answer 1
Each sheet has a fold that runs down the middle, the sheet should open towards you like a book, with the fold pointing away from you. Hope that helps!

Actually it is kind of tough to tell.... I can sorta "feel" the powder on one side and I can rub off a little on my finger that helps me tell the difference... I love these .... this is my HG blotting sheet from now on.

I struggled with this at first. The more solidly white side is the powdered side. I figured it out by wiping it on a piece of black cloth. One side will leave more powder when you touch it to the black cloth--I found that to be the solidly powdered side.

answer 4
The side facing down in the package (I believe its solid white) is the side that absorbs the oils on your face.

When I first bought this product (at a dept. store, more than 10 years ago), the associate told me that you're supposed to put the non-powdered side against your skin. It seems counter-intuitive, but the idea is that the powder, which is NOT touching your skin, will "pull" the oil from your skin and through the paper. In other words, the powder is absorbing the oil, but you don't end up with oily powder stuck to your skin. So I would use the non-powdery-looking side against the skin. If you're not sure which side is powdered and which isn't, lightly run your finger over a corner of the sheet. If you get residue on your finger, that's the powdered side, and you don't want that residue, mixed with oil (ick!) on your face! Use the other side.

answer 6
The side with the crease in it that would fold together if you did fold it in half has the powder on it. The outside is more rice-paper looking and the "powder" side is more solid blue. I hope this helps!

It is the solid looking side that has the powder. Also, it's always the side that is down when you pull the sheet out. Hope this helps, good luck!
