I am extremely sensitive to tastes and smells. This product has absolutely NO taste. Only a nice, faint, pretty smell if you put your nose to the product. Note: This product is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation as an effective UV sunscreen.

Hi,

I don't notice a taste. My husband is very picky about kissing me with offensive lip products, and this didn't bother him in the least. It's great as a lip treatment, too at night.

Meh I don't think there's a "taste" per-se; maybe because it's white people get a "chalky" effect... The color makes me not want to taste it so I don't notice one way or another. I s'pose if it bothers you, you could layer a flavored lipgloss over it (it makes a great base.)

my skin in very sensitive, I brake out with anything that has essentionals oils, accepted Almond oil or olive oil or pettroleum based products. I am really sensitive to any chemical sunscreens. I can only use zinc oxide or titanium dioxide and fragranced free.

I really need something to protect my lips in the sun. I currently use EtlaMD products: Sun and moisterizers. And, Cetiphal. and Dove Fragranced free soap. Aquafor ointment around my eyes,,,,,only!

I'm going to Sephora in Downey tommorrow. I would like an answer before that. Thank you sooo much

I didn't save the box the lip treatment came in, so I can't answer your specific ingredient questtions. Check the Sephora webisite where I believe they list the ingredients. This product is very emollient, so it MIGHT contain the oils you don't want...I don't know. I also have fair and very sensitive skin and have not experienced any irritation at all.

Petroleum is oil. Zinc MYRISTATE is an ingredient. You need to write or call the company. The general publiic does not have access to the information you are asking. Many companies do not even list every ingredient they use. They're not required to, as it's not a food product you put in your body.

You should definitely purchase Shiseido's Sun Protection Lip Treatment with SPF 36. It feels great, stays on and protects your lips from the sun. You can also put your own lipstick over it for additional protection and color.

does this contain mint of any kind?

actually,I'm allergic to mint & a list of all your lip balms that are free of that chemical would be of great help. I've worn philosophy's kiss me in the clear for eons and they've just changed the formulation and it includes mint. Now I'm at a loss............lip balm addict, also living in the desrt southwest. My fibromyalgia makes me very chemically sensitive. Just another swell thing this hideous disease does to you.
Anyway, TIA......appreciate all your help.

no flavor whatsoever. Not tinted either, so you could wear a lipstick over a light application. This stays on my lips well, but I reapply after eating.

No, I'm almost positive it doesn't include mint. It doesn't taste like anything, and I've tried dozens of balms, chapticks, etc. and this is the only thing so far that has kept my lips from blistering and getting itchy in the sun

its an in part titanium dioxide sunscreen and emollients to keep lips soft and smooth with an added bonus of antioxidants.
two of the top active ingridents are octinoxate 7.4% and titanium dioxide 5%

Zinc Myristate is an ingredient. Go to the Shiseido site and request an ingredient list by e-mail, or write the company by mail and ask for details. Not all ingredients are listed on Make-Up. The rules and requirements are different than food items we consume.
