Question
Hot Mama vs Papa Don't Peach vs NARS orgasm?
I am looking for a perfect peachy blush and I have not had a chance to go into Sephora in order to try this on, however I did try on the Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Blush and found it a tad bit too shimmery. I also did NOT like the very glittery NARS orgasm blush. I want something that gives a nice, natural peachy glow with a slight shimmer. Do you recommend this?

I also thought NARS was too shimmery. If you don't want ANY shimmer then I would use Benefit Coralista, but I think Hot Mama is in between the two. It illuminates but looks natural. Hope that helps!

Yes, this sounds like what you're looking for.... it is less shimmery than Nars and about the same color. Just watch out for getting it all over your clothes when applying.

I find this blush to be VERY shimmery, which is why I only wear it on sunny days and days when I do not have shimmery eye shadow on. Although NARS Orgasm blush is shimmery also... I would wear NARS over this one.

I used Nars Orgasm all the time until I came upon Hot Mama, Nars is shimmery and is much more pink than Hot Mama. Hot Mama is much more pinky peach, but it is also shimmery. I really love using it during the summer for the nice natural glow it gives.

The blush will give you a peachy, golden shimmer, but is not overwhelming. I have medium skin and tan easy in summer, so I do not know how it would look on lighter or fair skin. If you have a medium skin tone or darker, this will definitely look good. I was not sure at first to order it, but I am glad I did.

I would definitely recommend hot mama. I love orgasm myself, but if your looking for less glitter and a more natural glow, hot mama is your pick. It has a slight gold shimmer, but depending on hot much you layer it on is how noticeable it would be. A quick dust on the cheeks is usually good enough for me.

I'd definitely go with the Hot Mama because I wanted the Nars one too in the beginning but it was too glittery for me. It goes on smoothly and gives me a nice glow when I don't want the bronzy or glittery look. Plus its cheaper!

Hot Mama vs. Tarina Tarantino dollskin blush in Feather
i am 19 and have soft black hair, very light/pale skin and meidum brown eyes. i have all berry and pink blushes and would like to try a peach. i already have NARS Super O, so if this color is similar to that, i don't want this. Super O actually turns very pink on me with no peach at all. Tarina Tarantino blush looks really pretty. Has anyboyd tried both? Neither are in my nearest Sephora store, so please list pros and cons and compare. thank you so much!!

Tarina Tarantino dollskin is ALOT more sparkly than Hot Mama. I was torn on both because the colors were similar, but Hot Mama was less sparkly with the same glow and natural look. Also, I could use Hot Mama on my eyes and lips for that all over balanced peachy look.

Hot Mama blush is actually similar to NARS Orgasm blush (not the Super Orgasm), almost exact copy but I like the NARS one better, it's peachy, better pay off, not sparkly but has a nice sheen. I'm very light also and I love the NARS O blush...You might also like the Benefit "Coralista" blush...LOVE LOVE LOVE it =)

Stay away from Tarina Taratino! This blush is excellent! It does have a sheen shimmer quality, which really brightens the eye area up!

But the best piny corally blush is Nars Deep Throat. Hot Mama is too illuminatingly sheen like for me.

I've read that Hot Mama and NARS Orgasm are almost the same. Can anyone tell me what the differences might be (color, quality, pigment, etc.) and which one they prefer? I really like the packaging of Hot Mama, but NARS is such a cult-classic.

It's a great comparison to NARs Orgasm, this one is just a bit lighter with less glitter which i prefer. (I do wear shimmer around my cheek area but I prefer to apply that separately to have more control over the product and where I apply it) If you are light skinned as I am I would recommend this over Nar orgasm. I recommend you apply the product lightly and build it up as need!!

Hot Mama is a bit less intensely pigmented than Nars Orgasm. The shade is similar but I like Hot Mama better because on my light skin Orgasm can look too bright. You can get a very sheer glow with Hot Mama or build up to a brighter color making it more versatile than Orgasm.

