It's a gel and you don't need to apply very much to each cheek - just a dab (you can always add more). Then just blend with your fingertips. Sometimes I take my blush brush to blend any harsh lines, but there normally aren't any. Hope this helps!
I get the best result by using my fingertips. All you need is a tiny dot to get the effect you want. You really get your money's worth with this product. It feels like a powder when you apply it.

I use a wedge makeup applicator.

I prefer my fingers to apply the blush but it does go on okay with a sponge as well. It has a really nice smooth, satiny texture that spreads and blends very easy which makes blending a breeze.

It doesn't stain your fingers pink, just wash your hands when you are all done applying make-up. You only need a tiny amount...like the size of the letter"Q" on your keyboard...lol. I like it, I think it's a great invention, especially if you have trouble picking out blush color and you want a more natural look. It's not too pink, but it is in the pink shade of colors...it gives a natural, blushy doll like glow.

to apply... squeeze out a really small amount of it on your finger, then gently PAT it on your cheeks or the side of your cheek bones in circular motion. Then blend out harsh edges.. :)
i wouldn't recommend using a brush... it is easier to handle with your finger.

I use a finger and it goes on perfectly. Good luck!

I think it works best with fingers because I think the warmth and friction is what makes the color show up more.
This is a gel, not a liquid. The gel is formulated to react to your warmth to create the color. I'm not sure if a brush will give the warmth it needs to build the color. Also, you only need a small amount. Using a brush might waste the product.

I suppose you could try a brush but you may not get very good results. To have optimal control for blending I would stick with your fingers. I apply several small dots to one cheek and then blend quickly with my fingers to avoid having the product set before it is exactly where I want it.

i don't think you would be able to use a brush to apply this blush. i just use the tips of my fingers and blend in. it's easy, don't worry.
