very mild.

i rarely write a review here--but I a olive toned/medium and it goes on nude/lipgloss. It is perfect with smokey eye. I have sensitive lips and skin and have not detected a strong smell/or any for that matter and I have no allergic reactions to it. It is a bit "tingly" when apply, but lips look fuller (not a miracle botox), but fuller and in my case, help to define my lip line more so I can use red and pink lipstick...hope it helps. I recommend this.

It is not sticky at all. On lips it is a soft pink, almost translucent color, but I can still see it. It can also be worn over other lipsticks since it is so light. But I think it looks great by itself. l I think it was worth the money because I have tried on so many other lip glosses that are so sticky and just have cheap feeling. This makes my lips feel soft and it even has a minty taste, kind of freshens breath which is great throughout the day! I would highly recommend it. It is a very soft pink though but I think the color would be pretty on anyone. I think it would look great on your skin tone. It is my new favorite plumper because it does not burn your lips or 'tingle' too much. It is very hydrating. Plus even just the Dior logo and overall look of it in person is so cute.

I have a medium skin complexion and found this product worked for me if i had colour on my lips and i applied it on top of it. The good thing about this gloss is that is does not make your lips stick together however i'm not a big fan of gloss because i spend my time picking my hair out of it. The taste is yummy and you dont get sick of it. I the dior maximizer given to me as a gift but probably wouldnt buy it myself.

Either way works but I find it "maximizes" more on a bare lip because there's nothing between the product and your skin and so you feel more of the tingle effect. I actually put lipstick on top of it, after I've worn it for a couple of minutes and I find it works this way too.

Yes. I usually put it on first, but I suppose it could also be used as a gloss. However, I like it next to the skin because it's hydrating. I often put it on before bed and the next morning, my lips feel very soft.

Since this is a thick(not sticky, but quite dense) I would wear perhaps a stain under it instead of a full lipstick. I use it alone because I already have deeply pigmented lips and using this product alone makes my cherry red lips pop!! I love it and really would only use a lip stain under

You can use this gloss on its own or on top of other lipsticks that you may have. For me, i like colour on my lips so i preferred to add colour first and then apply the lip maximizer on top so create a silky wet look. Loved it!

It depends on you. I find that it works really well for me and is one of the only glosses that isn't "tacky" or sticky and goopy. It's smooth, it smoothes the lines in your lips and gives you a fuller looking lip because of that. The minty tingly effect also causes blood to rush to the lips and adds more fullness as well as color.
I've been using it for years and haven't found a good substitute. Dior is really good with their lip glosses in terms of formula.

I use to use the "other" brand. I don't see any noticeable difference between their plumping power. It's all minimal. Fusion products promise much and deliver little in my experience.
However, Dior is less expensive, which means I don't feel as guilty using it constantly. I would use the Lipfusion XL only if it were a gift. I'm not into wasting my money.

Doir delivers for less and basically does the same hydrating, shine, and lip conditioning as any other top end product but for less $$.

This product plumps instantly (not over night, it has an immediate effect, and you need to reapply like any other lip gloss). If you continue using few times a day, everyday and for some time (couple of weeks), you will feel a general improvement in your lips beauty and hydration. It's a great product and def worth the try.

Lip plumpers really belong in the "false claim" category.

With that in mind, this is a lovely lipgloss that I think may give the illusion of a smoother therefore plumper lip. The LipFusion is probably equivalent but definitely more expensive and I'm not sure if it has any irritants in it.

I use the addict a lot--which is more a lipgloss/lipstick. For me, I use the lip maximizer on its own and my lips really do look fuller (when in a hurry). And I use it as a base--and then use the addict (lipgloss or lipstick) over it. For me, I find as it plumps my lips, it gives it a fuller and more defined lip-line too. I highly recommend it.

I really don't like the other Dior glosses and only buy Lip Maximizer. It glides on and looks and feels fabulous. Their regular glosses are what I consider to be too "thin" - I prefer a thicker consistency. The colors are pretty but I wear the Maximizer over lipstain for a natural look.

Question
How does this product compare to Buxom Buxom Lips (aside from the fact that it comes in only one tint)?
I'm especially interested in how it works and feels. Which product feels better on the lips (more comfortable and less sticky)? Does either product help in any lasting way (and, if so, which works better) to reduce lines and make lips fuller and more defined? ( I'm in my late 50's and would love to have lips that don't just almost blend in with my fair to pale skin and light ashy brown hair!) Which is better for a natural -- but improved -- look? And is this worth the extra money? It's a bit bigger but still more expensive than Buxom Buxom Lips. Thanks very much for your help!

I'm embarrassed to say I never looked at the ingredients but Dior is a top of line makeup and has never compromised on quality.
