Question
I need a recommendation for which products to purchase.
I have combination skin, still prone to cystic acne although it is under control with medication. I am 50 years old and have the normal wrinkles associated with aging and some sun damage. I have red hair and a fair complexion with some freckles. I also have sensitive skin and at time get red, rough patchy places on my face or near my eyes. I have been researching this line and think it might be a solution for me.

on Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam

Like the Sephora employee that helped me said, you can't go wrong with the Immortelle line. I'm using the cleanser and regenerating serum, and will purchase other products from this line soon. My skin has never looked and felt better! I"ve used Shiseido, Korean lines, Dior, La Mer, Estee Lauder, and Clarins.

L'occitane is a great line. I used it while dealing with pregnancy breakouts. It did a nice job at calming my skin and cleaning things up.

I am 42, darker complexion. Break out occasionally, but this does not make me break out and is not drying. You can try out the cleanser or toner...if you don't like it, return it to Sephora.

This cleanser is very gentle. I live in Wyoming - where the wind blows constantly and it's absurdly cold. So not putting additional stress on my face when I cleanse is key. Also, I use the Apple Silk day moisturizer (or something like that) from L'Occitane, and it's very refreshing and light, but gives my skin the protection it needs so that the climate doesn't steal those good oils... My favorite thing right now, though, which has made blemishes run their cycle faster, is the Juice Beauty chemical peel. Very fresh!

Right on sister. Although I'm younger I have the same-ish problems. Cystic acne, freckles, dark spots, dry spots, oily spots, etc. You know, one of the things that has really helped me is the Immortelle Brightening Cleansing Foam. It seems to help out with balancing the pH of my skin, believe it or not. I dunno try it out. It might help. :)

This is a great gentle cleanser that works very well. If you are looking for exfoliation, have you tried philosophy's microdelivery exfoliating wash? It is super gentle and is another wonderful product. I switch between these two products, have very sensitive skin and have had wonderful results.

I'm an auburn hair girl myself, and have sensitive skin. I love this entire line, especially the new "devine" creams. They are so clean, gentle and soothing. i've always used skin care and this is the best I've used, better than La Mer (and a fraction of the price). I even convinced my hubby to use it and his skin has a major turn around as well! He is a fair red head with sensitive breakout prone skin. He's doing very well on this line! Good luck!

Your skin type is almost exactly what I have: fair, sensitive, and combination w/ adult onset hormonal cystic acne. I am not using medication to correct the cystic acne, but I am using this face wash with the accompanying eye cream and brightening serum, AND the L'occitaine Rice face wash, toner, and oil reducing serum (amazing!). I use the Rice regimen in the morning (and the eye cream), reducing the oil during the day (it really really really works!!)--and then I use this face wash and brightening serum at night. I use the accompanying exfoliating wash once a week (which surprisingly works wonders for the cystic acne!!!!). I know that's complicated--(and expensive), but I am generally against long-term hormonal systemic medications at my age, so I feel it is worth the health of my body to spend the money fixing the problem with face wash/creams.

I don't feel that this line would be too harsh. I find this cleanser to be very gentle. I also love the Immortelle moisturizers. The Very Precious Eye Serum is the best I've ever used. All of these products leave your skin silky soft and even toned. A big plus to me is the smell. It is just lovely!!

I too have red hair, light, sensitive skin. This product is just a little too harsh for me. The foaming action is too stripping of natural oils and leaves my skin very tight and dry. I LOVE the Cosmedicine line and would totally recommend the cleanser/toner from that line for you. The only drawback is that its pricier than other lines, but for me, completely worth it.
