Questions & Answers for Dior Dior Bronze Self-Tanner Natural Glow Face

Question
Safe for acne-prone skin?
I have fair skin that is sensitive from hormonal acne. All of the facial self-tanners I have tried seem to "tan" the pores and cause breakouts. Will this clog pores? Any advice on the perfect facial self-tanner for acne-prone skin GREATLY appreciated.

Try this one since it's light and didn't seem to cause a breakout.

I was a little concerned also. My "menopausal" skin is very sensitive, and totally unpredictable. But this product has not caused any problems. I started out slow, one little section at a time, but I didn't have a bad reaction. Great product!

It caused a minor breakout for me as well. I would test it on a small part of your face first! Beware it is heavily perfumed which may cause a problem for you.

I would get a tester from the store. I use this at night mostly and I have no problems with break outs. It is a really great product!

I would give this one a try. It's different than most self-tanners for the face. I haven't had any trouble with breakouts other than the usual. It works well with other products too so you can use what you normally do with no problems.

I don't have acne prone skin so I can't say if this product will cause breakouts, but I would recommend Murad if they make one. I use their bronzing lotion and it looks lovely.

I can break out easily too and this doesn't cause me to break out. I wouldn't wear it everyday though and maybe put it on in the morning under your makeup. Like I mentioned in my review, I usually mix it with my normal facial moisturizer.

I am so sorry to hear about your acne. I do not know how self tanners work on skin with acne, but I do know a few things, and I thought I might share it with you. I am 45 years old now, and I have not had a breakout for 20 years. Except when I eat curry!!! It is just given, two days later I will have a huge problem. Also, Pro Active works, I have seen it in my little brother, who had such a huge problem - within weeks he was completely free of acne. I wish you good luck!! Something that is very good for your skin in stead of tanners is sunbathing!! But remember, you have to clean your skin very throughly after sunbathing, or else the cream ( and sweat ) will clog your pores again, and then you are back where you started!

It won't turn you orange- in fact, if you have skin darker than a fair/ivory color, odds are it won't show up. Go with Lancome face bronzer. It's potent, but lasts and doesn't smell bad. "Flash Bronzer Tinted Face Lotion"

Im afraid it does leave a unpleasant color, I tried it and My skin looked orangey color. I would recommend " Self Tanning-Gel" by the kardashian sisters. Hope this helps. :)

I really like this, it's not orange. The only problems I've had were my fault. I put on a ton and didn't get it even so ended up with a coppery birth mark looking thing on my neck, haha. Don't put self tanner on after a night out :)

It is a very gradual self tanner. I noticed results on the first day of use and the color builds with subsequent applications. If you stop applying the product completely the results will fade.

It is an overnight self tanner. I use it every night instead of a moisturizer and my face wakes up looking pretty with a slight tan. If I do any heavy exfoliation I will need to apply more to get my color back. I have been using this for several YEARS

It washes off gradually - you do not need to use a lot of it either - it covers well with one slim coat but can be darkened with a second - but I never have to add another coat - I have fair skin and it is perfect.

it doesn't wash off like make-up does, however the color doesn't last as long as a self-tanner on the body since you're face gets washed and scrubbed so much more than your body.

It is a graduate self tanner. You need to use several times to get a deep tan, After trying it, I did not like it ( I love Sephora for having such a great return policy, after all - the stuff we buy is expencive!! ) and I exchanged it for Clarins Gele Auto- Bronzante Express ( after reading the reviews on Sephora ), and I got twice as much cream for the same prize - and I loved it. But Clarins also gives a light tan, and has to be used several times to really make a difference.

Question
Would using this or any self tanner for the face require changing my foundation color or..
can I get away with with current one and some bronzer? Also, I'm scared about breaking out. People are giving mixed results on whether or not they break out. For those who did, what kind of skin do you have and what is your skin care routine? Mine is so unfortunately strict I hate it, but I'm hoping with a good cleanser and exfoliation, I won't break out, but I don't want to experiment with that aspect of my skin.

I have pretty tough skin, as in i don't usually get reactions to products. Whereas my sister often has reactions to products (and ends up giving them to me, and my skin is fine with them). After the first couple of uses of this, i notices a couple of areas that seemed to have a slight reaction. But this went away in a day or two. I no longer have this problem when i use this product. I guess my skin got used to it.

I have very sensitive skin, but even the scent in this product doesn't make me break out. However, I have very dry skin, so extra moisture is always welcome. Products that dry my skin out actually make me break out. So if you have dry skin ... and you exfoliate as you said, I'd guess you will have luck. The product recommends that you apply after moisturizing, but I use it in place of my moisturizer at night and in the morning I wake up sun-kissed.

I've found that if you wear this with foundation or cream blushes, your skin can look muddy. When I wear it, I only use spot concealer (also under my eyes) with a swipe of bronzer to even it out. I have the most reactive, sensitive skin which breaks out easily, but as long as I use a good cleanser and spot treat my acne-prone t-zone (before and/or after using this), I am good to go. The plus side of this product is that it makes your skin tan and glowy to the point where foundation isn't as necessary.
