Is the applicator a brush or felt sponge?

I purchased this lip gloss in Spark over a year ago and love it, but hated the brush because the bristles didn't stay straight after just a few uses. Just wondering if Smashbox is still using a brush with bristles vs. a sponge applicator (the picture shows it is a sponge, but just wanted someone to verify).

Hi,

According to the updated descriptions as of May 18, 2011, Sheer Color uses a brush applicator wand to coat lips, and True Color and also Full Color shades both use the doe-foot application.

I hate...HATE...the brush tip. I have had to stop using these glosses since they switched to these and my heart is broken. They were my favorites ever. The brushes split and break after a few uses. I have one sponge-tip gloss left, and it is almost gone. Any recommendations for a replacement gloss that can rival these?

I would try Capture, Candid, or Radiant. All of these shades are universally flattering, especially for olive undertones.

I like Candid, worn over Stila High Shine Lipstick in Natasha, Amber, or Ariel. Afterglow, Pout, Pop, Aura, illume, and Beauty are very pretty too.

i have olive-toned skin too, and i would say that beauty and pout are my top two. pout is just a great pink, and beauty compliments my skin very well. its almost a watermelon color? they make your lips fuller and both colors just look great. i love them :)

I don't think you can really go wrong with most of the colors. If you wear it over liner, I would choose a "sheer". The colors I have tried are very forgiving and light.

I also love the shade sultry! It's ironic how sultry is depicted for this gloss but isn't sold online. Some stores to carry it but since dark lips are in style this season, it's selling out quickly.

try pout by smashbox. It is a hint of soft pink yet it dosent look like your daughters lipgloss. It goes well with everything you wear and it looks clean and sophisticated.(trust me)

I have both shades, and they are not too much alike at all. Both are beautiful, but in my opinion, very different. The candid has more of an apricot undertone, while radiant is more berry.

No! Candid is a peachy coral golden berry. I personally love it, great for everyday use. Radiant is more for night, it's a raspberry glittering golden shade. I seriously recommend Candid because it's just such a versatile color, but both are beautiful!

I think it is more like a brush but I have used a complete bottles and did not see where the brush frayed or fell apart at all. Hope that helps.

Depends on what type of gloss you buy: sheer color, true color, full color, etc. I believe the true color and full color have sponges and the the sheer has a brush. I have the full color (fame) and it has a spongy applicator