When I went to the store last I actually had the sales rep apply Orgasm to one side and Hot Mama to the other. In the store I saw that they looked pretty much identical, so I decided to wear it that way for the rest of the day to see if there was a difference in different light and whatnot. I also asked my bf which side he liked better (obviously he didn't know which was which) and he actually preferred the Hot Mama, if that counts for anything. The color is essentially the same. There is a little more shimmer in Hot Mama (which I definitely like since my foundation is pretty matte, but even if it weren't...). With the more affordable price point and cute packaging, Hot Mama takes the cake in my book.

I'm not sure if you are asking because you are interested in buying the product, and want to know beforehand, or if you are asking because you already have the product and are wanting to know the expiration because it is neither listed on the website, packaging it comes in, or the packaging of the actual product. In either case, it says no where what the expiration is.

There is no expiration date on the product, but I believe the general rule of thumb is to use beauty products for no more than a few months. However, I used my last Hot Mama blush for over a year (that's how long it lasted me with daily use), and I didn't have any problems, seeing any changes in the product or my skin, so I'd say you're good at least up until a year. Good luck!

expiration dates are imposed by the makeup industry to make you buy more often. it's not a pill or food. if it still works, use it. it's not going to become chemically unstable and blow up on your face.

and no, i don't see an expiration date printed on here.

Question
Is TheBalm "Hot Mama" too similar to Benefit's Coralista to buy both? Are they similar or are they different colors entirely?

This blush goes on very pinkish. If you have pink undertones, you'll look sunburned! I have fair skin with dark hair and it didn't look right on me. I think it would be beautiful on someone with darker skin. The underlying gold highlighting quality makes any wrinkles stand out too. If your skin is flawless with no red undertones, it could work great.

No, they are different so you could buy both, but if you're only going to buy one, you should get the hot mama. The online picture doesn't do this blush justice. It's a gorgeous peachy pink color with a golden sheen, similar to Nars Orga$m, but without the heavy glitter. It has just the right amount of shimmer. Coralista is a dark coral color and it's more orange and hot mama is more pinky peach, so you could get both.

Just a tad similar, i think that Coralista has just a bit of a deeper color. I tested both at Sephora in different light, the store clerks probably thought I was crazy, but I ended up getting Hot Mama...the sheen and luminosity and the color was just really pretty, I was just more drawn to Hot Mama. I am light-medium skin tone, hazel eyes and chocolate brown hair. All I wore today was Perfekt foundation, Dior mascara, Hot Mama and Soul Sista...and my husband said to me "see you don't need any makeup" ha! Little did he know I was wearing it all! Well, I hope I somewhat helped you.

I tried this on my lip because I was curious about the "light-reflecting lip finisher" part about this product... but I didn't notice anything special about it. It just literally felt like I was putting blush on my lips, which is exactly the case. The texture is powdery, so... I personally don't want to wear it on my lips. Still a good blush though! :)

I have tried it on top of some lip glosses before as well as some creamy lipsticks. If you simply take a little of it on your ring finger and pat it in the center of your lips, it makes them look great! It gives a subtle coral sheen (depending on what lip base you have on, it can be more pronounced than on others), and as long as you make sure to blend it in, it feels just fine. I can't really even tell that it is on. Hope that helps you!

I'm not too sure about a "lip finisher", but definitely a lip enhancer. If you just put a little bit of this on your cupids bow (the part of your upper lip that dips down) and right under the middle of your lower lip it will give the illusion of bigger/fuller lips. Just be sure to blend it in a little so it doesn't look like a glob of powder. Hope this helps

Will this be too pink on olive skin?
I have THE HARDEST shade of olive skin to match a blush to. Many are way too pink and I look like a clown, but bronzers turn me wierd, sickly shades of yellow. I also change tones a lot from winter (very pale) to summer (very tan).

Will this blush look clownish on yellow undertoned skin, and/or match me in winter and summer?

I don't think it would be too pink at all. The blush itself is more peach/apricot than pink. I think this color would the best on olive skin because of the warm peachy sheen it gives off. And it's very buildable, you can go for just a little bit or you can layer it for a more noticeable color.
