Honestly I take the sunscreen off at night and really can't tell the difference with the tint. I think it makes you skin glow more than look like there is a tint. However, once it dries and absorbs I don't notice the glow either. I think it would be ok for a guy to use.

If he is really fair you may not notice but it does transfer onto clothing a bit if you are not careful. My husband borrowed mine and did not care for it.

There is not much tint at all- the color blends in. Your husband would not look like he is wearing make-up.

You just see the tint from the package on your fingers but the minute you put it on your face, the tint goes away. It's not a makeup just a good sunblock and primer. I've used this for years!

The tint is quite sheer on this. I have extremely pale skin, and it didn't leave me looking orange or "made up". I'd imagine it would work well for your husband. Fair warning, though- it was really, really shiny on me. He may need to powder after applying this in order to avoid looking greasy. If he's not down with the idea of powdering, I'd suggest a different sunscreen,
If you do go with something else, my husband uses the Peter Thomas Roth uber dry sunscreen. Of all the things I've made him use, this is the one he's complained the least about, so I'd say it's pretty darn good!
