I haven't had a problem with the orange glow effect, however I do not spray it directly on my skin, I lightly spray it on a large brush and then apply it to my face. It's not a self-tanner.

My best guess is that the only people who would have an orange effect are super-pale, in which case, the pigments might show a little differently on their skin. I'm fair with freckles and it works fine for me.

I have very very pale skin. Mostly everything turns orange on me that's supposed to be a bronzer. While this was slightly too dark, it didn't turn orange either.

I've been using this product for years and I go through my normal makeup routine before applying this bronzer. I apply my foundation, concealer, powder, eye makeup and lipstick first, then apply this just before walking out the door.

If you need foundation as well, this isn't for you. This needs to be applied to clean skin. It's foundation in a spray bottle, so you need to rub it in with a foundation sponge and therefore applying foundation under or on top would defeat both purposes. If you need a matte bronzer on top of your foundation, try Laura Mercier in Dune. She also makes a shimmery bronzer, if you prefer shimmer. This terracotta spray does not have shimmer in it.

you can use this on is own if you want, but if you feel like you have problem skin that you really want to conceal you might want to still put your concealer under it or even still both concealer and foundation.... and yeah I have a yellow undertone skin as well and it does transfer on yellow undertone skin as mopre of a pink-undertone bronzer.. but i still think it looks gorgeous
however it you want to stick to even more golden broze try Tarte's "park ave princess" bronzer, NARS "laguna" , bobbi brown's "golgen light 1".... those have more of a golden undertone:)

No, don't use foundation underneath. I was at Sephora yesterday and VENDOR FROM Guerlain put it on me and used some concealer after.

First things first - you say you have problem skin, but you don't say what the problem is (ace, rosacea, etc.) If you have irritated skin to begin with (reddish to start out with) you may need to invest in a good color-correcting foundation to help calm and even skin tone. As far as order of application, I'd suggest: concealer first, then a LIGHT application of foundation (caking it on in an effort to cover "problem areas" can just make them more apparent), a 2 second spray of this bronzer, other makeup (eyes, etc.), then any highlighter/bronzing powder, and lastly, loose powder just to set your look. If you ever think the bronzer is too harsh or dark, blend with loose powder to soften the look.

I do not use foundation when I use this bronzer,,,I do use my press powder to conrtol the normal shin on the nose & cheek.

I have worn it with foundation & without. It works great either way!

If you don't already have a base tan, or do not have a medium or olive skin tone, I would recommend the lighter of the two. I have naturally olive skin and i use a spray tan once a week so I use the darker one and it matches my skin perfectly.

If you're skin is very light, then light would be for you, BUT if you get a bit darker in the summer, closer to Medium skin tone, then use Medium. OR order both colors and keep the one that you like best. Sephora takes back anything you don't like.

most people are usually the light, unless you would categorize your skin tone right now as being "tan" , then i would say go with the medium:)

I would go with the light. I was on Sephora yesterday and a vendor from the company was there and put the light on me. I am on the fair side, but I have some color at the moment and my skin has a pinkish hue. The product really isn't that light and it gave me color and helped blend my skins natural color so I didn't look too pink (because I am fair I do get red from sun). I really the medium is for people with darker skin so if you are on the fair side, I'd get the light, Hope this helps!

I'm light skinned (tan gradually and have freckles) and the Light is very noticable without looking fake. Unless you're naturally dark or tan very easily, the Medium might be too much.

Light would be for Fair/ White skin tone. Mediunwould be for Dark/Black skin tone.

No, it doesn't look orange at all. It is actually much more natural looking than any other powder bronzer that I have ever used. Something to do with the mist makes it look naturally sun kissed where applied and it lasts all day or night.

actually that's what I thought when I was first looking to get it put it really does'nt it's a nice true bronze look... If anything on like olive skin or yellow undertones it comes out on their skin as a pink undertone type of color, but ive seen it lokk gorgeous on every skin type:)

No, it looks very natrual. Golden without the orange tones. Gives a smooth look without the shine.

It can look a little dark when you fist apply if the spray was too targeted (too close, etc.) but once you blend with a brush, it evens out to a nice toasty bronze, not a streaky orange.

No, you can use it all over. I use it on my chest, the backs of my arms, sometimes my calves for that toned look.

No you can totally use it all over your body. You can use it to create illusion of toned legs and arms! But for the price, I only use it for my face.

You could use it anywhere, except if you wanted to do arms and legs, it would get to be very expensive. The can supposedly does 130 facial applications for about $59, and if I used it on the rest of me, it would be very expensive.

It only last one day, it is not a "self-tanner". It is like a foundation. Instead of wearing your basic liquid foundation(or terra-cotta powder) to look tanner, you spray it onto your face. It goes away once you clean your skin.

For me, maybe 6 to 8 weeks, and that is using it on a daily basis. But I think I can get away with using even less with my daily applications.

I would not recommend spraying directly on the face. This causes concentrated sections of the product and it can look uneven and orange.

I WOULD recommend using a synthetic foundation brush. Spray the brush from 4-6 inches away and then apply quickly to the face.

I hold it about four inches from my face, close me eyes, and spray as evenly (for about 1.5 seconds) as possible holding it in front of me. You may have to do an extra dusting or two on the side of your face depending on your skin tone. As it goes on almost powdery, if there's a rare splotch or two you can just blend it with a makeup brush. That's what I do, anyway. Hope this helps. =)

You can spray it directly on the area and blend with your fingers or spray on a foundation type brush and then apply.

It says in the directions (paraphrasing): using a circular motion, spray on intended area for ~2 seconds. However, I found 4-5 seconds to be my magic number- as I like to include my neck and upper chest....or if it feels like the mist hit one cheek more than the other, then i will "circle" back to that cheek. Really gives a nice even toned look.

It's very easy to apply this product. Honestly all you have to do is shake it quite a bit and then just hold it maybe like 10 inches away from your face and spray (it's better to hold it farther rather than closer because if you hold it too far you can always go over it, but if you hold it too close it may be too dark). It will take a few times to get used to how far to hold it and how to get the sides of your face and everything but once you figure it out you will fall in love with this product!

After you have done your face, simply mist the product over your face. Or, use instead of other makeup for a quick natural glow

I understand it can be used all over the body,,, My Cosmetic Specialist had indicated that he used it for full coverage. However, I have only used it on the face & chest & arms area when I ware Sun Dressses and/or those very low cut dresses..

There is no way to tell you how many applications you will go threw as it depends how you use it. Some people use this all over their body and some on their face only. If you use it only on your face, a good guess would be that this lasts you around 2-3 months.

Yes, really. You only use a 2 second spray (if that) each time. If you hold it at the correct distance, it covers your face/neck perfectly (if you're not a perfect aim, you can always blend with a brush and some bronzing powder.)
