Really no plumping is achieved with this. Barely a little tingle.

I went through about 5 tubes of this product. I needed/wanted something to replace Lip Venom 2nd Sin, which gave me longterm results that were noticable, but not instant results like they claim. For me, I found this product better at instant results after application than 2nd Sin. It keeps your lips a nice like "rosy / naturally healthy color" and smooth, but I found the longterm plumping to not be as good as they claim or as good as 2nd Sin (and others.)
I also noticed that this product exfoliates your lips, which explains the smoothing effect. But this caused me to literally have my lips peeling/exfoliating during the day, especially if I used it like they claim you can (under or over your lipstick, etc.) and that was NOT a good look. I was literally peeling off the skin during the day and it ruined my lipstick, etc. look.
So, I than only started using it at night as a treatment. They say to use it everyday for about 2wks to get the results they advertise. I think this is best used that way, and at night, then in the morning when you wash your face you can wipe/wash away the skin that was exfoliated during the night. I found this was the best way to get a natural looking, youthful, smoothing result without over-doing it. I noticed that if I kept using it for longer than 2wks that my lips were being over-exfoliated and basically chapped/irritated.
After using up 5 tubes of this, I recommend to follow the 2wks application, and at night, to avoid the peeling lip situation. I'd say to use this method for maybe once a month, 2wks each month. This will give you a nice, smooth, lip lines reduced look, rosy colored, youthful, natural, and just healthier looking lips look. About the longterm plumping, I did not notice it, unfortunately. I'd still recommend this product though, if you want to smooth out your lips, but I'd say to stick with the instructions to use for 2wks for best results, once per month or so, and to not wear it during the day, especially if you want to wear lipstick or anything like that because it might cause peeling, etc. and basically just ruin your lip look.
DON'T FORGET your lip SPF when using this (or ANY exfoliating product!)
I hope I helped you out in your decision :)
P.S.- A very good immediate as well as longterm plumper that I've switched over to for about a year now is City Lips. My sister, strangers, new and old Skype friends, and even Sephora associates have given me multiple compliments on my lips. Unfortunately, Sephora stopped selling it years ago, so just do a search to find it. In my opinion, that is the Best out there, and I've used ALOT! Lip Fusion XL comes in 2nd for me when it comes to immediate as well as longterm. Unfortunately, Sephora stopped selling that, too!
Remember to stay hydrated so the spheres in these products that attach to the water in your lips can really have something to grab on to and provide you the best plumping that you want.

I actually found this product did give me a long-term result. I'm someone who has pretty thin lips, and looking back at a photo of myself from three months ago, I already saw a difference from regular use of the lip plumper.

To be honest, it doesn't really do much plumping - it just feels nice on my lips and I love the shade.

There is no product out there which offers permanent results as such is impossible. If you want permanent results, opt for plastic surgery.

What ever result there is, it is temporary. You probably won't see any result, at all.

That really depends on if you plan on using it every day. If you use it every day, for the rest of your life, then the results will last that long, but if you stop using it, then the results will disappear. So, unless you plan to commit to a regimen and use it every day, it is only temporary.
