Peeling? Are we talking serious snake-skin like peeling (like 2 passes of chemical peel would be?)?

I know chemical peels (esp with more than one pass) can be intense and cause a great deal of peeling and skin shedding--Is this product going to cause that kind of peeling or is it much milder?

I wouldn't say "snake" peeling at all! Just use a good moisturizer after u use the product. I have never had any peeling. Just make sure u use a high SPF moisturizer because ur skin is very sensitive to sun after using this product

It's no where near that level of potency...a little shedding of skin (and that was after leaving it on 2 mins past the prescribed 5!). But the result is beautiful and won't leave you feeling like a snake...maybe a little pink but snake...no!

Trust me, you won't actually peel from this, in fact you won't have any irritation at all--which is my gripe with this--it' doesn't really do anything, and half of what you pay for is the "soothing solution" which I have only used once and do not like nearly as well as my own Bliss moisturizer. I am very disapointed with this product.

The nice part of this system is you control the results. If you are reckless and leave on too long I am sure peeling would occur. But one of the things I really like about this is how affective and gentle it is. I will peel slightly but not noticeably.

Please use as directed (once a week and not in conjunction with other exfoliating products) to avoid any "snake-like" peeling. If you have had a glycolic peel before, then the results would be similar however remember that over the counter treatments are always less potent than those offered by your esthetican or dermatologist.
If you have ultra-sensitive skin or are prone to areas of excessive dryness, please be cautious and use it with half of the frequency recommended.

That really depends on your skin type and the products' strength so it's a difficult question to answer. Since this product comes in a pump versus pre-measured or single dose unit, you may be able to modify the amount of product used for both the peel portion and then the soothing gel. With this product I did find that the soothing gel was enough instead of some others, where I would have to supplement.

I alternate it with Brandt's Microdermabrasion, each 5 days apart, and my skin is very smooth and not damaged when doing so. However, both products make you more susceptible to burning, and together, you can really be affected, so UVA/UVB protection is essential.

I exfoliate with the Crystal Lift System once a week and I do Dr. Brandt's product once a week. I make sure I give 3-4 days between the exfoliation and the peel. I also use Cetaphil for cleanser and am very kind to my skin. And Always USe sunscreen 30 or higher.

How long should I leave this on?

I picked up a sample of the peel and the soothing gel at Sephora and am dying to use it. Trouble is that I cannot remember how long I'm supposed to leave it on! I have used other peels and scrubs without irritation but I really want to leave it on the true recommended time.

I would leave it for 5-6 minutes (max. 7) if your skin is oily, 4-5 if it's mixed, and 3 if it's sensitive/dry. I like to use this exfoliating system at least twice a week.

This product will help minimize the pores and reduce the swelling of pimples. Used weekly I feel you will see a great difference. Drinks 10 glasses of water and always us sunscreen faithfully. This has been part of my routine for 2 years now and I am quite happy with the results.

Yes, using glycolic and lactic acid (like in laser a-peel) will help tighten your skin's surface, making it smoother. This makes your pores appear smaller. Be sure and follow with SPF 30 every day to protect your newer skin from daily UV damage for best results.

For me the kit has supplied me with 30 or more applications. You need only a very thin film applied with a fan brush. With this it is foolish to be heavy with the product. THe less the better.

I would like to know if while using Laser A-Peel once a week to tighten my pores does it affect me if I vapourize my face for 10 minutes for facials?

I started using Laser A- Peel mostly to treat my pores and I am afraid that by vaporizing my face for 10 minutes instead accomplishing a benefit I will be affecting in reaching my goal of tightening my pores please somebody help me.

Why not do both? When you can, it will not harm to do one system on weeks 1 and 3 and the other weeks 2 and 4. I like this rather than the vaporizer as this has affects that go deeper, last longer and is very obvious to the observer. It is a product that literally makes your skin glow.

We recommend you do not use the steam vaporizer while using laser a-peel since it may cause redness which can lead to irritation. If you are prone to blackheads you should consider using pores no more - vacuum cleaner 1-2 times a week on a night that you are not using the peel.

I would not recommend using this product everyday, twice a week at the most and once a week would be better. you don't want to over-exfoilate your skin. Also you use the product for as long as you need it. After the first few weeks Iof using it once a week I would lengthen the time to twice a month or once a month if you have more sensitive skin like I do.

Yes, I believe so--the nature of the peeling process helps slough topical epidermal skin that eventually shows newer skin beneath. Though this is not as rigorous a facial as you might receive from an esthetician, it has faded my acne scar spots and skin discoloration, along with the Brandt Microdermabrasian cream, which I alternate with this.

No this product does not help dark spots/sun spot. There is a different Dr. Brandt product for that, I have a sample but have not tried it yet. you can go to any Sephora and ask for the sample to try before you buy.
