Questions & Answers for MAKE UP FOR EVER Duo Mat Powder Foundation

Question
oxidation
I have combination skin, and I tend to oxidize sometimes with powder foundations (like the mac mineral loose powder foundation), but I was wondering if this will make me oxidize too. Has this happened to anyone?

I always had problems with foundations turning colors on me, and getting orangy throughout the day. This powder foundation is fabulous and I have had no problems with it oxidizing. I use this by itself, and sometimes with MUFE's Mat Velvet Plus underneath, and either way is great and does not change color on me. My skin is very oily, and a lot of times foundation does tend to oxidize on oily skin, I do usually chose one shade lighter than my skin tone to try to avoid this. But yeah, this stuff is great.

I used to use Studio Fix by MAC and I found that that pressed powder would "change color" on me and it would get blotchy and look orange throughout the day, due to it oxidizing. This Duo Mat foundation is very good and it has never changed color on me. it also stays very matte and provides great coverage. I highly recommend it, and you should give it a try! Also, you should try a primer! I highly suggest Sephora Anti-Shine primer :) Enjoy!

I used to use Laura Mercier, and I hated it. This product is so much better. It doesnt have as much of a chalky finish. Its sets well.

i am also a 153, but the sales associate told me 207 and 209 are very similar and i picked up 209 thinking it was 207and liked the 209. in fact she thought it was skin and that i had a flawless complexion... it really is quite nice.

Do not get this product if you do not like yellow undertones. It is totally yellow, I requested nothing with yellow undertones and this is what they gave me and it sucks

I do not have any idea which color would be the exact match but the consultants are great at helping you out with this. I was a medium beige as well, and am a 209 in the Duo Mat Powder FOundation.

As far as the breakouts, I was having a lot of break outs with Bare Minerals and practically have none with the Duo Mat Powder Foundation. It has helped clear my skin.

Question
what is one shade lighter than beige opalescent?
I have fairly light skin with yellow undertones and can no longer read the shade on my compact! I returned beige opal as too dark and got this one. Help?

Beige opalescent, color 200, is the lightest color. Color 199, which you'd think would be lighter, is actually darker and deeply pink. After color 200, the shades just get darker.

Everyone, stop stop stop stop asking people online to reccommend color matches. we cant see you & we probably dont know what color the brand was you were using before. go into a sephora location and ask a consultant and theyll have you matched up in no time. much easier. they can answer any questions you have.

I have oily, super sensitive, relatively acne-prone skin and this powder works wonders. It lasts pretty long compared to many other powder foundations like Bare Escentuals. If you're looking for a matte look, this is it. It covers really really well and looks natural. It doesn't look cakey at all. If you need more coverage, apply it with a damp sponge.

This is a really good powder and i would suggest you to try it.It has extremely good coverage. I have never had a problem with any of their foundations ever making me brake out. If by some chance they don't have a good shade match for you, try their matte velvet plus liquid foundation they have a better shade selection and is great for acne prone and oily skin. It really will keep your skin looking matte, it feels extremely light and not oily!

Question
what is slightly darker than the 200?
The 200 is a pretty good match but I look like a ghost! I know the shades usually go darker with number but some are more red and some are more yellow. Any suggestions? The nearest store is 1 hr away.

201 is actually just a little more beige than 200. 201 is a bit too orange for me, and 200 is perfect. So 201 might be better for you if your skin tone is slightly yellow or beige.

I feel your pain--I am 1 1/2 hours away. The 210 shade if just a little darker with an undertone that is not as yellow. It looked more pink/rosy on my very pale skin. I wear the 200 shade and it is a perfect match for me.

Woooo your skin is very close to mine. You should try Matt Powder 205. Right now I'm really light because of the winter and I use MUFE Matt Velvet Foundation 40 with Matt powder 203. When I am tanner, I use MUFE Matt Foundation 35 with Matt Powder 205. Hope that helps!

usually when you select a MUFE foundation it will give you the powder that goes with it...try selecting your foundation in the "pick your shade section" and it should be available for selection with the foundation...Hope this helps :-)
