Question
Do you wash face first?
I LOVE this product, but I don't have instructions. Do you cleanse your face before applying? Also, do you just wipe off and then moisturize, etc., or do you wash it off?

The directions on mine said to wash your face first. Apply and lightly rub in (you look a little like a ghost when finished). I leave it on overnight and then wash it off in the a.m. The directions said to use it twice a week only.

Wash and dry your face. Leave on for 15 minutes, and rinse product from your face. I use my regular moisturizer afterward. I've read other readers who claim it's rich enough that they don't need to moisterize afterward. I
guess it just depends on your skin type, and how your skin feels after you've washed it off.

I LOVE the smell too! It's very nourishing and soothing.

I had the same questions since I got mine in a set and called the help line. They advised to wash face first, not afterwards, since it could irritate the skin afterwards. Rub it on like a thick moisturizer, and give it 15 - 20 minutes before removing with a damp cloth. Then splash your face with water to remove any excess and blot with a towel. Let your face "calm down" a few moments before applying any moisturizers.

The Instructions read: " Apply to dry skin, wait for 15 minutes and rinse off. Use once or twice a week. " I suggest cleaning your face before applying... I think it will help penetrate the skin better on a clean face.

Yes, you wash your face with a cleanser. When you dry it, apply the mask, leave it on for 10-15 mins (this mask does not change consistency, i.e. it does not dry out on the face like other masks). Then, rinse with water. It is great for hydration.

wash/cleanse your face first and use a toner (if you do regularly) and then put this on. distribute it relatively evenly. you don't need alot though. it will dry quickly and it will look clearish white on your skin. leave on for 15 minutes.. i leave it on for longer for more results but thats up to you. then, rinse off with warm water (no soap necessary). make sure it's all off.

Question
How do I use this product?
I got this in a bigger kit of Korres stuff and it didn't have any directions on it. I slathered it on like I would anyother mask, but it didn't really get hard or tighten. Is this meant as a spot treatment that I rub in (gathered from comments) or what?

You use it as an all-over mask, typically applied once or twice a week, depending on your preference. Leave it on for about 15 minutes (it won't get hard) before washing off and using your regular moisturizer.

You apply it to just cleansed skin; dry off your face. Slather on just a bit, because a little goes a long way. Leave on for 15 min. and wash off. Use once or twice weekly. It does not tighten or harden, but towards the end of the 15 minutes it is a bit tacky on the skin. You do not rub it in. Just apply it to face and neck. Good Luck!

I use it as an all over mask treatment once (maybe twice) a week. True it doesn't harden like a clay or mud mask, but after about 15 minutes it feels more dry than when you put it on. If you touch it, it doesn't rub off as easily as it was when it was put on. After about 15 minutes just rinse with warm water and your done.

Hi there. I would say this isn't a normal mask. Clay masks usually tighten the skin. This is more of a brightening mask. I grab about enough to fit on two finger tips and spread it around the face until I have a decent white coat. It doesn't need to be a heavy pure white coat. Just enough so that you can tell the product is all over the skin. Give it about 15 minutes and then wash it off. My skin instantly looks better after this product. Sometimes I leave it on for a few minutes longer because it is very soothing.

I just purchased this mask recently - alone, not as a set. I typically cleanse my face, exfoliate it, then use the mask. It does not harden but you can tell after about 15-20 minutes that it's not as damp, so that's when I rinse it off. I follow up with a moisturizer. If you use a toner or special product (anti-aging or acne) then I'd do that before you moisturize.

It is ridiculous that they don't include this on the bottle- but you apply a thin layer, leave it on for 15 or so minutes and then rinse it off. Also you are supposed to use it 1-2 times a week. (I go for twice a week)

Layer it on like a thick moisturizer. It will stay creamy the whole time with a texture like cream cheese spread, and after about 15 - 20 minutes wipe it off gently with a damp cloth, and then splash your face to remove any excess and blot with a towel. Wash your face prior to the mask, not afterwards, because washing after the mask may irritate the skin. Hope that helps! (I had the same issue, and called the help line and that is the advice they gave me!) :)

The info on the pakage does not say it's non-comedogenic; it says it's dermatologically tested, it's silicone and mineral oil free and free of propylene glycol and ethanolamine free (don't know what those mean)

It does contain wild Rose oil, argan tree oil, shea butter, avocado butter and provitamin B5.

Perhaps a sample if you can get one from the Deparment store would be the best test of whether you will break out or not. It's a bit pricey if it doesn't work for you, but Sephora has a return policy if you can't find it at a Department store.

Good Luck!

This won't create breakouts as in acne, but it does have a healthy dose of Vitamin C that can cause an irritated reaction in super-sensitive skin. I have uber-sensitive skin and get rashy bumps with a lot of products - this didn't give me those bumps, but it did burn and turn my cheeks red. If you are already using other brightening products, maybe try the Yogurt mask for the hydration and healing without the Vit C?

I think it would be a good idea not to leave it on overnight. It is a very gentle product but it does not dry on your face, so you would more than likely get it everywhere. Also I don't think it would be good to leave any face mask on overnight unless it specifically says to do so.

This is not oil free as it contains the wild rose oil. Also this is not a drying mask. It's very hydrating, even after you have it on for a while it will still feel moist on your skin not dry. If you are concern with the rose oil causing breakouts it probably won't, just use it 1x a week if you have oily skin. I have acne prone skin and this has not caused any breakouts.

Good for clearing skin?
I noticed this says it's good for discolorations. I have old blemish marks and I was wondering, is this good for clearing occasional blemishes and fading marks from old blemishes? Also, does this help to keep skin clear? I am trying to decide between this or the pomegranite mask by Korres and the Skin Clearing Mask by Kate Somerville. Thank you.

I use it on my age spots. I was born with 3 beauty marks on my face.
Now I have added about 3 more age spots! From sun damage, especially to left side of face from when I drive. Directions recommend usage 1-2 times a week. I use under make primer as a spot treatment. As I dont use concealer. It is a great price and in my opinion Korres' best product. I also recommend Givenchy's Vaxin, which is my favorite product. Good Luck!

I believe such I have blemishes from the sun as well, that when you brighen the skin, your flaws "brighten" with it as well. It looks very natural and not as if you bleached your skin. I've witnessed women using this overseas but without the label and ingredients..just a sample bottle with no literature. I didn't trust to use it cause I didn't know what it contained, but I'm glad there is such product that PROVED instant results along with literature on ingredients. I was soo curious on how women in such a tropical climate of 118 degree's Farenhite in the Medterrinian maintained bright skin?? They applied this at night time, washed off after 10 minutes, and apply sunscreen diligently the following day to avoid an "opposite" effect. I invested in the higher brand lines such as Clarins, and Shesiedo which do work but "with time". This one gave me an immediate result inside the store!! I went in seeking yet another product but without buying the whole line...THIS ONE DID IT! I applied it on my hand and it ultimately brightened in only 10 minutes after wiping it off!! I LOVE IT! Hope this was helpful. Good Luck!

They are both great. It depends on your price range. If your not looking to spend as much money, I would highly recommend the Korres one. I love mine. Actually, you can definitely go into sephora and ask for samples of each one, and see which one you like better. I have tried both and I personally prefer Korres Wild Rose Mask over the Fresh one. Korres' mask will penetrate into your skin and give you that brightening effect immediately. When you wash it off, you'll notice your skin is baby soft and hydrated. The Fresh rose mask, is more watery with rose petals in it. I feel like it just sits on my face and after washing it off, I see no difference. All in all, the Korres rose mask does more in terms of hydrating and immediate results. This is just my 2 cents, hope it helps you! :)
