Questions & Answers for Too Faced Starry-Eyed Liquid Eyeliner

Question
This is a gift, what color should I get?
My best friend has blue eyes, pale-ish skin (im also getting her the snow bunny bronzer) and highlighted blonde hair... anybody know what color eyeliner to get? (I have brown eyes so I have no idea what looks good with blue eyes)

Since your friend has light hair, eyes, and skin, I would go for a rich color instead of a pastel, because that could look a little funny! I would get her the Restraining Order or the Stalkerazzi so it would really pop and have a contrast. I hope she loves it!! :)

I seem to nearly fit your friend's description! I have fair skin, blonde hair, and green eyes. I just bought Drunk Dial yesterday, and I would highly recommend it. I would imagine that this would look even better with blue eyes! Online it looks like it might be too much, but in-store and in person, it looks fantastic. I think that the simple application works best- a cat-like single line on a bare eyelid with mascara and a brow bone highlighter (like High Beam by Benefit).

Also, for your brown hair, I think that the lavender liner would look nice for you! I was going to buy it, but my consultant said that the color would pop more on a brunette. Hope that this helps!

If she likes a more glam, intense look, I would try one of the metallic black or silver ones, like Ooh and Aah, Restraining Order, or Silver Lining. If she prefers a less harsh look, pastels always look pretty with blue eyes! You could try Mad Mad Love or Superfreak. I personally think bright blue with blue eyes looks a little funny, so I wouldn't buy her Drunk Dial...but these are all just my opinions :)

Question
Too-faced or Urban Decay
I want a good quality that lasts. Which brand at Sephora would you recommend, the Too Faced Starry-Eyed liner or Urban Decay's Heavy Metal Liners? They both have great colors and are close to the same price. Has anyone compared the two?

Hi,

I really liked this Starry-Eyed better. I've used both but this was a softer look, but still had the glamour and drama to it. It looked richer and more expensive and just better all around. I did use it over regular eye liner which was used for defining my eyes.

The other thing I love about this is that I cryed a lot when I had it one (graduation event for one ofo our kids) and it didn't budge at all.

Hope that helps.

Well I have both kinds, and I love them equally. Here are a few differences to help you out:

UD: 18$ for 0.25 oz. Med sized wand, and brush. Glitter is a little more finely ground. Not really conditioning.

TF: 17.50$ for 0.14 oz. Large sized wand and brush. Glitter is a little more chunky. Lash conditioning.

Since they are mostly interchangeable, it's probably a better idea to get Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liner, because you get more bang for your buck.

Too Faced for sure. The coverage is a LOT better than UD. UD is sort of thin (doesn't have as much glitter on the wand as TF) and it's hard to get good coverage. These stay put and you don't really need a second layer, but if you do layer it there won't be any smudging or clumps.

I luv Two-faced liner. It goes on so smoothly and effortlessly without looking too "hard" and stays on all day. All my sparkle liners are now Two-faced.

Question
What colour should I use?
I have deep green eyes, fair skin and dark brown hair. I usually use a dark purple liner, but I really like the idea of all the glitter. Since there is no purple, which colour would look best?

Pink or Green should highlight green eyes for me I have green eyes as well and the green glitter meshes with ur eye color and makes them pop. You can try combinations. Gold also looks good on green eyes. Give it a shot. God Bless

It's a medium shade so try it with darker greens to make it "pop" more. It'll look good with pretty much anything, though; it's a very pretty shade of green. Try it with their Label Wh*re shadow, too!

I have Restraining Order and it DOES have multi-color glitter. My only problem is that all I see is glitter? I can't see the actualy color from the eyeliner so all I really see is glitter?!? I double and triple layer it to see if the color comes out but it's faint. Maybe mine was a fluke :/ Better luck with yours. The glitter is pretty and I put it on over a different color.

I also have brown eyes than change between light and dark brown. I got the silver since all of my jewelry is silver but then ran back in and bought the gold. They both look awesome, I would definitely get both. It's clear so you can put it over a darker eyeliner.
