Does this mattify your face? Will it make my skin look more oily than it is?

pretty greasy, so don't hope for any mattifying effect.

answer 2
No this product will not mattify your skin. In fact, for being advertised as "lightweight" and "non-greasy", this product made my skin surprisingly shiny (and I have what I would consider to be very normal, balanced skin). I can't wear this without at least applying powder on top of it because of the shiny finish.

I found that the The Super City Block SPF 40 is too greasy to use under foundation, but if you just want to use it as a lightly tinted sunblock on its own, it's fine.

Yes and it looks good, but don't get too close to your eye, especially right above your eye. It can sweat and it'll sting your eyes

I used it on my face when we went to Disney in August and I did not get burned while the rest of me did! I live in Florida and I have used it on the beach, just make sure you reapply if you are out for a long period of time or go in the water.

answer 2
This product is a sunblock. Any physical sunblock (zinc/titanium dioxide) is much better than a chemical sunblock, so using this at the beach would be perfect. This should be the last skincare product you put on your face, so put on all your creams/serums, moisturizer, then this. If you want, you can then follow with a face primer and/or foundation.

I think you probably can. I haven't tried, but I wouldn't hesitate to in a pinch. I usually prefer a "sport" sunblock on my body, but if your skin is sensitive. I would do it.

Question
How to prevent it from flaking?
I love this product, but it flakes when I put it on top of Even Better Tone serum. Any way to make it easier to blend? I put foundation after this product too.

try using less and rubbing it in more. i found when i apply like a lotion it doesn't flake off. maybe making sure its dried completely before putting more products on top.

answer 3
I wear this product under my primer and foundation and havent had an issue with flaking. The only answer I can think of is maybe the time you wait between applying the products should be longer. Allow the serum to totally dry before you apply the Super City Block. If that doesnt work I would alternate between the serum and the protector. Hope this helps.

Question
spf 40 or 25?
I was wondering what would work better? since this product comes out in two different spf coverage. also, if 40 has longer coverage, does that mean I don't have to re-apply this during the day as opposed to 25 might need touch-ups?

1 SPF covers about 15 min. That mean higher the number, longer the coverage period. 25SPF covers about 6 hrs, after that you need to reapply.
In the city, 14 is enough to protect that covers 3 1/2 hrs so reapply every 3 1/2 hrs.

My t-zone is extremely oily so I'm always concerned with sunscreens because they usually just magnify that problem. The City Block is the first one I've found that absorbs easily without contributing to my shine or blemish problems. This definitely won't clog your pores..I recommend it!
