i think the spray is just to make it easier/faster to apply, so yes i would say you could use a cotton pad

I spritz my face. I have come to find that because of my dry/senstiveskin that using a cotton ball actually irritates and causes redness, so I avoid doing that wherever I can.

I personally think either would work but I love the experience of the spritz!! It is so much more refreshing. Plus, this isn't really a toner but really a mister so I would mist if you could. If the bottle is too big to carry around get a smaller mister bottle so you can take with you on the airplane, etc. Enjoy!

Using the spray is better. I've tried it with a cotton ball and you end up spraying entirely too much product in order to get the cotton ball damp. I like the way the spray feels on my face and it's so refreshing.

You could definitely use a cotton ball, but if you're using it purely as a skin toner, I'd look for something a little more "specialized." I think the appeal with this product is the fact that it's portable (can be used over makeup without ruining it) & cooling on-the-go. It's good for your skin but probably not the best bare-skin toner you can buy for the money.

I don't know why you couldn't apply it with a cotton ball if you preferred - but it really does feel great to just "spritz" and you can even do that over your makeup.

I just spray until I feel my entire face is covered and wet then I wipe it with a cotton round (not ball they absorb to much) and then put a serum on while the skin is still damp. Thats how the skin absorbs it, it works better. Good luck

It smells just like red tea, so a slight smell, but not sweet at all. I love the light scent, but its not over powering at all.

Yes. It's a fresh citrus scent that is revitalizing and not overpowering. It also doesn't last so you don't walk around smelling like fruit.

Yes it does have a scent and personally I don't like the scent, I can't put my finger on what it smells like but a lot of people do think it smells nice. Its all about personal preference but it definitely has a smell.

Question
Does the sprayer mist all over your face?
I apply a similar face mist on AFTER i have applied my makeup, but because I have read that a lot of people take off the spray cap and just use a cotton ball, I was wondering if the sprayer does not mist your face but instead sprays in a concentrated area. Also, if you have tried any of the other Ole Henriksen mists, it would be great to have your input. Thanks!

I usually spray twice when setting make-up. It does mist your face, but I don't feel like it covers my entire face with one spritz. I don't know why people feel the need to use cotton balls...

Question
does it keep skin clear?
I am looking for a toner than won't irritate my sensitive skin, but that will also keep it clear and prevent pimples and such. Does this toner help keep skin clear or does it have a different use? Thanks.

Definitely does not cause break outs. I'm not sure if it necessarily clears up pimples but definitely helps soothe the redness and speed up the healing process. Great for my acne-prone skin.

Ole H. has a web site. Please peruse it. Lots of info as to use of all products. It's not just one product. You need to use a combination of his products. All I can tell you is my skin is soft, youthful looking, and I wouldn't be without Ole's toner, moisturizers, eye cream, morning skincare regimen and night skincare regimen....
