The correct order is after cleansing and toning the skin, use Rev-ver Upper, then moisturize. At this point I let things soak into the skin. Depending on the day I put an additional sunscreen on (SPF 15 is not good enough for the bright sun around here) Then after that soaks in use Prime Time then Bare minerals. I have dry skin, so none of this overly builds up for me. My skin needs all the hydration it can get. Rev-ver upper alone is not enough, I definitely need a moisturizer in addition to it. So if you skin is like mine, that is what I do and it works great. People say I have porcelain skin and I am forty.

Laura Gellar's Welcome Matte seemed too thick to me. It was also hard to get out on the bottle. When you put on the tiniest amount it was ok, but it didn't seem to cover without getting flaky, especially around my nose, chin and eyes. Prime Time never gets flaky.

The primer did make me break out terribly, and it made my skin super oily. I now use the hourglass mineral veil primer and that stuff is magic in a bottle it's a bit pricier, but ever since I haven't had problems with my skin.

Sorry to say this made my oily skin even more oily and did aggravate breakouts. The Skin Revver Upper is a light moisturizer/primer that did not break me out and felt good on my face. It doesn't function that well as a primer though.

I struggle w/ cystic acne also at times (birth control is the only thing keeping it in check) but NO it has not aggravated my acne (cystic or otherwise) - that's why I like it so much, and a little goes a long way.

answer 4
No, it does not. A primer is supposed to be a layer between your skin and foundation so that your foundation can sit on top of the primer and not sink into your fine lines, pores, or wrinkles. I used this even when I have active/cystic acne because it actually makes me feel safer knowing that my foundation and any bacteria won't go into my pimples. Also, this product is supposed to be organic so it shouldn't make your acne worse.

This Prime Time actually made me break out more then ever. Everyone's face is different so I'm not 100% sure if this will make your cystic acne worst. It also made my forehead very oily looking, so I had to return it. If anything, I'm sure Sephora can give you a sample to give it a try before you decide to purchase the product.

No, this product will not make any kind of acene worse. Depedning on how red your acene is or how much/how it looks when you apply it it'll go on smooth and light then apperance of the bumps. It'll be noticeable somewhat but overall it'll make it look a little better :)

use it with the rets of the make-up and you'll look pretty okay
I have had bad acene and it actually made mines way better

Question
What is the difference between the skin revver upper and prime time?
I bought the Skin Revver Upper product in the starter package for BE makeup and I like it, am out of it, and am wondering if I should re-order it or get Prime Time instead. So what is the difference between the two and should I use one or both?

The Skin Rev-Upper is basically vitamins/glycolic/salicylic acids which exfoliate your skin. The Prime Time is a primer.

Personally, I prefer the skin revver-upper, because it's made my skin MUCH clearer - I've been using it every day before my moisturizer for the last couple of months and have not had a single breakout (which is totally not normal for my skin - usually I have them fairly often).

I don't honestly know the difference between Prime Time and Skin Rever Upper but I have used both and prefer the Prime Time. I think the Skin Rever Upper is more of a moisturizer and Prime Time prepares your skin for longer-lasting makeup. I prefer this product because I like the consistency, it is thick and dries quickly while the Skin Rever Upper is watery and takes longer to dry. It also makes my skin so soft.

I also started with the Rever upper product from the kit and felt it wasn't enough as I have oily skin, the Rever upper product is sort of a base for your BE products. I bought the Prime Time and found that it gave a better coverage for the BE productswhere I didn't have to make ANY touch ups.I tried using the products at the same time and I got a more matte look to the make up, and was amazed at how well the BE products lasted through out the day/night. Just need to let both products dry well before applying powders. Hope this helps.

Question
Does this work well with other brand foundations?
I'm pretty much a virgin to primers. I prefer using liquid foundation (Clinique) over mineral foundation. BE tends to link their products together (meaning, they say that one product works REALLY well if ONLY you use it with THEIR products). You know what I mean? Will it work just as well if I use it with my Clinique liquid foundation? I received a nice size sample from Sephora's brand and I really like it. If you know anything about their version versus BE's, I'd really appreciate you opinion. Thanks!

Question
Compare, please??
I so hope that someone can help me here.
I am a long, long time, loyal BE user. I love the products, as well as the prices.
I had never really been a user of primer however, I tried Cover FX Skinpep FX (recieved a sample from Sephora, of course) and was soooo impressed with the results. My skin was so smooth and my Bare minerals went on over it, flawlessly. I purchased a bottle before I ran out of the sample!
I now need to puchase a new bottle and am hoping that someone can tell me that the Bare Vitamins primer will be as great as the Cover FX.

I have used both of these primers and I have to tell you, I prefer the Prime Time. I really liked the Cover FX one too, but somehow this primer is just a little smoother for me. I didn't notice until I used the Prime Time how sticky the Cover FX can be. Prime Time is definitely smoother and silkier. And, hey worst case scenario, you don't like it, you can always return or exchange at Sehpora. Maybe buy the Prime Time before you run out of the Cover FX, so that if you don't like it you will have some of your old one on hand until you get to the store to exchange. Hope this helps!!

I have used both products and they both are great...lightweight, smooth, fast-drying, and they allow the mineral powder makeup to stay on and look smooth. The Brightening primer is just a little more sheer with the barest, barest hint of a shimmer. The only downside is that the product in the bottle tends to clump and you really need to shake the bottle.

Original primetime is clear & goes on transparent. Great if you are looking for a primer which controls oil, minimise pores & lines, smooth dry patches, basically everything you need in a primer.
Brightening primer - it is tinted with pearlised pigments. However, it does not make ur skin look 'oily'. In fact, dewy soft glowing skin is what you need for the most part of 2011! The trend now is healthy looking skin and this is your answer. It controls oil & minimise appearance of pores as well. Personally I like the brightening more after I tried it!

I have used both and have used prime time primer for years and just bought the brightening one. They are both essentially the same thing, the only difference is that the brightning one is a little more "runny" but not so runny where its going to spill all over the place either. There is a little tint to it but it goes on clear. The main difference is that it gives you a "glow" just ike the name says "brightening" I love both but using the brightening now and I have gotten a lot of compliments so far on my skin. There is deff a glow with this new primer. hope that helps you a bit!
