I wear this to work where I am in and out of salt water and sweating it up all day. I have never had this stuff irritate my eyes, and I slather it on all day long. I have very sensitive skin and this is the only sunscreen I haven't been allergic too, it's very gentle while maintaining the zinc content that gets the job DONE!

I also have sensitive eyes when it comes to sunscreens, and this is the only facial sunscreen I wlll use because of that. It is a mineral sunscreen, and I actually apply it to my eyelids and under my eyes with no problems.

Question
Can I use this around the eye area?
I'm considering buying Shiseido's Sun Protection eye cream, but it is quite pricey for such a small tube. Will this work just as well?

I love this product, but it does make my eyes sting at the end of the day when I am showering. It stings pretty bad, so I wouldn't recommend this for swimming. On that note, I have sweat while using it, and it usually doesn't get in my eyes then.

I 've used around the eye area and I have not encounterd any stinging, burninig, or redness of any sort. I suggest you try to get a sample if you can and gently dab it around one eye to see if you get any kind of reaction especially if you have sensitive skin.

You totally need an oil based sunscreen remover. Shiseido actually makes one, but Sephora doesn't sell it. However, I was looking and researching what the store actually carries, and Shu Uemura has an mineral oil based cleanser "Cleansing Beauty Oil" I think itls called. If you just use even a regular make up remover it WILL NOT remove the sunscreen. You may feel like it has come off, but trust me, there is a reason why it is such a great sunscreen, it STICKS! Tried skipping the oil based cleanser and could still feel the sunscreen on my skin. Good friend of mine is a pro make up artist, like Fashion Week caliber. She told me that a particular few ingredients in it cannot be taken off with normal cleansers. You only need a dime size or little more of the oil cleansers which aren't SUPER expensive to begin with (Shidseido one is $25 I think, Shu Uemura is like $30--but you only need a LITTLE), it's WORTH purchasing!

This product washes out normally--just use your usual facial cleanser and water to wash it out. I don't think you need use make up remover to get rid of it, but if you arent sure, then maybe try a facial scrub? But honestly, I've always just washed my face normally, and I havent had any issues before. :) Hope this helps!

During my vacation, I did not have much makeup with me and my only option was to take shower with soap, and it worked just fine to clean my skin from the lotion. I don't even think I was noticing it on my skin while it was there. It is very light and absorbs immediately.

Question
Sunscreen rash and breakout.
I'm very sensitive with sunscreen, I have not been able to use any sunscreen at all, only the day lotion with sunscreen up to SPF15. Anything more than that I would have rash, not exactly breakout, but tiny bumps that takes many days to disappear. The last sunscreen I tried was Aveeno. Does anyone has similar skin condition, if so, does this sunscreen cause any trouble? Thanks!

My skin is the same way. I've found that my skin usually only reacts to chemical sunscreen and are usually ok when I use physical sunscreen. Since this one is primarily physical, it might be worth a shot to try.

I have a very sensitive skin too. I have been tried so many sun block lotion for my face and most of them left me with acne or gave such a thick layer, greasy feeling on my face. However, this one has a light, nice smell and gave me non-greasy, moisture feeling for my skin. And yes.. It protect my face from the sun very very well.. Try them.. If you do not like it, you can return it back to sephora and buy something else...

I also have sensitive skin: mild rosacea and eczema. I haven't had a reaction to this product. The main ingredient is zinc oxide, which is a mineral sunblock that's more gentle than chemical ones. Why don't you ask for a sample and try it for a few days to make sure it works for you before purchasing?

"Oil" is not very descriptive. You are likely looking for something that is non-comedogenic and will not clog pores.

Question
what is the percent of active ingredients?
other sunblocks promote things such as the percent of their particular active blocking ingredient (such as zinc oxide, octtinoxate, titaniumoxide etc...) what is the reason for me to buy shiseido sun protection if I don't know the %. I tan very very easy even with sunblocks on and was looking into yours but I can't compare it to any other product.

The % for active ingredients (zinc oxide etc) is shown under the ingredients tab for this product. This shiseido sun screen has a high % of physical sun blocks, which won't breakdown due to sun exposure, plus a chemical sun block. A great combo with high protection factor and in a very wearable format/consistency.
