What is the difference between this or the Beard Lube. I want to give it as a gift, and don't know which one is better. Any recommendations?

I'll try to answer from my hubby's perspective b/c he has used both. He said that the beard lube was "pretty good" and you definitely get more of it. However, the triple cushion is "the best I've ever had". He says it makes his face softer and lets him get a closer shave without any razor bumps and less ingrown hair (which he always has a problem with).

My boyfriend has always used the Beard Lube, which is a thinner consistency than this thick and creamy Shave Lather. He loves, loves, loves this Shave Lather and every time he uses it he goes on and on about how great it is! I will buy him this from now on as a gift since his preference seems to lean towards a thicker shave cream.

Just read the other answers. One of the other posters makes a good point- Beard Lube might be preferred by a man who maintains facial hair and is concerned about precise lines, etc (I'm thinking a little goatee, etc) because it's lather is clear. In terms of shaving comfort and quality, Supreme Cream is better, so if it's all coming off or if his mustache/beard has simple lines, go with Supreme Cream. Also, some of the other posters are incorrect about Beard Lube being a "pre-shave oil." They aren't reading the whole description: "This revolutionary shave formula is a pre-shave oil, shave cream and skin conditioner in one easy step" (from the Beard Lube page).

Definitely go with Supreme Cream. I thought Beard Lube was awesome when I first used it, but then I was absolutely blown away by Supreme Cream. I've used them both for extended periods of time. Supreme Cream lasts much longer than Beard Lube and gives a superior shave.

The cream goes on more like a light paste/cream/lotion and the beard lube is almost gel-like. My boyfriend's used both and prefers the cream hands down.

The supreme cream would be great for a gift! It's a universal formula that should work on all skin types, and it has tons of good stuff for the skin, and it doesn't have too many chemicals in it. Although, if he does have a beard then I would go with the beard lube, because that would cater to his needs more!

I think the 1st answer that was given is incorrect. The beard lube in the tube is "a pre-shave oil, shave cream and skin conditioner in one easy step" per this website. Based on what a salesperson told me I chose the beard lube and use it as a shaving cream and love it.

If the Supreme cream Shave Lather is supposedly better than the Beard Lube, than why are there less reviews for this one?

And more reviews for the Beard Lube? I read the reviews here on Sephora for the Supreme cream shave lather and some reviews pointed out how it is better in terms of shaving compared to that of the beard lube. But then if it is supposedly better, I don't get why there are much more reviews written for the beard lube than for this one?

We have tried both of these products and find the cream shave to be superior. It's creamier, you can control exactly how much you need (which is very little) and it leaves our skin softer. For me my legs and underarms are softer and smoother. My husband has very sensitive skin on his face and this is the only shave cream that doesn't irritate it. Hope this helps!!

I believe more people comment on the beard lube due to the price point. It is easier to try a product that is less expensive. The beard lube prepares you for shaving. The supreme shave lather helps you to obtain a close shave and it helps to have a straight razor to lift the hairs. This will prevent your hair from growing back in a different direction and you will not have a razor burn either. This product is great.

If I am correct, the Beard lube was less expensive and came in a variety of sizes (travel, med, large...etc) But the Supreme Cream I found only in a tiny shaving kit size or a large jar. I would guess that there are more reviews because more people are buying the beard lube based on price and size? I myself was afraid to buy a big jar of the stuff, but it has been worth it cause my dude really likes it!

Most men do not use a badger shaving brush and shaving bowl, but this product is so much better, they should! It's also more expensive than the tube, but lasts longer.
