you can deffinitely use this for bronzer. but use it more as sweeping bronzer on then blending bronzer on since it can spread bronzer to other areas you won't want them.

Absolutely! Depends on how much color you want to deposit and which shapes and densities of brushes you're more comfortable working with. I like this sort of brush for the flushed cheeks and cheek bone look (also temples) but there's no reason you couldn't get a great effect with using bronzer. I personally think some very dense flat top brushes put too much bronzer on, so if you're looking for a lighter application, this would work, or a very large Kabuki.

I've used it with both kinds and have been happy with the results. I prefer the results with my pressed blush, but I have been coming to the realization I simply prefer pressed blushes on my complexion. It's not the loose blush's fault!

This brush works so much better than anything I ever had from the Bare Escentuals line, it's not even funny. And better than my regular series Sephora brush.

Yes! Loose mineral bronzer/color is what I use most days and I love it. I just dab the brush in the lid to get some color, and blow a little bit of air on it to shake off any heavy deposits (you know how bronzer can be) It's also easy to layer colors. Sometimes I will ladd a very sheer layer of soft shimmer pink over the bronze to achieve that "blonze" look.

You can use it w/ mineral/loose powder blushes, but don't swirl it like you normally would a regular blush brush. If you do, this brush won't hold it's shape, but it is wonderful! I love it (and I would use it too on mineral blush, but I'm using bronzer right now) b/c it is a great contour brush!

I use this to apply both pressed powder blush and my bare minerals loose powdered brush. Just remember to tap off the excess loose powder as these bristles really pick up powder.

This brush is great at picking up color, but it also disperses it evenly. If you want less, though, just dab it in your blush then tap it off a bit if you pick up too much.

It is possible to pick up a lot of product if you press it hard into the container. I don't like a lot of product myself and found it easy to adjust how much I pick up within a couple of uses. Also, as one reviewer mentioned, the brush is fairly light colored at the end so it's very easy to see if you've grabbed too much product. If so, just tap it off.

Can't find the #42 brush online, but the #49 Platinum blush brush is angled, so use it specifically for blush/bronzer/contouring, and if the #42 brush is angled also and is a few dollars cheaper, then spend the extra few dollars and get the Professional Platinum Brush b/c they are SO much softer and hold their shape well. Hope this helps!

the number 42 is a bit smaller all around, isn't angled as well, and although I doubt this matters the bristles are all white. i never used the 42 but i did see it in the store and i preferred the size and appearance of the 49. the 49 is exceptional and i'm very pleased with it.

No. #49 is about half a inch shorter in the handle. As for the brush head itself, #41 is much larger, more spread out, differently shaped and the bristles are longer.
