I'm allergic to certain substances commonly used in cosmetics, so when I go to a cosmetic counter, I always ask to see the ingredient list on the package before I even try the product on. I've never had a sales person give me a hard time. After all, they don't want to sell you something and then have you return it because it's played havoc with your skin. That's a sure way to lose customers. Good luck!

I'm really light-skinned with very light freckles and it smoothes them out (but doesn't completely hide them). I think it all depends on the shade you get and how dark your freckles are.

Question
Which color would work best for me. I currently wear Estee Lauder Double Wear in 3N1 Ivory Beige.
I wear self tanner all year round so my skin tone is a medium-tan tone. I have pinkish undertones - but have found neutrals seem to work better for me. I have blond hair and hazel eyes.
Thank you for your help!

Question
Will this work on oily-acne prone skin?
I'm just trying to find a foundation that lightly covers but gets the job done, brings a glow to my face, moisturizes and does not make me break out.

In a nutshell: No! This particular foundation is meant for older women who have dry skin and who want medium to full coverage. If you're prone to breakouts, this one will be too occlusive for you. Try one of the other foundations for your skin type. All the Shiseido foundations give a soft luminous glow.

Question
correct color for me
I have dark brown hair and eyes and medium skin tone. I wear the color
"soft ivory" in "estee lauder" futurist brand. I've tried fair ochre and
look really washed out.
Also don't know if the lifting type is better or the duel balance. I'm 57 with
combination skin.

Give this foundation a try, but don't go too light on the color. I'm 65 and my skin looks maybe 45. Everyone asks me what foundation I use. The description of the product is dead on!

For me 040 is perfect, I have light to medium skin (natural is light, but I got sun or selftan on year around). if this would be too light than maybe 060 (B colors are pinkish).

I am blonde, with blue eyes and I have a fair to light complexion. The I20 works perfectly. The description of the product given by Shiseido explains it all and it's true. I also use the Shiseido The Makeup - wich they call to be the Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation in the I40 also applied lightly with a sponge (no water) to complement.

I know for sure that B40 has pink undertone, and 040 yellow. I40 might be neutral.

The natural fair beige B40, this will give you full coverage and will work well with your skin even if you tend to burn at times.
