Questions & Answers for Rosebud Perfume Co. Minted Rose Lip Balm

Question
Is this the best lip balm for Rosebud?
I just ned a balm to moisturize my lip for a long time and make them really soft. I dont want white goop on my inner lips. I want it to give shine and a little bit of color. I am going to use it in place of my favorite lip gloss at times like when i go to the gym or practice instead of being really done up.

Okay, so from Sephora you can get Smith's Minted Rose Rosebud Salve or in flavours Original or Strawberry. They add a little bit of shine, shimmer, relieve pains, prevent chapped lips or cracking lips, gloss and it's good for not only lips but if you have burns or dry elbows or knees then you can apply a bit there too. It helps and soothes basically everywhere. The only thing it doesn't have that you want a bit of is it doesn't add a bit of colour. It adds maybe a drop or a touch but not anything extremely noticable. I hope that doesn't change anything! You can buy it online or at Sephora stores too. It's just great :). Hope this helps!

Yes, ma'am! This is your balm! It smells awesome; the mint gives your lips a little tingle but the rose keeps it from being too potent. It will make your lips shiny but not goopy, and give you a natural rosy-red colour (like the colour of your lips, only better). It softens and last a long time. Do it up, this is the best gloss ever!

This product definitely has all the qualities you are looking for. Lightweight, non-waxy, slightly tinted, long-lasting. Also, for $7, it is quite a lot of product for the money. It works perfectly as a casual gloss for everyday activities.

Yes, the minted one tastes good and tingles slightly (but not tingly like a lip plumper since those kind of sting). If you aren't big on mint the strawberry is a sheerer, paler pink and tastes good too.

The Minted Rose makes your lips tingle a little because of the mint, and the tint is a bit darker. I find the glossiness of it different than the original. It seems less thick, while still providing enough moisture and a glossy finish. Personally, I like this one better than the original!

Yes, it is different in that it has a peppermint base. So, it your lips are chapped, or skin is sensitive, it relieves the burn, softens. But like the original it's thick, so a little bit goes a long way. Use sparingly.

Question
When will this be back in stock?
Could you please tell me when this will be back in stock, it seems that so many of the lip products (I wanted the Clinique $12. lip balm) are temp out of stock. Take them down from the site temp so people don't waste time looking at them only to find out that they are not available. Something should be done about the long times that it does take to get some of these items back in stock. It is winter so lip products are more in demand. The sephora brand that was advertised for 4.00 was out, the mint rosebud salve was out 7.00, the clinique 12.00 lip balm was out. When will at least one of these be restocked.

I have been purchasing it since say 2011, which isn't a long time but noticed around late 2012/early 2013 that the few I purchased from a Sephora store in NYC were 'orangey' instead of the initial batch I bought in 2011 (like 3/4 which me lasts a year) was a rosey/pinkish color. I thought they changed the formula but recently purchased another batch in NYC (jan. 2014) that was back to the rosey/pinkish color. I noticed ALL the ones they had were of the pink sort (i was going to buy them out if need be! bc I don't like the orangey one) bc of the lettering. I also noticed of the orange ones the lettering was larger (on the front of the tin) than the pink ones. So my guess is that it has to do with a batch that came out during the 2012/early 2013 period bc the store in NYC I frequented keep 'fresh' stock.

I bought mine a year or so ago and didn't notice that. It is possible they changed the formula, but in any case, I would take it back. You don't want perfume on your lips, you want the essence of mint oil. This is a great product, but I hate the packaging. it is tough to pry this tin open (why can't we have screw top or a quick twist hinge to open it??!). Trust your instincts and return it. Even if they don't believe you, you know what it smells like to you and you won't use it.

Borax?
When I look at the ingredients list for the product I see - Borax listed? But it is not listed on the container that I have at home; the ingredients on the container are listed as: petrolatum, peppermint oil, cottenseed oil, and proprietary blend of oils (the perfume base).

Did they start adding borax recently? Or does Sephora have access to a more accurate ingredients list?
