It's not as sparkly or intense at most UD, but holds up well all day, worth the $

This shadow is talc free if that's a concern of yours for sensitive skin or for avoiding possible harmful ingredients. I don't use those other brands generally but this one looks great! It's long lasting and richly pigmented.

In my experience, Urban Decay deluxe shadows look bold in the tin and sheer on my lids. It also travels despite the awesome power of Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I have Urban Decay deluxe shadow in Graffiti and Shady Lady in Shameless Shana.

I have tons of shadows from Stila and Urban Decay but recently have fallen in love with TheBalm! Stila's eyeshadows are very hit or miss. Kitten is one of my fav colors but many of their shadows barely show up and are very muted. Urban Decay is great but I'd have to say I'm really loving TheBalm!! The shadows are highly pigmented, long lasting and I feel like the colors are more wearable.

I'm totally in love with urban decay!!! Love, love, love the naked palette; and I have mowie wowie, urban cowboy rides again, and a few others. I have a few from stila (kitten and wheat) and a huge color palette they had at Costco at Christmas. Urban decay is the best because it has a lot of colors and intensities of glitter and shimmer, and matte.

Wow - thanks for the answers! Since I asked it a while ago, I have now had the chance to try all 3 and yes, Shady Lady is the bomb! I do think UD ranks up there, but I'm not a big Stila fan - maybe I got a bad palette (the Red Carpet palette). Of the three, Shady Lady seems to have more pigmentation and staying power... I'm happy w/ the choice! Thanks again, answer-ers!!!

No, they are much larger than MAC shadows (and, therefore a really good value!) The ones in the palettes might but the individual shadows - waaay too big.

answer 7
No, I don't think so. Too big for the MAC eyeshadow palette and possibly too small for the blush palette. However, if you get the ShadyLady palette, the eyeshadows may fit because they are smaller.

I wouldn't say a brown , more like a khaki with a dark olive green hue. It really looks more khaki/mushroom based with olive green infused

One option is to google TheBalm "All About Alex" and look under 'images' at the top of the screen - it should have some photos private people have taken of the color swatch on their arms. Look at a few and see how they compare... if they look consistent, this will be a far more accurate way of getting a good visual description. I don't know if this will help, but it's a viable option if you don't live near a store. If you do, go in and try it, b/c the colors on the screen rarely match up in reality... I got the Balmbini palette (no longer around... meep) and Jealous Jordana looks NOTHING like the picture on this site (thank all that is holy). I will never solely go by images on screen before buying online. Hope that helps.
