Questions & Answers for bareMinerals bareMinerals Faux Tan All-Over Face Color

Question
faux tan, warmth, or a little sun?
what is the difference between warmth, faux tan, and a little sun? do you use them all the same way? i've never used a bronzer, so i'm not sure exactly how to do it the right way without looking weird.

I have used all 3, and warmth is my least favorite. I have pale skin, and warmth is too dark for me. That being said, I absolutely love Faux Tan & A Little Sun. I've gotten compliments on both. I can't decide which one I like more. A Little Sun I think is a little better for everyday use (although I have worn Faux Tan year-round), and it's a shimmery color unlike Faux Tan.

I use warmth all year round, faux tan only in the summer. The sun is not good for your skin, so I try to avoid it all the time by using sunscreen. Having spent my youth baking in the sun, I now am trying to be more careful and this line of cosmetics lets you feel as tho you have a healthy glow without the worries.

Warmth has a lot more orange to it. Faux tan has no orange to it so it's easier to layer it on without looking like you had a bad experience with some self tanner. I don't know anything about A Little Sun, but it sounds like something to try. I WOULD NOT wear all of them together, it will just look like bad self tanner I think.

I feel like this bronzer is actually one of the few that does not look orange. Just use sparingly or it gets real dark!

There is nor orange tint to this AT ALL! It really is quite subtle. I have fair skin and have to layer this a few times all over before I get the color results I want. If you want just a little of that sun-kissed look, this is the color to get (BE Warmth gives a much more noticeable tanned look)

I use the largest, fullest brush I have and only use it for the warmth or faux tan. I brush it on the cheekbones and the bridge of my nose first and then go lightly over the rest of my face, neck, and ears. (to make it blend in so there is not a strong line of tan to pale)

Apply the Faux Tan with a large fluffy brush, but make sure your swirl and tap off the excess or it will be too dark.

I have used the products over a tinted moisturizer, but I wouldn't go any thicker than that. The whole reason you would use these products is too have a more natural looking finish. I think that if you want alot of coverage you might be happier with something else.

I apply moisturizer before my Faux Tan, so you can apply over liquid foundation. Just make sure, like I do, that your face is dry before applying the powder or otherwise it will streak or clump to the moist areas.

I have uber sensitive skin and unfortunately after 3 weeks of use and some small signs of irritation I now have a nasty rash on my face. This was the only new product I was using, and now that I've stopped my face is starting to clear up. All other BE products have been great, I'm bummed this one didn't work out.

Bareminerals is known for being formulated without all those harmful chemicals. Out of all the makeup out there this is probably the best for sensitive skin. Clinique is good for that as well.

Question
Do you use tinted Mineral Veil over the Faux Tan?

So I'm not quite sure if you're asking which product you should choose or which order to put them on so I will try and answer both. I would say the tinted mineral veil would be better for all over color and the bronzer is better for just those places on your face where the sun would usually hit that you want a little extra color and contouring. As far as which order I find it best to use your mineral veil, then bronzer, and then blush if you wish. That you're not washing out your colors with the powder.
