Questions & Answers for REN V-Cense™ Revitalising Night Cream

Question
Which is better Ren Frankincense or Nude's Age Defense Moisturizer?
I am 26, with fair skin and have combination skin. I tend to become a little shiny in the t-zone mid-day. I am looking for a product that will balance out and really moisturize my skin. I have a few expression lines on my forehead and one in between the brow that I would like to see smoothed out. I am currently on my first bottle of Ren's night cream but I am interested to hear if there are people out there that have both used Ren's Frankincense and Boswellia Serrata Night Cream and the Nude Age Defense to tell me which one works the best.

I have used Nude's glycolic mask and loved it. I only tried a sample of their night cream. However, I love the Ren Frankincense night cream because it really has made my skin tighter and has lessened the lines around my eyes and forehead. I don't have many lines, and really they are still "creases" so they didn't have far to go, but in 2 months, I've seen a real difference. For day time, I use the Ren balancing cream and add a dab of Frankincense on drier days...

I hope this helps.

Question
Compared to Korres Oak and Quercetin night cream?
I've been using Korres Oak and Quercetin with good results but I am almost out and I love to try new things. I'm curious if anyone has tried both and have any comparisons. Thanks!

I've tried a sample of that particular Korres cream and didn't like the smell. I'd give this a try. REN also uses safer ingredients than Korres if that matters to you.

I've never used the Korres, but would highly recommend the REN to anyone. I love it. You can purchase one of the mini trial kits with this in it for about $35.00 and sample several of the products all at once. This is by far my favorite REN product & in my opinion well worth the money.

Question
How long does this last?
I received a sample of this product from Sephora and fell in love with it! However, the full size product is a little expensive. How long does this product usually last you?

I purchased my last bottle on Nov. 2nd and I still have a bit left. I find that a dime size drop goes a long way. Just dot it on your face and spread it with one or two fingers, so that your face will absorb most of it as opposed to your hands. I love this stuff, so I actually use it in the daytime as well, so it has not lasted as long as other times. However, I included a picture so you can see how much I have left after 4 months of use.

No, they don't test their products on animals. And most of their products are vegan, btw. You can go to REN's website and read all about their standards in the FAQs.

I have super sensitive acne-prone skin and I have not had increased breakouts in the weeks that I have been using this night cream - if anything, I have had fewer breakouts. The same goes for my mom who has also started using it, and we both break out at the drop of a hat. In my opinion, its the best out there and the only thing I will use.

Yes, I think you can! I use this with my prescription topical tratment (retin-a). I put my medication on first and then this. No breakouts yet!

I used Proactiv years ago, and I found that my skin got really tight and dry. If you are experiencing the same, I'd definitely recommend using this because it's so lightweight, moisturizing, and soothing. (I use it after using the peel mask and it really calms and soothes my skin.) Additionally, the natural ingredients are perhaps less likely to cause a negative reaction with the Proactiv ingredients.

i have senstive acne prone skin that is actually on the drier side and I have noticed that this cream is not quite moisturizing enough for my skin. I would suggest it for a normal-oily skin type because it is lightly moisturizing and doesnt clog pores, irritate, or cause me to break out.

I have oily skin too, very sensitive, and it worked fine for me. However, I think you could get the same results with a cheaper product.

Question
Can it be used by itself?
I read on its box in the store that it was to be used over another cream (omega3 something or other), but I don't see that anywhere on here. I really liked how it felt in the store, but I don't want to spend anymore on another product with it, it's expensive enough!

I use it on its own at every night. I think they suggest using the Omega 3 serum in conjunction to add more moisture, but it is not necessary if the cream is moisturizing enough for your skin.

Any of these products can be used alone. I have used the serum with it, it's oily, but a good kind of oil that sinks into your skin and does not leave you greasy, and then the night cream on top of it is great. But definitely use it on it's own. I use it during the day too, then put a sunscreen on top of it (Shisheido makes a good sunscreen).

The whole line was created by a guy whose wife was pregnant because her skin had gotten super sensitive due to the pregnancy. It is also entirely natural and vegan I was told, so I would think that it is perfectly safe for use during pregnancy.
