Questions & Answers for Buxom Full-On™ Lip Polish

Question
Are these lip polishes gluten free?
Unfortunately I can't use any lip products that contain gluten since I have an allergy. I would really love to try these though so if anyone happens to know if they contain gluten or not it would be very helpful!

Thanks!

I read through the ingredients list, and it has a kind of Vitamen E that is usually derived from grain, so I would say that it's not gluten-free. I hope you can find another lip gloss that works for you! :)

Looking over the box from my most recent purchase and reading through the ingredients list on the company's website, I don't see anything gluten-wise.

Wow! Thank you for questioning the gluten-free status of this lip gloss because I can't have it either. I read labels diligently and never saw anything harmful to me with this lipgloss, but your questioning it drove me to the company website. I didn't see anything gluten-wise on the ingredients list. I also got the box out of my most recent purchase. Nothing there either.

I have fair skin and green eyes. I like Gabby. It is a light plum with lots of pink undertones. It is not a dark color. I have turned many of my friends of all skin types on to this color. They are addicted to buxom and Gabby is their favorite color.

Since "Claire" is a mauve color in the diamond finish, I'm guessing you'd like something shimmery. I think peach, coral, and pinkish rose shades would look great on someone with your coloring. I recommend the shades "Amber" (shimmering soft peach), "Destiny" (shimmery peach nectar), "Debbie" (coral pink shimmer) and "Leslie" (gilded pearl pinkish rose.) I hope this helps you! :)

Since you are currently wearing a mauve color, if you want to go a little darker, but still sheer, I just bought "STARR" and absolutely love it. It's a diamond raspberry color. But, I also have brown hair and love peach colors. I also have "AMBER" which has some sparkle, but not as much as the diamond. Amber is a soft shimmering peach. And I like the "CELESTE" which is a diamond sparkle in a glimmering soft peach.
Being some what the same coloring, I think you'd like these colors!
Hope this helps!
Honestly, with Buxom Lips, I really don't think you could go wrong with ANY color!!! :)

Question
I'm usually a pink lip type of girl but I really want a variety of gloss. I have fair skin so too bright or bold looks tacky. What color should I get?
I want to find a color other than pink that won't make my fair skin stand out too much or make me look like an alien.

I also have fair skin and wanted something other than my usual pink, so I bought Tonya, which is hot pink. I thought it would look too dark, but it turned out lighter than I expected, and now it's my absolute favorite color. Oh, and it actually works with my fair skin and doesn't make me look like a ghost.

I wear fair in be, and agent 00 in tarte. I do not look very good in colors that are not on the pink side since I have pink skin. I tend to get washed out by nudes. My favorite colors in buxom are Dolly, Claire (diamond-glitter and shine), Kanani, love the new Tonya, Betty (great red for fair skin, sheer but enough color to be red not pink), love Gabby (if you want a darker lip look, but apply sparingly). In the winter I like Raquel, but I usually sheer it out with Crystal. Love Crystal. Was never a clear gloss person until I actually went for it and bought one. Now I use clear gloss more than I use colored gloss, except for in the summer time.

I like buxom dolly - just a little pink - makes your lips pop without them being the prime focus of your face (I too am fair skinned)

This is not sheer in my opinion. I would describe it as in-between sheer and opaque. Not super dark, but not super light either. Slight sparkle, can be worn day or night.

Question
how saturated is the color?
I have naturally darker lips (sort of a dark rose shade) with fair skin, brown hair and green eyes. I like to subdue my natural lip color, does this product have enough color to do so? Which color/s would you recommend for this purpose?

I had the same worries, but I winged it and bought Katie. It really covered my lips and the shine/shimmer reflected the light to make them look much lighter. I think any of their light colors would work as well as Katie, though, cuz they all have perfect saturation.

It's not very saturated, but it does have a lot of glitter, which might make your lips look lighter. I am fair with a medium natural lip color, and found it a perfect match for my complexion.

Looks like Bambi's being discontinued. It's listed under the Last Chance section on the Bare Escentuals website. The tingling lasts for a while, then eventually goes away. It's not my favorite feature of the product, but it really does plump your lips.

It's kinda hard to describe, but I would say a vanilla/caramel smell and taste. But I've only tried the Tonya, Katie, and White Russian ones, so I can't speak for them all.

I have found that the gloss really does plump my lips and it's in a very nice way. Doesn't look fake at all. Just gives a little bit of extra oomph to your lips, but nothing that's going to scream fake or plastic lips. You won't look like you just had surgery or collagen injections if that's what you're worried about. It's just the perfect amount of plump, not over the top.

Definitely not. I have really full lips and have been using this forever, and all it does is make your lips look a bit bigger, and when you take it off, your lips look the same.

DEFINITELY does not OVER plump. I say this because I didn't know it was a plumper when I bought it, and already have full lips, so I almost returned it.....it's just a nice tingly sensation that makes your lips feel a LITTLE more full...not fake or too big. Hope this helps!!!! :)

Question
My favourtie color!
What happened to my favourtie color, Isabella? I'm on my last tube.

I ordered three in March 2011, because the Canadianstore no longer carries the color. To my great disappointment, the US stores no longer carry it.

I'm very unhappy with the with the reduced color-line.
