Hello,

It does not help with dark spots on your hands. It is meant to hydrate and smooth your cuticles.

This product is a "Nourishing Anti-oxidant hand and nail cream", so it does nothing for brown spot reduction or other cover up mechanisms.

answer 12
Doubtful, as it doesn't claim to be a lightening or anti-aging product other than generally protecting skin from further aging with hydration. I certainly wouldn't buy it for the purpose of removing brown spots, but it's a nice general hand cream.

I haven't noticed any lightening effect for dark spots. Do think that the hydration has helped my hands not look so "old", which is a great improvement for me.

I have some freckles but I notice no visible difference other than skin nourishment. For my skin I saw no other effects.

answer 11
Grape polyphenols (which all Caudalie products have) are excellent at shutting down free radicals that cause cellular/skin damage. I haven't seen a reduction in freckles on my hands, but no increase either.
This is an amazing moisturizer, not a lightening product.

Try Klein-Becker's Strivectin Hand Cream, if you really want to see a change: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P150703&categoryId=B70

Question
Alternative at lower price???
I love this cream. It is heavenly! However, one tube lasts me about 2-3 weeks. I use it everytime I wash hands, as they get super dry otherwise. I would love to find something similar - non greasy hand lotion that I can throw as a back up in my car, desk drawer, etc. I will keep buying Caudalie, but I also need a cheaper alternative. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!

I love the lavender hand lotion from TJs as an alternative. I keep that one near my sinks for after washing/gardening. The claudlie I save for once or twice a day application.

I'm in the same boat as you. Love the Caudalie, got hooked back when they did a ridiculous sale at $9. I've actually been loving the Soap and Glory hand food. It's cheap relative to Caudalie and I find that it soaks into my skin very fast. It also smells great! They have small sizes by the checkout for $5 so you can try without risking hating it.

The new formula has a strong musky smell.
The old one was awesome, the new one is strong and after you scrub it off the smell lingers....and lingers :(

The new version definitely has a stronger scent. I liked the old scent a lot more because it's very subtle and doesn't effect allergies. The new one is a bit overwhelming.

Sadly, the reformulated scent is very bitter & synthetic compared to the original. I've been using this cream for probably 7 years now so why they would choose to change the scent after so long makes no sense to me. (I will still buy it though because it really is an effective product.)

I have a feeling it's being discontinued as I worked for the brand before and it was out of stock and not being replenished and because the Vine Body Butter, in the same line, is on sale which only happens when it's being discontinued. I suggest calling your local Sephoras and stocking up or buying on Caudalie's website.
