Does Mat Velvet last in the heat? Is it sweat-proof?
Oily/combo skin, light to medium complexion. Living in a warm place and it's been very hot. How well does this last in intense heat? I'm not used to this kind of heat and perspire a great deal; my mineral makeup doesn't stand up to it, will Mat Velvet last?

on Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation
I wore this foundation outside in the heat during a photo shoot with the wind blowing and the sun beating down on me and it lasted all day and night (way beyond the shoot). I'm also a dance instructor, so sweat is no stranger to my daily routine. I haven't had a problem with needing to reapply anything so far! If you're worried, try using a good setting spray! I added it just in case, and even after hours of dancing, this foundation doesn't go anywhere.
I live in the southern most tip of Texas. Summer's get over 100 almost daily. Going from a parking lot to a store can bring on the sweat! MUFE mat velvet is one of the few foundations that has ever stood up to this wickedly humid heat. Sweat is a non issue with this.

This is a good foundation and has really good coverage, but for someone like me with really oily skin it just wont stay on. I'd touch my face and it would come right off! A really great foundation that stays on is estee lauder double wear! great coverage and good in heat.

I put it to the test today in the hot sun of FL. I was outside for 3 hours at around 12pm and the best thing was that when I got into the car I had sweat on my hairline and a little moisture on my forehead, but I was able to wait it out and the sweat went away with time and did not leave streaks. I do sweat a lot, it runs in the family, but it was very good to see that my face had not melted. Again please note that it will not last through a marathon, but it is very good even in the heat.

This lasts quite a while in the heat and when sweating. The only thing is that I have to put primer on the oily spots on my face because otherwise it won't stick. If you're skin isn't oily at all, it shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, it will withstand the heat. I spent hours at a bbq and my make up remained flawless.

It's the only foundation I've ever used that did not require a touch-up or powder during the day for my oily skin -- even during a hot, humid summer in the deep south!

Definitley. I live in South Florida, where it is extremely hot and humid. When I used to wear Bare Minerals and eat outside during lunch, or stay and talk outside after church, I would have to quickly run inside because it would look orange and my face would be very oily and greasy-looking.
With this, I was amazed when I went back inside and saw that I did not have to blot at all. And I have two hour lunches in the sun!

This foundation stood up to several hours of cooking in the intense heat of a restaurant's kitchen! I love it!

I come from the south where heat and humidity are in abundance. I find this to be a great "stay with you" foundation with out looking "fake". I love it.

Definatley sweat proof! When I'm in school, my makeup usually sweats off my face by the end of the day. But by using this foundation, It lasts for hours!
