The best thing to do is go to your nearest Sephora and actually try out some of the shades. It's hard to figure out which one matches your skin unless you smear some of it on your face (and ideally see yourself in daylight). The employees at Sephora are usually pretty good about helping you find the right one, especially if you're debating between two different shades (like me). Good luck!

When covering hyper-pigmentation , you need to use a concealer that's close to the color of the spot and blend it in with your foundation.This takes a lot of blending but it's worth it.

When you go to the Make Up For Ever page, under the "Learn more about the brand," there's a link to a "Shade finder"--that should help a bit...otherwise, look at all the shades available and try to figure out which one is closest to your skin tone. I bought the Full Cover concealer for hyperpigmentation too, and I just looked at the colors and figured out which one it was. i'd call up the sephora people at a store or the online number and ask for tips on picking a concealer--if you have dry skin, I'd look for a creamier formulation, perhaps from a different brand. If you can swing it, try ordering a few shades you THINK might work across several brands and then return the ones that don't work. It's hard to find an exact color match with concealers so some people just use their foundation on top of it. Good luck!

I think you should definitely go into Sephora and try it on if you can. The coverage is so strong, that even if it's slightly off, it will be obvious. Bring your favorite finishing powder with you so you can see how it will look in real life. HTH.

Since moles are very very pigmented parts of the skin, probably nothing will cover it completely. You can try, but there will always be a little darkness under the concealer, and you might just end up looking concealer-caked.

No, it does not mean to not apply over a primer and YES, use a primer. Primers are always good to help keep makeup in place and last longer. Makeup free face just means no foundation or mineral powder (or whatever you use as your coverage). Apply this before foundation. To be honest, some people actually apply concealer after foundation. It really depends on what you like better. I prefer before. I hope this helped!

I ALWAYS use a primer and I use a primer under this. I haven't noticed a problem. I feel like the primer helps it stay on. I sometimes even use this over foundation or tinted moisturizer and still have not had any issues. It may give more coverage if put on without primer, but I haven't tried that.

i wouldn't put it over primer if you truely want it to be water proof. Do the spot treatment with it and only use the primer on the other parts of the face.

You absolutely can put it on over a primer. I actually even use it on top of my foundation sometimes too. Moisturizing helps create a nice surface for your primer and foundation, and then you can use just the smallest ammount on your ring finger or a makeup brush to apply the concealer. I prefer using my ring finger and then just lightly tapping the product onto imperfections to blend.

It's best to stick with the lighter shade than the darker one as this concealer gets a tiny bit darker as it dries.

Get the #6 , I'm the same shade as you for the lift concealer.

I use both #6 and #8. I mix a little of each on my hand to get the color I need. You only need a tiny amount as the coverage with this is very full!

I always recommend that you go into the store and ask for assistance in terms of finding a matching colour. However, if there is no Sephora near by and you have no other choice but to order on line my recommendation is to order 2 shades that you think would match your skin tone and mix.

using a brush or sponge would waste the product, and because it's so tiny with such a high price, your safest bet is to use clean hands. After washing, place a small dot onto your weakest finger of your right hand (ring finger!) and tap the dat into the area you want to cover. DO NOT RUB! just gently tap, if you rub, you'll rub the concealer off before it has time to dry. For more coverage, let the first layer dry and and then apply a second one in the same manner....the secret is in the light tapping. also, don't use hevaily, think "sparingly", a little concealer goes a long way and you don't want to end up looking cakey in some areas.

Definitely use your hand. You need to "work it" a bit to blend it in, so the warmth and pressure of your fingers is perfect.

No, this will not make you break out unless you have an allergic reaction to the product and as long as you have good hygeine and wash your face at least 1x a day (2x is ideal to keep pores clean).

I'm in my 30's but have occasional breakout. When using this product I find it covers ALL imperfections! A little tip: spackle the product to build the coverage where needed, then feather out the edges... good luck! :)

I use the palette & I am a big fan. The benefit of it is that it is easy to transport (I keep it in my purse) & apply on the go, it doesn't bleed, & it is good for spot coverage. It lasts fairly well - about as well as any concealer I've tried. I have fair, mostly clear skin, but it can be dry which makes concealer look obvious & fake. So I prefer the palette because when I have a spot I want to cover I can just use a small , firm-bristled pointed brush to apply concealer to JUST the spot. Then I lightly (lightly!) tap my finger on it to blend. I think that the full cover concealer is best if you have more serious or large discolorations like burns or scarring - so, long story short, if you are covering up a couple of little pimples, go with the palette, if you are covering something that takes up more skin, use the concealer.

I like this better because out of the palette, I only use 2 colors at the most so this is really a better value for me and I prefer liquid to cream concealers because they are more blendable.

I've used both. The palette, I think, is a better value since you get more colors, which was perfect for me in the summer as my skin is never the same color twice. But this is better at covering under-eye issues. I have both dark circles, and bags (I'm 22) that I got because I lost in the family's genetic lottery. Other relatives have had theirs removed, and I use this. This makes the skin under my eyes look the same shade as the rest of my face AND it decreases the appearance of any under-eye puffiness to boot! It also doesn't flake or wear off. It's the only concealer I've ever used that stay on ALL DAY without fading or rubbing off. It's expensive as all heck, I know, but totally worth it. You could always ask a Sephora associate for a sample so you could try it out--that's what I did. I'm pale but with lots of yellow undertones (think traditional Asian skintone) and #6 is my perfect shade.

Definitely Flesh 4! I am 120 in the HD foundation as well and when I paired it with Flesh 4, it gave me great coverage and is slightly lighter than the foundation, so it brightens up underneath your eyes.

I'd suggest Ivory #2, but it's not sold on Sephora's website. You have to call a Sephora store and order it from there. But, seems like this might be a good choice for you. There's Sephora stores in most large cities, so it shouldn't be difficult to locate one close to you.

I have freckles and while I don't use this concealer to cover ALL of my freckles, I do use it to conceal two larger dark freckles on my face. This concealer makes them vanish! I do think that this concealer would cover freckles, but it may be time consuming to apply if you have a lot that you want to cover.

I have dark chicken pock marks on my face and it covers that, so I imagine it would work on freckles. Also this concealer is light enough that it wouldn't feel cakey to use on large parts of your face. I'm guessing your freckles cover a bit of space on your face.
